The rivaling sides are playing with cards that trigger events beneficial for one, either, or neither side of the conflict.

Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus is a tactical battle game with a turn-based combat system, in which the players engage in battles while controlling giant mechs from the Warhammer 40K Universe. The game offers a wide variety of machines and weaponry. The players can enjoy a single-player campaign, separate battles against the in-game AI and the multiplayer mode.
