A first-person perspective (FPP) sandbox survival horror game. The Forest is the work of an independent studio SKS Games, known mainly for the smartphone hit, End Night. The player assumes the role of a sole survivor of a plane crash. The hero ends up on an isolated island far away from civilization, inhabited by a tribe of cannibalistic mutants. The gameplay focuses on the exploration of land (forest, caves, etc.), survival skills (building a shelter, searching for food, setting traps, etc.

Seventh major installment in the cult series of survival horrors created by Capcom and launched in year 1996 on the PlayStation console. Subsequent parts of this long-standing series concentrate on a battle the humanity wages against a deadly virus which transforms those it infects into bloodthirsty monsters. The players accompany several characters who appeared in various installments of Resident Evil over the years as well as in many side installments.

A sequel to the Valve Software's best-selling game that set new standards for the FPS genre back in 1998. Half-Life 2 is set several years after the events of the first game. Once again, the player assumes the role of Gordon Freeman – a doctor of physics who used to work in Black Mesa Labs, where an unfortunate incident opened a portal for alien life forms to invade the Earth. This time, the story takes us into a fictional City 17 and its immediate vicinity.

An FPS intended for VR headsets, heavily inspired by the STALKER series. In Convrgence we end up in an exclusion zone where daredevils look for valuable artifacts. It's a dangerous place in which we must watch out for bandits and mutants. We have a dog as a companion.

A third-person action game set in a fantasy world inspired by Celtic mythology. Title was developed by the British studio Ninja Theory, known for Enslaved, Heavenly Sword, and DMC: Devil May Cry. In the game we traverse a dark, mythical world, full of references to popular stories, characters, and monsters born in the imagination of the Celts. Protagonist of the game is a female warrior named Senua, who embarks on a dangerous journey to the land of the dead.

Action June 2024 (early access since 16 August 2013)

A post-apocalyptic sandbox FPS developed by a debuting indie studio The Fun Pimps. The game takes you to a near future, when a nuclear war allowed a dangerous virus to spread across the entire world. The virus kills its victims in 7 days, as the title suggests, and turns them into bloodthirsty zombies. You play as one of the few not infected people, fighting for survival in Navezgane County, Arizona. 7 Days to Die allows you to freely explore its open world, adjusting the story to your actions.

Another part of the Half-Life shooter series. This time we are dealing with a title dedicated to the VR sets, in which we control Alyx Vance, heroine known from the Half-Life 2. The production was developed by Valve Software.

The continuation of the multiplayer FPS with strategy elements, being a continuation of the legendary Quake’s freeware modification from 1996. After Valve Corporation bought the title, subsequent versions of the game were powered by Half-Life’s engine, while TF 2 utilizes the modern Source engine. To some extent, mechanics resemble those in the original Team Fortress, which means completing subsequent missions, despite the other team's efforts to prevent that.

An original survival horror, in which we take the role of a car driver whose mission is to gather information during the journey through a gloomy communist country. Beware features a first-person perspective, and the gameplay offers loads of impressive car chases, stealth elements, and thrilling encounters with other drivers.

An online action game focused on PvP competition, developed with virtual reality in mind. The Unspoken was created by Insomniac Games, the creators of Sunset Overdrive, Fuse, and the Ratchet & Clank series, among other things. The Unspoken is set in a world that bears resemblance to the present with the only difference being that magic exists, and it's incredibly spectacular. The players assume the role of mages who fight each other in one on one fights organized by an ancient order.

First-person action game based on the license of the cult comic book series of Robert Kirkman. In The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners we find ourselves in New Orleans, where two warring factions are fighting for their influence. The title was prepared for virtual reality sets.

Project Wingman is an alternative reality-based arcade game. During the adventure, the player takes on the role of a fighter pilot and takes part in a global conflict, covering almost the entire Earth.

A first-person action game and at the same time a rather peculiar superhero simulator - Megaton Rainfall is the debut project from the independent Spanish developer Pentadimensional Games. The action of the game is set more or less in the modern times, when the Earth falls victim to an invasion of aliens who want to exterminate all humans. The player assumes the role of an immortal superhero exhibiting supernatural abilities. They are tasked with facing the alien aggressors.

A spin-off of the popular series of post-apocalyptic shooters, developed by Vertigo Games with VR headsets in mind. Metro Awakening has us play as Serdar - a doctor trying to find his wife and obtain medicine her life depends on.

Home Sweet Home is a first-person perspective horror inspired by Thailand’s mythology and beliefs. Since his wife has gone missing, Tim has hit the bottom. One night, the protagonist wakes up in an unknown, locked and closed residential facility. A young woman covered in blood lurks in the darkness. Is it a demon, part of his broken psyche, or maybe the soul of his lost loved one?

Action game with cRPG elements produced by German development studio Realmforge (known from such titles as M.U.D. TV and Dungeons). The plot of the main campaign presents adventures of Eric Bane. The man was bitten by a vampire. There's not much time left for him to complete the transformation process or else he'll become a brainless ghoul. The gameplay in DARK is based on stealth elements.

ARKTIKA.1 is a VR science fiction first-person shooter developed by 4A Games, creators of the Metro game series. The game takes place in the 22nd century, a couple of decades into the new ice age. Humans are forced to live in areas near the equator, but the territories in the north and south are yet to be completely abandoned because they are still rich in natural resources. Some people still live in the icebound parts of the planet in order to gather them.

A VR, first-person spin-off of Assassin's Creed. Assassin’s Creed: Nexus VR has us reliving the memories of Kassandra, Ezio Auditore and Connor Kenway, trying to solve the mystery of the artifacts they've hidden.

The second VR spin-off of the Sniper Elite series. Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior is set in Italy during World War II, having us play as a resistance fighter trying to drive the Nazis out of his homeland.

Action September 2024 (early access since 11 December 2018)

First-person action game in fantasy climates, in which the fun is to fight in the arenas. Blade and Sorcery was created with the VR in mind and offers a realistic combat system that tries to simulate clashes using a variety of weapons and even magic. WarpFrog studio is responsible for the title.

Marvel Powers United VR is a PC FPP action game requiring a VR headset. You play as one of the many Marvel comic book characters, each of them possessing their distinct characteristics and special abilities. The gameplay consists mostly of fighting hordes of enemies.
