In GALAK-Z, we assume the role of a space fighter pilot who has to face enemies armed to the teeth and hostile environmental conditions. Although the general gameplay premise isn’t really different from the genre’s standards, the developers introduced several innovations. The first is the control model based on two analog sticks that we use to move and shoot, while special attacks are assigned to gamepad buttons.

The game was developed by two brothers from the independent studio IN|Framez and is their first big production. We play as a spaceship pilot who travels through subspace tunnels. Our ship, which constantly moves forward, is presented from a third-person perspective. Controls are limited to steering right or left as we face numerous enemies.
