Resident Evil VII: Biohazard (PS4)

Seventh major installment in the cult series of survival horrors created by Capcom and launched in year 1996 on the PlayStation console. Subsequent parts of this long-standing series concentrate on a battle the humanity wages against a deadly virus which transforms those it infects into bloodthirsty monsters. The players accompany several characters who appeared in various installments of Resident Evil over the years as well as in many side installments. The game, being faithful to tradition, shows the action in third person perspective and the gameplay is based on exploration, fighting enemies and solving occasional logical puzzles. The game has a horror atmosphere which, across subsequent installments in the series, was gradually reduced in favor of action elements. Resident Evil 7 combines the best aspects of the old and new installments and is the first main Resident Evil game created for the eight generation consoles.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS4)

A spin-off to the well-received horror game Until Dawn. This installment is a typical rail shooter developed with PlayStation VR goggles in mind. During the game player assumes the role of a passenger of an automatically moving cart. One uses the cart to travel through various locations filled with different opponents. As per genre's tradition, the player is tasked with quick and effective elimination of everything that moves. In addition to enemies, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is also filled with typical jump-scares that resemble the ones used in amusement parks. The VR goggles improve the immersion of the game – thanks to them the players can feel as if they were personally participating in the events shown on the screen.

A spectacular FPS created exclusively for VR by Skydance Interactive. The story takes place at a relatively not distant time in the future on a world destroyed by natural disasters and ruled with an iron fist by megacorporations. During the game, a player assumes the role of a six-story war machine pilot, who works for the United States Free Forces resistance. He is tasked with a mission to fight a privately owned conglomerate - HUMNX. Players get to observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay builds on battles with hordes of opponents that attack from every direction possible. On the battlefield, one can use the futuristic firearms his mech is equipped with, however, in desperate situations, one can strike powerful blows with mech’s gigantic fists. During the combat, the AI-controlled allies make for a helpful company. As the game’s story progresses, one acquires experience points, which allow a player to upgrade his machine and boost its military potential.
Gang Beasts (PS4)
A multiplayer-focused joke arcade game created by Boneloaf, an indie studio from the Great Britain. More precisely, this is an unusual brawler, in which character physics plays a key role. You control colorful little men whose animations are procedurally generated as you play. The gameplay focuses on melee combat, including punching, kicking, throwing your opponents off ledges or pushing them into traps. The game offers several diverse locations, where you can hurt enemies using elements of environment, such as scaffolds, or running trucks, to add to the base moveset. The game’s visuals are minimalistic – the environments comprise of simple, untextured geometric shapes featuring little to no detail. The game offers several modes of local and online competitive multiplayer (solo or in a team). You can also compete against AI or play in the sandbox mode.

Spider-Man: Homecoming VR is an arcade action game developed by Sony Picutres Virtual Reality as a part of the promotional campaign for the Spider-Man: Homecoming film. We play as the titular super hero. Our job is to test the new suit and new web blasters that were given to us by Stark Industries. The fact that Vulture breaths down our back only complicates things. In the end we will be forced to face him. The game is made of a series of challenges that test our aim, reflexes, and observation. We will be using all kinds of spider web while doing them. We use it to shoot at static and moving objects, move and throw environmental objects, and travel around the roofs of New York’s skyscrapers. We observe the action from a first-person perspective. Spider-Man: Homecoming VR is a virtual reality game that requires VR goggles to be playable and is free-to-play.
CastleStorm VR (PS4)

A tower-defense strategy game with arcade elements developed exclusively for PlayStation VR. A player assumes the role of the steward protecting a stronghold domiciled by either Vikings or Knights. The main objective is to keep the stronghold safe and eliminate the enemy forces, or to besiege the enemy to either take or destroy his castle. The main weapon that one gets at his disposal is the ballistae placed on a high tower, which can be loaded with various kinds of ammunition – apart from standard arrows, there are apples, flails, grenades, guided eagles, and flying sheep. One can lead to battle diverse units that vary in terms of their speed, strength, and special abilities. Both the type and the strength of the available army depends on the castle’s level of development. Each map delivers several primary and optional objectives that provide a player with additional rewards. CastleStorm VR delivers a multiplayer experience comprising both competitive and cooperative modes – the latter one allows up to two players to fight off endless attack waves, for as long as possible.

