For MMO aficionados, the developers have created the Galaxy Mode, allowing them to play with thousands of others. Spectacular visuals of Star Citizen are generated by the CryEngine 3 engine.
ARK: Survival Evolved (PC)
A sandbox survival simulator set in an open world, which draws inspiration from productions such as DayZ. Unlike in the aforementioned title, this time we fight against powerful prehistoric creature instead of zombies. The game is the debut of an independent studio called Wildcard, founded by a former employee of Microsoft Game Studios. The player begins the game defenseless and naked on an unidentified island, and his or her task is to survive in this new, harsh environment. In order to do that, we must hunt and gather various raw materials which will be used to create the much needed weapons and tools. One of the most fun aspects of ARK: Survival Evolved are the meticulously depicted creatures – the game features more than 60 species of dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals. Since the title features o multiplayer experience, meeting other players in the game world will happen and, depending on their attitude, we can fight them or establish valuable alliances.
H1Z1: King of the Kill (PC)
An MMO shooter with survival elements, set in a world after a zombie outbreak, developed by the Daybreak Game Company studio. The title is one of the two alternative versions of the survival sandbox game formerly known as H1Z1 that was divided into two independent productions during the early access stage. Unlike H1Z1: Just Survive, that remained faithful to the developers' original concept, H1Z1: King of the Kill focuses on dynamic action and players competing in one of several PvP modes, spearheaded by the Battle Royale mode, well-known from the original game. The game features also some elements of survival: before the struggle begins the players get a little time to gather resources and create equipment that they will use to fight their opponents. However, in contrast to the original game these elements were marginalized.
A digitally distributed free-to-play MMO developed by Russian studio Gaijin Entertainment – creators of such titles as X-Blades, Wings of Prey, and War Thunder. Gameplay mechanics combines large-scale battles known from World of Tanks with post-apocalyptic setting inspired by the Mad Max movies. Crossout is set in a future world devastated by an alien invasion and genetic experiments. Players have to survive in this hostile environment and take part in rivalry of armored vehicles. When beginning the game, you get a simple jeep with a basic, mounted gun, but as you progress you can turn it into a massive monster truck – a mobile fortress that strikes fear in other players’ hearts. The game offers a variety of modifications, starting with different shapes of armor, weapons and side systems, through to esthetic additions.
The Black Death (PC)
Set in Medieval Europe, a MMORPG born from cooperation between two small independent studios: Syrin and Small Impact Games. Gameplay takes place in an open world inspired by Western Europe’s landscapes and its area amounts to 8,000 sq m. At the beginning, you choose one of the eight available professions (a farmer, a knight, etc.), which determines the nature of gameplay. Apart from completing quests, you need to satisfy the basic needs of your avatar and avoid contact with the infected. In the course of the game many times you will fight with the use of an extensive and difficult combat system that enables to land precise strikes and parry attacks.
Chronicles of Elyria (PC)
An MMORPG developed by Soulbound. Chronicles of Elyria is set in a fantasy world inspired by the medieval Europe. The game received financial support on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. The mechanics combine elements borrowed from the classics of the genre with innovative features. Therefore, the player explores a diverse, extensive world, completes various quests, but also caters for the basic needs of their character - food, drink, rest and shelter from cold and heat all have to be provided. Interestingly, the player's avatar can get married and have children. What is especially innovative however, is that one's character ages and eventually dies - their soul reincarnates and the player can continue the adventure in the body of the deceased's relative. What is also worth mentioning, is the game's character development system (which is based on skills learned alongside progression), and a complex and demanding combat system. Furthermore, both NPCs and players can give quests. Chronicles of Elyria offers both the PvE and PvP components. Obviously, the player is capable of founding guilds and making alliances as well.
Riders of Icarus (PC)
RPG 06 July 2016
An epic fantasy MMORPG developed by WeMade Entertainment with Nexon. The game’s plot is not an original one, and tells the story of a group of warriors fighting against an ancient evil that grew stronger having spent long years in slumber, and now threatens the entire world. The title doesn’t deviate from typical features of the genre, and the fun boils down mainly to exploration and performing quests that involve fighting various opponents. The biggest highlight of Riders of Icarus is the possibility of taming and riding many mythical beasts of different abilities. With time, the animal not only becomes our devoted friend but also a real killing machine that, depending on its unique traits, can fight alongside us or be our mount (a land or a flying one). This introduces a rather rare element of aerial combat to the genre. It is also an important part of an extensive combo-based combat system.
Tiger Knight: Empire War (PC)
An MMO game featuring elements of action, real-time strategy and role-playing. The game was created by NetDragon; it is a free-to-play title that uses microtransactions. Tiger Knight: Empire War is set in the second century AD. The player picks a side and assumes the role of a general - the game features Rome, the Parthian Empire, the Kushan Empire and the Chinese Han dynasty - those were the largest empires of the period. The gameplay formula was based on two pillars. Spectacular, fast-paced action is the first of them; the player takes part in direct combat against enemy forces. The game stands out with an extensive combat system - not only is one's effectiveness dependent on the weapon and technique we use, but also on the kind of armor the enemy is using. The second of the pillars is constituted by the strategic aspects. What is significant here, is that the player has to command armies comprised of both regular soldiers and commanders gifted with special abilities. Being able to apply adequate tactics, as well as putting one's units into a formation that corresponds to the topography of the battlefield is the key to success here. Furthermore, the game comes with a set of diverse modes - those allow us to take part in multiplayer skirmishes, as well as to cooperate with our team during a full-spectrum conflict against the AI.
A survival sandbox with space sim features focused on online play. Hellion invites the players to a distant future in which humanity organized an intergalactic colonization mission. After awakening from a decades-long cryogenic sleep, the protagonist finds only ruined space stations and shipwrecks. Together with a small group of other survivors, he must survive in hostile environment and find the reasons for the failure of his mission. Since the fight for survival takes place in space, in addition to searching for resources, crafting and maintaining good health, one must also maintain his ship. Hellion offers high level of realism when it comes to physics, sound dispersion and impact of damage on equipment behavior. Both exploration and controlling larger ships requires the players to cooperate with each other. Some players can turn out to be traitors. When fights happen, one can use advanced weapons.

Crush Online (PC)
Strategy 10 October 2016
Crush Online is an MMO developed by Korean studio JoyImpact. The game is focused on dynamic PvP duels, evoking games such as League of Legends or Dota 2. Crush Online is set in a fantastic world of Gaia, inhabited by three factions fighting for influence. At the beginning of the game, players choose one of these and create their avatar, which will then be developed throughout the game. The recipe of the duels is similar to most popular MOBA games; some NPCs help the player during battles as they divert enemies from attacking player’s defense towers. A curious addition to the gameplay is the fact that the gameworld exists permanently, in the sense that – contrary to other games – it constantly changes even after a match ends. As in any respectable MMO, here we can join guilds, forge alliances and take part in battles for control over a given territory. The award for this are different kinds of loot and powerful character upgrades.
Goat MMO Simulator (PC)
Adventure 20 November 2014
A free DLC to the bestseller production by Swedish Coffee Stain Studios, balancing on the border of absurdity. The action takes us to a fantasy land of dwarves and elves, in which goats and sheep wage a war. While creating your hero, you can choose one of five available classes: Warrior, Rogue, Magician, Hunter, and… Microwave. Following the path of the genre’s classic titles, gameplay comes down to completing more or less absurd quests during which your character earns experience points necessary to gain experience levels. The production also features a variety of enemies and a whole range of ridiculous activities. Apart from changed visuals - now kept in a fantasy style - there are loads of bugs just like in the original title - many of them are implemented on purpose.
