An official sequel to the 2013’s sandbox action game by Undead Labs. The action of State of Decay 2 takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world after an outbreak of a zombie epidemic. While playing, we get a chance to led a group of survivors, each of whom has their own biography, skills, and character traits. We can freely switch between them while building a shelter, exploring the world, and searching nearby buildings for resources necessary for survival.

A MMO FPP/TPP shooter with RPG and sandbox survival elements, developed by Russian studio Battlestate Games. Players become the members of two rivaling military corporations, fighting on the territory of an abandoned Russian city. Unlike many popular online shooters, this game stands out thanks to interesting story and full freedom of exploration combined with a whole bunch of various additional activities, which you can complete on your own or in cooperation with friends.

The second installment in the popular action game series (with RPG elements) that revolve around multiplayer experience. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is a result of cooperation between Ubisoft Massive and other development teams owned by the French publisher. The game is based on the modified Snowdrop Engine, thus the visuals are of very high quality.

A remastered version of ARK: Survival Evolved, based on Unreal Engine 5 technology, ARK: Survival Ascended will feature all the content of the basic version of the game, ARK: Survival of the Fittest mode and a number of "non-canonical" maps.

A sandbox survival simulator set in an open world, which draws inspiration from productions such as DayZ. Unlike in the aforementioned title, this time we fight against powerful prehistoric creature instead of zombies. The game is the debut of an independent studio called Wildcard, founded by a former employee of Microsoft Game Studios. The player begins the game defenseless and naked on an unidentified island, and his or her task is to survive in this new, harsh environment.

Action 2024 (early access since 02 December 2015)

A survival sandbox, in which the player assumes the role of a dinosaur. The Isle Development Team enabled the player to control creatures like Austroraptor, Carnotaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Gallimimus, Utahraptor, Acrocanthosaurus and Allosaurus. The main and only objective of the game is to survive on an island the size of more than a dozen of square kilometers. Depending on the selected creature, the player must hunt for smaller dinosaurs, hide in bushes from predators etc.

A post-apocalyptic MMO first person shooter. The game, created by the Czech developer Bohemia Interactive Studios, is an expanded version of a popular ArmA II mod. DayZ features a world where most of the population turned into bloodthirsty zombies. The game is set in a fictional country called Chernarus, where the remaining humans try to survive at all cost.

A co-op sci-fi shooter game developed by Digital Extremes, the creators of The Darkness II, Pariah, and Dark Sector. It's a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions. The story takes place in the far future, in the far region of the galaxy, where the Tenno race is fighting the Grineer empire. The chances of both sides become more balanced when the Tenno discover the ancient battle armors, giving their owners extraordinary offensive capabilities.

An online first-person shooter set in the fictional country of Lamang. Gray Zone Warfare focuses on realism, including weapon behavior and effects of injuries.

An online survival action game developed by Gamepires and Croteam, the creators of Serious Sam. The action of SCUM takes place in an alternative reality, where humanity, desiring intense experiences, watches a brutal TV show in which prisoners fight among themselves for life and the favor of the sponsors and fans. The competition, being one season of the program, takes place on Bagne de Cayenne, a grand island. The only task of the player is to survive.

Unturned is a sandbox MMO game that combines the mechanics of the popular DayZ mod with the visual style of Minecraft. The game is distributed for free and was created by a sixteen year old teenager – Nelson Sexton. The game takes place in an open world overrun by a zombie epidemic and forces the player into a fight for survival in this dangerous environment. Just like other, similar games, the main part of the gameplay is resource-gathering-oriented exploration.

Action 2024 (early access since 22 December 2018)

Ambitious pirate MMO, which was created by developers of ARK: Survival Evolved. Players play on a huge map of the world, designed for a maximum of 40 thousand people. The adventure begins with building the first ship and selecting the crew to gain control over the territory. Fighting for influence with other groups of players is the main premise of the game.

PLAN 8 is a MMO shooter embedded in the reality of science fiction. Production takes players to a robot-controlled world where mankind has to fight for survival. Pearl Abyss studio is responsible for the development of the game.

An MMO shooter game played from the first-person view and developed by a studio belonging to Sony Online Entertainment. The game debuted on PCs, but eventually it was also released for PlayStation 4. The game is set on the planet Auraxis, where colonists from Earth are fighting for territory, power, and resources. The players reinforce the ranks of one of the three factions (Terran Republic, New Conglomerate, Vanu Sovereignty).

Multiplayer action game with a third-person perspective (TPP), branded with the name of a popular writer of thriller novels. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online is another Ubisoft production distributed on a free-to-play basis with the option of micropayments for certain items and facilities. The action of the game takes place in the near future. Players take on the roles of soldiers who equipped with futuristic weaponry take part in a global conflict between superpowers.

Crystal Kingdom is an independent title, which is a combination of jRPG embedded in fantasy climates and complex elements characteristic for the MMO species. The game is especially distinguished by retro graphics reminiscent of the 90s - the golden age of 16-bit productions, such as Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy. Alias: Seyken Crystal Kingdom.

A first-person MMO shooter developed by the Ukrainian studio Vostok Games. Survarium is set in a post-apocalyptic universe of a near future, where human civilization lost a war against the forces of nature. Players take command of one of the remaining humans, who now gather in small groups in order to survive in this hostile environment. The players meet up in instances, and the missions they have to undertake often require cooperation in small teams.
