South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Another installment in an RPG series based on the Comedy Central’ cult adult-oriented cartoon TV series. The title is a direct sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth released in 2014. However, unlike that game, this one was created by an Ubisoft’s subsidiary. Once again you play as the New Kid, whose family just recently moved in to South Park. This tim, Cartman and his group play the roles of superheroes, making up the vigilante group of Coon & Friends. They have to face a new danger, the villainous Professor Chaos. In terms of gameplay mechanics, the game is similar to its predecessor, combining classic RPG elements with turn-based combat, further spiced up with a big doze of nasty humor invented by the creators of the TV series: Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
Heroes & Generals
A multiplayer war game set in the World War II period and a debut production of Danish studio Reto-Moto. Heroes & Generals stands out from the competition with its three game modes, each being able to exist as a separate game. The first one is a classic FPS that emphasizes teamwork and realism on the battlefield. The second one is a browser MMO strategy, where the players command their troops, recruit new units, and launch military operations. The third one, intended for casual player focuses on social networking, featuring support role minigames available as a smartphone app or via social networks. Heroes & Generals is free to play, although some extras require payment.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan

A third-person action game with fighting game elements and another computer adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. The title was developed by Platinum Games, an experienced Japanese studio, in cooperation with Nickelodeon. The gameplay mechanics of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Manhattan combine elements known to all fans of the series, such as dynamic combat with spectacular combos, the possibility of switching between characters, a large dose of humor, and tons of pizza, with the latest standards in gaming industry as an open world with a myriad of primary and secondary quests, an advanced combat system, or online features. The production offers an extensive single player story campaign as well as the possibility to join forces in an online cooperation mode for up to 4 players. The title’s visuals are generated by a fully three-dimensional graphics engine that supports cel-shading, which gives the game a typically cartoonish appearance.
Cube World is a sandbox action-RPG game created by an indie developer Picroma. This game is inspired by such titles as the cult Minecraft and franchises like Legend of Zelda and Monster Hunter. Cube World does not feature a story as such. Instead, the player explores an endless, randomly generated world, full of dungeons, castles, and monsters. Gameplay is based on exploration, questing, and environment shaping. In this voxel-based world you can erect and destroy buildings as well as craft useful items. Apart from single player gameplay, the game also offers online cooperation.
An atmospheric multiplayer-oriented survival horror game developed by an independent team at Section Studios. The action takes place at an old estate belonging to an industrial magnate who atrociously murdered his family and all the servants a hundred years earlier. Now, the house is being haunted by their ghosts trying to claim the lives of each and every visitor. A group of fearless friends decides to discover the secrets of the infamous estate and solve its dark mystery. The players are divided into teams. While the first group assumes the roles of daredevil friends, the second takes on the role of the ghosts hunting them. The gameplay resembles a game of hide-and-seek, because the players are not equipped with any weapons, and the only way they can achieve something is through interaction with the environment. The ghosts have to eliminate everyone who has entered the house, the undesired visitors, on the other hand, need to stay hidden or run for their lives if necessary.
Half-Life 2: Episode Three
The third expansion for Half-life 2, sequel to one of the most acclaimed first-person shooters, developed by Valve and released in 2004. Initially, Half-Life 2: Episode Three was supposed to be issued directly after the previous two episodes, released in years 2006 and 2007, but the project was canceled for unknown reasons. Story-wise, it was to be a continuation of the events presented by its predecessors and to bring a closure to many unresolved plots from the entire trilogy (e.g. events concerning the legendary Borealis ship and the technology found therein, all of which were to be destroyed by Gordon Freeman, the main protagonist). At the end of Episode Two, Freeman and his companion, Alyx, fly to Antarctica to find out what happened in the base located therein and why was it attacked by the Combine. Episode Three was supposed to provide explanations.
Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade

A third person MMO game set in the popular Warhammer 40.000 universe created by Games Workshop company. The game takes place in the titular 41st millennium and concentrates on galactic conflict between various races, fighting for control over different planets. When joining the game, we choose a faction, such as Space Marines, Eldars, or Orkz, allowing you and other players join the epic battle over certain territory. The game features an extensive character development system, thanks to which we can unlock numerous new skills and fighting techniques, as well as wide variety of battle equipment. The combat in the real-time PvP skirmishes is arcade, and their outcomes shape the entire universe.
Space Hulk: Deathwing
One of several video games based on Space Hulk - a board game created by Games Workshop and set in the world of Warhammer 40.000. In the case of Space Hulk: Deathwing, the players receive a fast-paced first person shooter created as a result of cooperation between Cyanide (the Blood Bowl series) and Streum On Studio (E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy). The player is put in the shoes of the titular Deathwing squad's member. Deathwing is a special squad of space marines, whose goal is to eliminate aliens resembling insects and liberate a huge space-junkyard called Space Hulk in so doing. Mysterious artifacts and ancient technologies have been concealed here, and have become targets of both desirous space pirates and the player's main enemy. The player travels through dark and claustrophobic locations, and the enemies themselves can frighten with their appearances. The player makes use of both futuristic weapons and bionic powers the world of Warhammer 40.000 is popular for. The game includes a character development system based on four skill trees. It is also worth mentioning that the game utilizes the Unreal 4 engine popularized by many other first person shooters.
A fan modification of the classic first-person shooter Half-Life from 1998; the mod's development took roughly 8 years to complete. In terms of plot, the production is a faithful recreation of the original game and tells the story of Gordon Freeman, a physicist, and his struggle for survival in the titular Black Mesa Research Facility invaded by mysterious beings from another dimension. The implemented changes relate primarily to the audio-visual aspects, which were developed entirely from scratch, using the original locations, 3D models, and sound effects as a model. The game is powered by the popular Source engine, which created for the cult Half-Life 2, enabling it – in comparison with the original GoldSrc engine – to fully employ the capabilities of modern graphics cards and multi-core processors. This allows us to enjoy high-quality visuals, improved physics and character animations, and a host of advanced visual effects. An entirely new soundtrack, composed by Joel Nielsen, was also made for the game.

An original mix of video game genres featuring elements of strategy, RPG, roguelike, economy, and exploration. The title was created by it Matters Games, a producer of mobile and browser games. Caravan takes you to the Arabian Peninsula in the beginning of the Common Era. The land was recreated with attention to historical detail, however, this did not stop the developer from implementing fantasy elements rooting back to the Middle Eastern mythology. In the game you assume the role of a head of a prominent merchant family who leads a caravan. Using the in-game map you select your travel destination and pick companions as well as fill the supply of water or merchandise. As you journey across the land you encounter random events – at these moments the perspective switches to 2D view of the caravan. The same happens in towns, which you visit in order to trade and develop your character’s skills. Combat and bargaining take the form of an original mini-game, which is a combination of rock-paper-scissors and a dice game.
A strategy game set in a science-fiction world in which we supervise an extraterrestrial colony. It has been developed by debuting independent studio Ludeon, established by a former employee of Irrational Games, who previously worked on the Bioshock series. The story of RimWorld takes place in a future in which humanity colonized many alien star systems, but they are located so far from each other that their inhabitants cannot count on anyone, but themselves. We take command over a small group of survivors of a colony space ship, with our task being to maintain the development and provide safety to our base. Aside from building structures and gathering food and resources we must assign each colonist with a task adequate to his or her skills. RimWorld features a unique complex tactical combat system and three independent AI systems that – depending on the situation – will generate random story arcs, making sure to maintain a proper level of drama throughout the gameplay.
An action RPG developed by Capcom Online Games in cooperation with SCE Japan Studio. The story of Deep Down presents a future in which humanity created a technology that allows people to travel into the past written in artifacts. The players assume the role of a group of time-travelling heroes to hunt treasures and fight monsters. The gameplay is specifically designed to allows cooperation of up to four players. The built-in social features allow communication with friends, calling them to aid us, and item sharing. Deep Down boasts high quality graphics powered by the Panta Rhei engine. The game is free-to-play and offers optional facilities for a fee.
Dead Island: Definitive Collection

