The sequel to a highly popular MMO game set in fantasy world, developed by NCSoft’s studio ArenaNet. The story begins 250 years after the events shown in the Guild Wars: Eye of the North expansion. Due to the return of ancient dragons, the world has changed significantly. Many towns and regions were destroyed beyond recovery. New technologies appeared as well (e.g. gunpowder), which had a visible effect on the lives of inhabitants. Similarly to its 2005 predecessor, players start their journey in Guild Wars 2 by creating a hero, choosing from 5 playable races and 8 classes. The gameplay has been designed mainly with small character parties in mind, making it easier to earn experience and precious loot. The game stands out with its high quality visuals and atmospheric soundtrack composed by Jeremy Soule.
H1Z1: King of the Kill (PC)
An MMO shooter with survival elements, set in a world after a zombie outbreak, developed by the Daybreak Game Company studio. The title is one of the two alternative versions of the survival sandbox game formerly known as H1Z1 that was divided into two independent productions during the early access stage. Unlike H1Z1: Just Survive, that remained faithful to the developers' original concept, H1Z1: King of the Kill focuses on dynamic action and players competing in one of several PvP modes, spearheaded by the Battle Royale mode, well-known from the original game. The game features also some elements of survival: before the struggle begins the players get a little time to gather resources and create equipment that they will use to fight their opponents. However, in contrast to the original game these elements were marginalized.

A free-to-play MMORPG fantasy game featuring micro-transactions. The fantastic setting of Titan Siege combines the elements taken from Norse, Greek, and Egyptian mythologies. Players assume the roles of heroes, who defend the humanity from Titan factions waging war against one another. The journey begins with the character creation – a player can choose the sex, appearance and combat stats of his protagonist. The gameplay builds on open world exploration, completing quests assigned by NPCs, fighting encountered foes (including huge bosses), and upgrading the main protagonist’s skills – all this in a typical for the MMORPG genre way. During the game, players also acquire new items, enchanted scrolls, and pieces of armor, which aid their characters in battle. Traveling through the vast locations can be sped up by obtaining a steed. Both pets and friendly players can help us in battles. On the other hand, however, some players can also challenge us to a duel – the winner gets the equipment from the fallen hero.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind (PC)
RPG 06 June 2017
Another large expansion pack for an MMORPG entitled The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited (created by ZeniMax Online Studios). The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited - Morrowind gives us an opportunity to visit the island of Vvardenfell, which is located in the titular province of Morrowind. The plot revolves around a mysterious sickness which has taken its toll on Vivec - a member of the Trinity of divine entities that have guarded this part of the world. The player's task will be to find the medicine and restore Vivec to health. Exploration and completing different quests given by the inhabitants of an extensive world remain the core of the experience. Fighting various enemies is another important part of the game. Although one can experience what this world has to offer solo, the adventure gets deeper when the player is accompanied by others. Apart from an additional place to explore and a new storyline, the add-on introduces a new character class, that is, the Warden. This class makes a great use of the magic of nature, but is also supported in combat by a tamed bear. A new PvP mode constitutes another novelty - the Battlegrounds are focused on three teams of four players fighting one another.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood (PC)
RPG 20 June 2017
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is the second expansion to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, an MMORPG developed by Square-Enix. The newest expansion allows the players to travel beyond Eorza, to the territories occupied by the Garlean Empire. Stormblood also definitively ends the game's support for PlayStation 3. The biggest addition to the game introduced by Stormblood are the new locations. We will visit Ala Mhigo, travel to the new continent Othard and Doma Kingdom that lies there. The expansion also introduces new dungeons, raids (i.e. Return to Ivalice designed for 24 players), and special events. Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood increases the level cap to 70, introduces new skills, and two new classes: Red Mage and Samurai. You will also find tons of new, powerful pieces of equipment.
The Exiled (PC)
A sandbox MMORPG set in a dark fantasy world, focusing on PvP mode and interactions between players. We play as a person imprisoned in vast valley, where they must build a shelter, find allies and finally escape. This cannot be achieved without other players, but we also compete with them for resources crucial for survival and achieving our main objective. The Exiled gives us total freedom in developing the abilities of our character, though offensive skills are strictly bound to the weapon and equipment we wield. The battle system promotes good aim, timing and tactical sense. Instead of complex plot and side quests, the players are driven by constant competition with each other and need to protect their resources. On the other hand, working together brings more benefits than rivalry. Each server ends the game after some time and announces its winners.
A survival simulator that emphasizes multiplayer. It is the first major production by Bankroll, an Australian developer studio. The gameplay mechanics do not deviate from the majority of similar games, especially the bestselling Rust. The player character finds himself at a vast desert plain and his task is to survive in this hostile environment. The game focuses primarily on survival aspects and the most important thing is to ensure that the protagonist has his basic needs satisfied and protected from such hazards as hunger, thirst, fatigue, radiation, or changing weather conditions. From among other titles in the genre, Hurtworld is distinguished by a protection system that evens out the chances of beginners and seasoned players. Another noteworthy feature is the punishment system — should a character who has killed many rivals die, he loses more valuable equipment than the others.
RPG 01 May 2012
TERA is a fantasy MMORPG developed by Bluehole. During our adventures we play as members of the Valkyon Federation, an alliance of races inhabiting the game’s world. Our task is to protect it from various internal and external threats. The players have eight classes and six races to choose from. Among them we will find not only humans and elves, but also completely new races, created specially for the game. TERA is a third-person game set in a big, open world. Its economic and political structures are shaped by the players themselves. What makes TERA shine among other MMORPGs is the game's combat system. Effects of our attacks are based on our relative position against the enemy, which makes TERA more like an arcade game in terms of combat. That is why it is advisable to use a gamepad when playing.
The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar (PC)
RPG 24 April 2007
Ashes of Creation (PC)
An MMORPG title set in fantasy world developed by Interpid Studios, which was established by veteran developers. Ashes of Creation takes us to fantasy land which faced a vision of doom a long time ago. Now there are only remains of the civilization, and when they members of sentient species regained rule over the land, they also woke up an old threat. We create our own hero choosing one of eight races with different specializations. Gameplay isn’t much different than what we can see in other games from the genre, though we can get our own land to build a house and take one of many available jobs. One noteworthy feature is a vast and varied world, which is shaped by players’ actions alongside plot.
Riders of Icarus (PC)
RPG 06 July 2016
An epic fantasy MMORPG developed by WeMade Entertainment with Nexon. The game’s plot is not an original one, and tells the story of a group of warriors fighting against an ancient evil that grew stronger having spent long years in slumber, and now threatens the entire world. The title doesn’t deviate from typical features of the genre, and the fun boils down mainly to exploration and performing quests that involve fighting various opponents. The biggest highlight of Riders of Icarus is the possibility of taming and riding many mythical beasts of different abilities. With time, the animal not only becomes our devoted friend but also a real killing machine that, depending on its unique traits, can fight alongside us or be our mount (a land or a flying one). This introduces a rather rare element of aerial combat to the genre. It is also an important part of an extensive combo-based combat system.
World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor (PC)
RPG 13 November 2014
The fifth expansion pack for World of Warcraft - the bestselling MMORPG game that is still as popular as it was back in 2004. Contrary to the previous expansions, Warlords of Draenor does not introduce new races, focusing instead on a completely new land called Draenor and offering dozens of new quests, monsters and bosses. When exploring Draenor, which is divided into seven zones, the player visits mainly dried wastelands, forests filled with wildlife, frozen highlands and new dungeons. Significantly, the expansion introduces strategy elements allowing the players to build and manage their own fortresses. Within the place, the players can construct various buildings, such as inns, armories or stables. What's more, the players can also establish trading routes and hire henchmen willing to obtain weapons, treasures and materials for them. Additionally, the level cap was raised to 100. Both in terms of the mechanics and visuals, Warlords of Draenor represents the next stage in the evolution of the popular MMO game.

