The gameplay focuses on the exploration of the enormous game world, where the players can trade, take assignments, and participate in realistic sea battles. The game features faithfully recreated weapons from the period, including various types of cannons, mortars, and carronades. One of the game's characteristic, and very realistic, features is the ship handling, as the player can control each sail separately and the crew management is also rather complex. On The Road
On The Road is a truck driving simulator developed by the German studio Toxtronyx. The game allows the players to travel on over 1400 kilometers of highways and around 300 kilometers of trunk roads. Players can also visit a dozen or so cities, like Berlin, Hamburg, Dortmund, or Munich. What is interesting, the lay of the land is based on the satellite data. The day/night cycle and variable weather conditions make the game more diverse. Gameplay focuses on doing the most profitable jobs where we have to deliver the assigned cargo to its destination. Mastering the game's hard, simulative driving model is the key to success. Developers of On The Road formed a kind of partnership with MAN. Thanks to that, all of the vehicles we drive in the game are designed with the highest attention to detail. It can be said about the interior of our truck, all kinds of semitrailers we will use, or even the used technology, like the TipMatic gearbox. Sadly, the game's visuals are not as good as one would want them to be. They are mediocre at most.
An original mix of simulation and logic game from the British developer Spiderling, which lets players construct inventive siege weapons that will help them annihilate enemy troops and fortifications. The game puts you up against various challenges, starting with crushing ordinary civil buildings, to besieging heavily fortified strongholds defended by brave knights. In order to succeed you have to use the available parts to create a unique siege weapon able to crush your opponent’s resistance and resist enemy counter-attacks. Players’ creativeness is restrained by nothing; all it takes is a bit of imagination to go from constructing only standard medieval siege weapons, to flame throwers, tanks, simple flying machines, and anything in between. The game features full 3D graphics, and its relatively low system requirements were achieved by reducing the field of view to the nearest area.
The Escapists 2
Simulation November 2017
A sequel to the 2015 game by Mouldy Toof which was a unique arcade 2D platformer with elements of logic and RPG productions. In The Escapist 2, the players assume the role of inmates locked up in heavily-guarded prisons, and their task is to work out the security system and to escape. To do so, we have to look for allies and items that can be crafted into useful tools while pretending that we tend to our usual prison routines. Compared to the original, the game features a myriad of enhancements such as new ways of spending spare time, a modified combat system, a possibility of creating previously unavailable items, and new ways of escaping. One of the biggest novelties is the introduction of a drop in/drop out multiplayer mode in which up to four players can play on a split screen or over the Internet.

Farming Simulator 18
An unusual simulation game developed by one of the former developers of the F1 series. Jalopy takes us to Eastern Europe of the late 80s and early 90s, just after the fall of communism. In the game, we sit behind the wheel of a fictional car called Laika 601 Deluxe, which was modeled after the famous DDR’s Trabant. The player’s task is to use the economical inequalities in various European countries in order to earn money quickly. It includes trading with various goods by buying them for next to nothing and selling them in places where people are ready to purchase them for large sums of money. Transporting some items abroad, we have to take border controls into account, which often forces us to smuggle. Apart from the economic aspect, Jalopy offers an extensive simulation mechanics that involve maintaining our car (refueling, repairing, and not overloading it) but also the driver, who has to eat, drink, and sleep, among other things. The title features simple vector graphics and brownish colors that emphasize the grim atmosphere of the period.
