Final Fantasy VII Remake
A modern remake of one of the most popular jRPG games of all times, developed for PlayStation 4 by the long-standing publisher of the Final Fantasy series, Japanese company Square Enix. The game is set in a universe that combines technology and fantasy elements. The player becomes a former soldier and mercenary, who joins an insurgent group called AVALANCHE. Its objective is to put an end to activities of the Shinra corporation that drains the planet’s energy, leading to an imminent end of the world. The remake stays true to the original mechanics, which boil down to exploration, conversations, character progression, and turn-based combat. The game features brand new graphics, as pre-rendered backgrounds gave way to fully 3D locations. Furthermore, the cartoonish character designs were dropped and look much more realistic.
Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth
A fan-made remake of the cult classic Warcraft III, a game originally developed and released by Blizzard Entertainment in 2002, by WCR_Team. The title is available as a free modification powered by the StarCraft II engine; to run it, the free Starter Edition of the game is sufficient. Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth faithfully recreates the story of the original game, which tells of the war between Humans, Orcs, the Undead, and the Night Elves that takes place in the land of Azeroth. The production does not alter the gameplay mechanics in any way, still offering a combination of a classical RTS and an RPG. Therefore, the game focuses on gathering resources, base development, training units, and commanding them into subsequent battles. What differentiates the game from the original Warcraft III are the clearly prettier graphics created from scratch while remaining true to the source. Armies of Azeroth uses the both the soundtrack and the voice-over from the original game.

The game is set in far future, when humanity is becoming an extinct species and the Earth is ruled by the Clusters - a faction using machines gifted with digitalized, human consciousness to achieve their goals. The player takes on the role of the chosen one, who is capable of putting an end to the machines' rule and reinvigorating the human species. The game is a top-down shooter focusing on dynamic action. Another installment of the legendary series of first-person shooters developed by id Software. The series became very popular mostly thanks to great and balanced multiplayer modes. Quake Champions concentrates on that aspect of the gameplay and it lacks classic campaign mode. Instead, it features dynamic gameplay for many players. The matches are played in a few varied PvP modes. One of the biggest and most controversial new features is allowing the players to control many completely different characters who have unique special abilities. This allows the player to control character whose fighting style fits his preferences. The developers made sure that abilities of some characters won’t give anyone great advantage during the matches and that the outcome of rounds – similarly as in previous installments of the series – depends only on skills of the players.

Gameplay revolves around exploration and searching for legendary pirate treasures, though there is a lot of fighting against monsters, as well as epic naval battles of competing groups. Strategy January 2017
An economy simulator focused on managing a city throughout two centuries, starting in 1820. It was developed by Fragment Productions, the creators of the Rescue series. In Urban Empire, we control an entire family from which the subsequent mayors of the city originate, and our tasks include developing the infrastructure and new districts, driving the economic growth, and ensuring our citizens’ satisfaction. The gameplay is richer thanks to the fact that, as decades pass, both the technology and the geopolitical situation change, constantly providing us with new challenges. Another interesting feature is the “unofficial” part of being a mayor — we can resort to various political and personal games as well as corrupting and blackmailing unfriendly persons.