The game also introduces lots of changes to gameplay mechanics and character progression system (modified Mastery system and secondary specializations). For the enthusiasts of competitive gameplay, a new PvP Stronghold mode awaits, as well as the map called Borderlands, designed with World vs. World gameplay in mind.

More experienced player can try the special “Elite” difficulty level. Compared to the other games in the series, the visuals of Age of Empires online are more cartoonish. The game utilizes a free-to-play model, although new civilizations, add-ons and bonus missions cost real-life money. On 1 July 2014 the development of the game has ended and its servers were closed.
Guardians of Ember (PC)
RPG December 2017
An MMORPG based on hack'n'slash mechanics - Guardians of Ember was developed by Runewaker Entertainment, the creators of Dragon's Prophet and Runes of Magic. The player is taken to a fantasy land which is being torn apart by the chaos of war. The players join the titular brotherhood, which seems to be the last hope the land of Olyndale has. The adventure begins once the player has created their character - one's in-game avatar represents one of the four races available, as well as two specialties chosen from six available in total. As a result, unusual combinations of character classes can be created in this game. The player develops their character gradually thanks to the in-game system, but also gathers and crafts new weapons and armors. The game world consists of 58 different locations and 60 randomly generated dungeons. Exploration combined with fighting the enemies encountered (including powerful bosses) constitutes the pillar of the gameplay. Furthermore, the game brings hundreds of story-based quests and side missions. The players complete the quests together, but they can also compete against one another in PvP battles. Interestingly, the player can be an owner of a house here (a base of operations that can be decorated to one's liking).
