A 2D arcade game with platformer elements, and the debut of the Canadian indie developer Astro Base. During the gameplay we step into the shoes of one of the two operators of a small space station, and it is our task to defend it against consecutive waves of enemy attacks. The missions are played out in randomly generated locations, and the players need to navigate the corridors of the station in order to reach the various control consoles that are located inside them.

The action of the game is set in the future, and the player plays the role of the title pilot Strike Suit - a super advanced fighter capable of transforming it into a combat moss - who takes part in a cosmic war, repelling an attack on Earth. The artist Junji Okubo and composer Paul Ruskay took part in the work on the game.

In GALAK-Z, we assume the role of a space fighter pilot who has to face enemies armed to the teeth and hostile environmental conditions. Although the general gameplay premise isn’t really different from the genre’s standards, the developers introduced several innovations. The first is the control model based on two analog sticks that we use to move and shoot, while special attacks are assigned to gamepad buttons.