The game was developed by the German team at Crytek (famous for the best-selling Crysis series) and designed to support virtual reality technology. The story is set on an unknown distant planet combining tropical flora with prehistoric fauna embodied by powerful dinosaurs. The surface of the planet is littered with remnants of technologically advanced but now extinct civilization. The player takes control of a small boy, the sole survivor of a spaceship crash. He has to explore the mysterious land through his adventures and interactions with the environment. The game stands out with the latest generation of CryEngine ensuring high-quality visuals that put this game ahead of the majority of games supporting VR goggles.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)
An arcade flight simulator and continuation of the popular series published by Bandai Namco. Like its predecessors, Ace Combat 7 is set in alternative timeline, in which there are different countries, and humans have constructed unique flying units. Game focuses on the story, which we learn both through events during missions and many cutscenes. The gameplay is mostly arcade, with only a few simulation’s features. Due to that, realism has to move over and make space for dynamic and eye-catching sky fights, including battles with powerful bosses. Each available plane flies slightly differently, resulting in a more varied experience. Ace Combat 7 offers a story campaign for one player and multiplayer mode. Developers made use of Unreal Engine 4 and also added support of PlayStation VR goggles.

A unique real time strategy game from Uber Entertainment studio, developed for virtual reality sets. Dino Frontier takes place in alternate Wild West settings, filled not only with cowboys, bandits, sheriffs and locals, but also titular dinosaurs. Players act as the so-called “Great Mayor” managing a village. Gameplay focuses on gathering resources and progressive development of our town with public and industrial buildings, with the proper assignment of tasks playing a crucial role. In the beginning the dinosaurs are a major threat to our settlers, but later we can tame them to get powerful, but risky allies. Dino Frontier offers good looking comic book-like visuals.

An first-person shooter game by American Studio Impulse Gear. The game requires the PlayStation VR headgear and utilizes the PlayStation Move motion controllers, as well as a simplified rifle called PlayStation VR Aim Controller. The game is set in the far future, in which interplanetary flights are a part of daily life. The ship carrying the protagonist crashes on an alien world. It quickly turns out that the planet is inhabited by hostile creatures resembling giant insects. The protagonist has to fight for survival. Farpoint focuses on exploring your surroundings and fighting the encountered enemies. You use the rifle not only to eliminate your foes, but also to scan the nearby areas. Compared to other FPS games, the gameplay is quite slow. The game features high-quality 3D visuals.
SUPERHOT VR (PS4)

A special edition of the unusual Polish game, SUPERHOT, developed specifically for virtual reality devices and dedicated movement controllers. The game’s most prominent feature (same as in the original) is the fact that in SUPERHOT VR, time flows only when the player moves. Contrary to the original, however, the player cannot move freely around the environment; instead, they are teleported to another section of the level after clearing the current section of all enemies. Mechanically, the game is focused entirely on swift dispatching of enemies, which are done in with just one shot or hit. In order for the game not to be too easy, the protagonist has virtually no health points – they key to success in to plan every move and skillfully utilize every available resource. The player can resort to bare fists, firearms, shurikens and other items (such as frying pans, which can be used as shields).
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR (PS4)

A special version of the fifth installment in the popular RPG series by Bethesda, created for VR headgear and motion controllers. The plot of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR does not differ from that in the original version of the game. The story takes place in a fantasy world, which is threatened by dragons, led by Alduin. You play as the last Dovahkiin, a being that can speak dragon language, which makes them the only one capable of stopping the oncoming apocalypse. In terms of technical aspect, the game is based on the Special Edition of the production and, compared to the original, features e.g. improved lighting, higher resolution textures, and previously unavailable visual effects. What changed most is the combat system: you aim by moving your head and attack by using motion controllers, transferring your moves onto your character.

