In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Titan Souls

A two-dimensional retro action platform game inspired by typical cRPGs and the cult PS2 title Shadow of the Colossus. Titan Souls was developed by the independent, three-person studio Acid Nerve and it is an expanded, commercial version of the application created during the Ludum Dare competition. The game takes place in ancient ruins in which, according to a legend, the souls of titans were placed.

DarkMaus

A 2D action RPG in the fantasy convention from the independent developer Daniel Wright, featuring a classic view from above. DarkMaus’ story takes place in a land inhabited by humanoid rodents and other intelligent animals. The player takes control over a lone mouse warrior, traversing the world corrupted by darkness in search of anything worth saving. Gameplay focuses on exploration and fights with various monsters, offering arcade, but relatively slow-paced battles.