A bundle including both installments of the Dead Island series, first-person action games with RPG elements developed by Techland for PC and 8th-generation consoles. The set contains the remastered editions of Dead Island (2011) and Dead Island: Riptide (2013), featuring almost identical stories and focusing on four characters forced to fight for survival on the zombie-infested islands of Banoi and Palanai. The games put a great emphasis on cooperation mode. What distinguishes the remastered versions are the graphics, powered by Chrome Engine 6, that boast sharper textures, a new lighting system, improved character models, and enhanced visual effects. Both games offer a revised user interface and a complete collection of DLCs. Dead Island: Definitive Collection comes with a bonus side-scroll fighting game titled Dead Island Retro Revenge.
Sniper Elite 4
The fourth major installment in the popular tactical first-person shooter series by Rebellion, in which we assume the role of a trained sniper fighting on various fronts of the World War II. In Sniper Elite 4, we control Karl Fairburne, the protagonist of the previous games, who is sent from North Africa to the Apennine Peninsula. His mission is to cooperate with the Italian resistance in order to help the Allied forces that are pushing to the north. As far as gameplay mechanics are concerned, the game develops the ideas of its predecessor, and our task is to efficiently eliminate subsequent targets; how are we going to do it is entirely up to us. The game takes place on vast sandbox maps and, as usual, puts a great emphasis on realistic recreation of bullet behavior depending on the atmospheric conditions. The title is meant to be played solo or in cooperation mode, although it does not lack for other multiplayer features known from its predecessors.
Serious Sam 4
Another major installment in the series of brutal and bloody shooters developed by the Croatian Croteam studio. The story of this part is set before the events of the third installment, in which Sam had to face the forces of the main antagonist - Mental in a futuristic, virtual version of ancient Egypt. Mental's goal was, obviously, to take over the Earth. However, the story in this new installment seems to be a bit more mature. In terms of gameplay, Serious Sam 4 remains faithful to the core mechanics of the series - the player once again eliminates entire hordes of enemies using a wide array of diversified weapons. What has changed however, is the approach to the players, who are now given significantly more freedom and huge open maps where even more dark creatures await them. When it comes to technology, the game is powered by Serious Engine 4, the improved version of the original, accompanied by motion capture and photogrammetry technologies.
Another installment in a popular FPS series that originated back in 1999. This title is a reboot of the series – and the first installment to feature the free-to-play business model – created by Epic Games, the fathers of the franchise. The game is set in the far future, when humans colonized many distant worlds and made contact with alien civilizations. As always, gameplay is focused on competitive multiplayer. Battles take place on large and diverse arenas. There is a wide selection of play modes, including classic Deathmatch and Capture the Flag, but also new, more complex modes. Along with the game, the authors offered powerful modding tools that let players change almost any element of the game. You can sell your works for in-game currency in a special store, and the profits from those transactions are the main source of income for the game’s developers.
Gran Turismo Sport
A spin-off to a popular racing game series developed for Sony’s consoles and the first one in the franchise that was tailor-made for PlayStation 4. Developed by Polyphony Digital in cooperation with the FIA organization, Gran Turismo Sport focuses on the titular motor sports, having the player compete for the most prestigious cups and titles just like real race drivers do. The gameplay mechanics corresponds with previous games in the series, letting you climb up the ladder of a professional driving career and drive a whole range of licensed sport cars, dedicated racing or concept cars. The competition has a different form here, as individual players represent their home countries or favorite car manufacturers. The game features more realistic driving model, as well as noticeably better graphics. It also supports the PlayStation VR headset.