Here They Lie is a dark, psychedelic experience that takes the player to a terrifying and slightly surrealistic world filled with various dangers. In contrast to other classic survival horrors, the game focuses on dark atmosphere and on fueling player's fear. During the game, the mind of the protagonist is filled with scary visions and many unusual characters stand on his way. The use of VR goggles serves to increases the immersion; the player feels as if he actually participates in the events presented in the game.
Bravo Team (PS4)

A first-person shooter developed by Supermassive Games. The title was created for the PlayStation VR set. The plot of Bravo Team takes place in a fictional Eastern Europe country. The player assumes the role of a member of the titular military squad and is tasked with escorting the president. When the situation becomes dire and a coup starts, the protagonist and his companion are tasked with saving the country. The action is presented by using a first-person perspective and the gameplay focuses on battles against numerous enemies in a vivid, urban areas. During the battles the player uses mostly a machine gun and hides behind covers. The title features a simple tactical aspect: the player must coordinate his actions with his companion and, for example, use suppressive fire to cover his friend.
Don't Knock Twice (PS4)

A horror game developed by the independent studio Wales Interactive, which was inspired by an urban legend of a demonic witch. The protagonist, searching for her lost daughter, is led to a grim mansion that hides a dark secret. In Don’t Knock Twice, the action is presented from the first-person perspective, while the gameplay is focused on exploration of the vast house in search of carefully hidden hints as well as fighting encountered opponents with the use of various items. In case of powerful enemies, the protagonist has to flee, and with caution, in order not to be attacked by surprise — the game is full of so-called jump scares. The production is characterized by high-quality three-dimensional graphics and an atmospheric soundtrack. Moreover, the title supports VR headsets but doesn’t require them in order to work.

A first-person perspective action-adventure game stylized as a survival horror. Allison Road had a somewhat complicated development cycle, with previous developers (Lilith) abandoning the project. However, a new studio, Far From Home, decided to pick-up the project and lead it to a stable release. The player assumes the role of an unidentified hero, who wakes up one night in a suburban home without having any recollection of the events of the last few days. Our protagonist, attempting to return to his family and discover what has happened, learns that the mansion has a grim backstory, while its walls are inhabited by dangerous, supernatural beings, including a ghost named Lilly. Our task is to avoid the monsters and survive five full nights in the grim house to explore it thoroughly and reveal its secrets. As our hero doesn’t have any weapons on him, Allison Road forces the player to use the environment around him to hide and lay traps.

A spaceflight simulator game developed mainly for virtual reality headsets by Ubisoft Red Storm, best known for many action games based on Tom Clancy's works. Star Trek: Bridge Crew is set in the cinematic universe based on the popular science-fiction TV series. During the game, you explore a previously unknown region of the galaxy, known as the Trench, in search for a new home for the Vulcan race. The gameplay was designed with a co-op mode for four players in mind, and each player becomes a different crew member of the ship. The positions to choose from are: Captain, Helmsman, Engineer, and Tactical Officer. Each of them has unique duties, which you perform by using the ship's equipment in the virtual world. Star Trek: Bridge Crew features attractive 3D visuals, stylized to resemble the game's movie predecessor.

An FPP survival horror that employs anime-style visuals. The game was developed by studio ROIGAMES and is a remake of 2001's White Day. The main protagonist of the game is a young boy who invited his girlfriend to his school during the night. He wanted to make a surprise for her because of the White Day (a Korean version of Valentine’s day). However, weird and terrifying things start happening in the building and getting out quickly proves to be difficult. The main task of the player during the game is to explore locations and solve mysteries and riddles. The main objective of the game is to survive, but since the main character is just a common schoolboy, he should rather avoid dangers than to face them. In case of being detected, the player should escape. White Day: A Labyrinth Named School has non-linear plot and during the game player must make various choices that will lead to one of seven possible endings.

Multiplayer-focused space simulator set in a fictional universe created by Crowd Control Productions (CCP Games) for their MMO title, EVE Online. This game is set in the distant future, long after humans living in the New Eden solar system get separated from the rest of the universe because of the collapse of a wormhole leading back to the Milky Way. Isolated from their kinsmen, in time they split up into five opposing factions competing for resources and space for expansion. The game puts you in the cockpit of one of the fighters known from EVE Online and participate in space skirmishes. The gameplay was designed to reward skill of individual players, not the statistics of their characters. What is more, EVE: Valkyrie supports virtual reality headsets for an even more immersive experience.
EVEREST VR (PS4)

A simulation game designed for virtual reality sets, taking us to Himalayas where we conquer the summit of the highest mountain in the world. Production was developed by Icelandic Sólfar Studios collaborating with RVX team, responsible for special effects in the Baltasar Kormáruk movie, Everest. Project was supported financially by many Scandinavian institutions. EVEREST VR lets us experience the beauty of the journey while traveling through five iconic scenes: preparing our expedition at the basecamp, traversing the dangerous Khumbu Icefalls, spending the night in a transition camp, ascending the nearly vertical Hilary Step to finally reach the summit of Everest. Producers took special care to achieve a proper balance between pure simulation and enjoyable experience, making it attractive for a large group of recipients. Visuals were created by using dual imaging photogrammetry and the stunning photos taken while directing the Everest movie.
A psychological horror game and the debut work from SadSquare - an independent studio. The story is non-linear and focuses on a gloomy household that has seen many frightening events throughout the years - it has a history of driving entire families insane, leading to numerous killings and suicides. The protagonist is trapped inside the house, and apart from getting out of there, their goal is to solve the mystery behind the place. The players explore the in-game environment, solve puzzles requiring them to manipulate various objects, and search for clues related to the dark past of the haunted estate. Avoiding contact with ghosts dwelling in the estate is a significant element of gameplay, as the protagonist is incapable of fighting them. Visage utilizes the Unreal Engine 4, which is at the source of the game's high-quality visuals. Furthermore, the game supports VR goggles, though one does not require them in order to play it.

A detective adventure game with arcade elements, created with PlayStation 4 and virtual reality sets in mind. The title is a spin-off of a popular series of action games created by Rocksteady. The action of Batman: Arkham VR takes place in a famous DC comic book universe, with the players assuming the role of the titular superhero, who takes it upon himself to solve the case of mysterious murders and stop the conspiracy that threatens Dark Knight’s closest allies. The whole game revolves around subsequent detective challenges, in which the players have to employ a set of handy gadgets to analyze locations in search of evidence or clues, interrogate witnesses, and form certain conclusions based on gathered information. The events are seen from a first-person perspective, while the developers made sure that the players can immerse themselves into Batman’s persona (e.g. by having the player put on the trademark costume personally).
Moto Racer 4 (PS4)

A racing game created by Artefacts Studio. It is the fourth full-fledged installment in a popular series developed by Delphine Software in the years 1997-2001. Moto Racer 4 remains faithful to the premise of the classic installments, focusing on a dynamic racing experience with arcade physics and paying no attention to the so-called fair-play. The player participates in subsequent motorcycle competitions divided into off-road and asphalt variants. In the latter, aspects such as traffic or collisions with opponents were taken into account. Within these two divisions, the player will find a wide set of characters - each represents a unique riding style. The game offers more than a few different modes and the overall number of them is quite impressive. The game includes many bike models created specifically for particular competitions: from classic cross bikes to high-power beasts belonging to the superbike category. What's more, the game features an extensive customization component - both the bikes and riders can be customized.