The result of the independent Polish studio Pixel Crow's cooperation with 11 bit studios, the creators of This War of Mine. Beat cop is a point-and-click time management game. You play as Jack Kelly, a former NYC detective who was framed for murder and demoted. Hated by everyone around, Jack is trying to reconcile his duties with conducting a private investigation in order to discover who framed him. The plot of Beat Cop is non-linear and its many endings depend on your decisions. Inerestingly, the game was inspired by American crime TV shows from the 70s and 80s, which is reflected in its atmosphere and humor. The time-management element of the production is most visible when you're patrolling the streets of Brooklyn, while during the investigtion segments it becomes a detective/adventure game. Beat Cop has a distinct retro feel thanks to its pixel-art graphics and oldschool soundtrack.
The Mims Beginning

A simple real-time strategy by Polish studio Squatting Penguins. Plot of The Mims Beginning tells the story of titular Mims, who traverse the galaxy in search of a new home. However, their ship becomes damaged by an asteroid, so they are forced to seek refuge at nearby celestial bodies, each of which is distinguished by a different climate and terrain. Player's task is to help Mims in building and developing a colony in these difficult conditions. During the game we have to face many problems, the biggest of which are epidemic shortages of energy, generated from fruits of various plants. Besides, we deal with local fauna, eg. giant dragons, as well as with other threats. A characteristic feature of the game is that – like in the Black & White series – we do not have full control over our pupils and in the course of gameplay we can only indirectly influence their actions by giving simple commands, planting plants or designing the colony.
Total War: Arena
A strategy game that combines elements of RTS and MOBA productions, and a spin-off to the bestselling Total War series, distributed as a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions. Total War: Arena lets you take part in massive battles for up to 20 players grouped into two rivaling teams. Each contestant has three units to command, consisting of no more than 500 men each. The crew of Creative Assembly have decided to lift up the historical boundaries, so that now armies from completely different periods and civilizations can fight in one battle. Gameplay is focused on cooperation between players and skillful use of unique abilities of individual commanders.
Another game from Traveller's Tales, featuring the highly-popular LEGO bricks. Unlike the previous installments in the series, this time the game doesn’t take us to any movie or comic book universe. LEGO Worlds was designed as a multiplayer virtual playground, in which the gameplay is focused on creating our own constructions and exploring thus created brick world with other players. The game is a classic sandbox reminiscent of the popular Minecraft, giving us complete freedom to shape the world around us. Players can meet and interact in various ways, as well as take part in a variety of adventures. The game also provides a whole range of popular brick vehicles, and hostile characters with whom we often have to fight. The entire production features a colorful visual style characteristic for the whole series.

A third-person action game by Pixel Hero Games (the developer of Spiral: Episode 1). The title focuses on Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn – one of the most iconic characters from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The plot is based on the first volume of “Eisenhorn trilogy” written by Dan Abnett and presents the initial periods of the titular Inquisitor’s reign. Mechanically, Eisenhorn: XENOS resembles the series of Batman: Arkham and God of War. The hero can use a wide variety of weapons – there are both guns and a sword, which he uses most of the time. Combats consist in system of rhytmic attack combinations that are getting ever stronger as long as you keep the rhythm, which requires skills and good timing. Additionally, the protagonist can use tactic skills, such as temporal invisibility, psychic powers, and slow-motion inspired by V.A.T.S. system in Fallout 3. During combats and solving puzzles, Eisenhorn is accompanied by two other characters of the player’s choice.
Paladins: Champions of the Realm

A multiplayer-oriented first person action game developed by Hi-Rez. The action takes place in a slightly unusual fantasy world featuring advanced technology, including firearms and vehicles. Ironically, all of the technological advancements present here are powered by magic. The gameplay focuses on online battles between small groups of players controlling characters belonging to different available classes, each having distinctive weapons and four unique skills. The battles are very fast-paced in any of the several different game modes. The most important is the Siege, in which a great siege engine appears on the battlefield. Furthermore, the game diversifies the experience by adding elements of card games - the players can build card decks. The cards can provide a character with different bonuses, and three of them, selected at random, are available to use during a match.
A cyberpunk tactical top-down shooter game inspired by the Syndicate series. It's the first title created by Polish studio Reikon Games, previously involved in the production of such games as Dead Island: Ripide, Dying Light and the Witcher franchise. The game takes place in a futuristic world plagued with violence, injustice and oppression. You play as a lower-class citizen, a sociopath plugged into virtual reality, who declares war on the corporation ruling his city. Ruiner features a classic isometric view and modern graphics full of spectacular visual effects, based on the advanced Unreal 4 engine, while the cel shading gives the game a slightly comic-book-like vibe.
