The third installment in the Western action game series called Red Dead, started back in 2004 with the release of Red Dead Revolver. The success of its sequel, a third-person sandbox game set in the Wild West - Red Dead Redemption - has established the position of the franchise in the video games industry. The game has been developed by Rockstar Games.

9.2 Game Score

The fifth major installment in the massively popular action game series developed by Rockstar North in cooperation with Take Two Interactive. Grand Theft Auto V is set in a fictional city of Los Santos (based on Los Angeles). The story revolves around adventures of three characters: Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, and Franklin Clinton, men infamous for brushing up against the law.

The sequel to the third-person action game Yakuza: Kenzan, a spin-off from SEGA's popular gangster series. In contrast to the full-fledged parts of the series, the developers take the players on a journey to the past, to feudal Japan, where we learn about the roots of one of the biggest criminal organizations in the world. The authors reach back to the history of their country, focusing on the character of the real hero, Ryoma Sakamoto.

A set consisting of three remastered versions of action games under the Yakuza brand, prepared by Sega. In The Yakuza Remastered Collection we follow the fate of Kazuma Kiryu, who tries to cut off from the Japanese underworld at all costs.

The fourth major installment in the flagship action adventure series for the PlayStation 3 platform. The game developed for its successor is a reboot of sorts, introducing the series to the next-generation consoles. The game was created by the authors of the entire franchise – Naughty Dog studio. The game once again features the likeable adventurer Nathan Drake – heir to Indiana Jones and the male alternative to the legendary Lara Croft.

9.1 Game Score

An action RPG and a spiritual successor to the bestselling Dark Souls series and its predecessor, Demon's Souls. The game was developed by their creator – Hidetaka Miyazaki – and his studio From Software. The plot takes us into a dark fantasy universe presented in a style reminiscent of the nineteenth-century Victorian era. Residents of a bleak metropolis called Yharnam are afflicted by a mysterious plague which turns people into ferocious beasts.

A continuation of one of the most popular and critically-acclaimed action adventure titles created by Naughty Dog and published in 2013 on PlayStation 3. The action of The Last of Us Part II follows the events from the first installment and takes us to the near future in which a deadly epidemic led to the fall of civilization. The title features a comeback of the two well-known characters - Joel and Ellie. However, this time it is the already 19-year-old girl who is the main hero.

An action adventure game in a post-apocalyptic survival horror setting, created by the Naughty Dog developer studio (known mainly from the Uncharted series) and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The story of Last of Us takes place in the nearby future – 20 years after a mysterious plague decimated the humanity and led to the fall of civilization. Two people – smuggler Joel (controlled by player) and a teenage orphan, Ellie, try to survive in a world filled with dangers.

9.0 Game Score

Another major entry in the famous hack-and-slash action game series that is one of the most important franchises available exclusively on subsequent generations of the PlayStation consoles. In previous parts of the series, we have been following a story of Spartan warrior named Kratos, and the gameplay concentrated mainly on spectacular and incredibly bloody action and eye-catching fighting system.

8.9 Game Score

An episodic adventure game created by the developers of Remember Me, a French studio DONTNOD. The game bears a resemblance to Telltale Games titles. Its protagonist is a 12th grade student named Max Caulfield, who returns to her home town in Oregon after years of absence. Together with her old friend she tries to solve the mysterious disappearance of her schoolmate, which prompts a series of strange events.

8.9 Game Score

An action adventure game with stealth elements, developed by the independent Danish studio Ultra Ultra. The player assumes the role of a white-haired girl, En, who spent several decades hibernated aboard a spaceship. The task that awaits her after her awakening from cryogenic sleep is to investigate the mysterious complex called the Palace and restore to life the equally mysterious race of its creators with the use of advanced technology.

8.9 Game Score

The first story expansion for Uncharted 4: The Thief’s End. The add-on, also created by Naughty Dog, is a stand-alone title. For the first time in the history of the series, we control a different character – Chloe Frazer. The story begins some time after the events of Uncharted 4, and sees the heroine appear in India, where she attempts to find an ancient artifact, supported by Nadine Ross - a local mercenary. Gameplay wise, the game reuses the mechanics seen in The Thief’s End.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is an expanded remake of the second entry in the Yakuza series. The game was developed by Sega and enables the player to assume the role of Kazuma Kiryu. The developers left the story from the original version and used a modern engine and improved mechanics.

The fifth entry in a popular jRPG series and a part of the Shin Megami Tensei series, started in 1987. As always, the developing studio is Atlus, which created the series. The plot of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 5 revolves around the theme of seven cardinal sins and puts us in the role of an ordinary high school student, who discovers supernatural powers in himself.

8.8 Game Score

Another installment in the popular action game series, known as the Japan’s take on the Grand Theft Auto series. This time, the developers from SEGA created a prequel of the whole series, taking place in 1988, seven years before the events seen in the first installment. The plot of Yakuza 0 focuses on young Kazuma Kiryu, the series' protagonist, as he began his journey to become a legend in the Japanese underworld.

A remastered edition of the adventure game developed by Quantic Dream, which debuted in 2005 on computers and sixth generation consoles. The story of the game takes place in the New York City in year 2009. The city is mortified by a series of brutal murders committed by otherwise lawful citizens for no apparent reasons. The player assumes the role of Kane, a man who, haunted by strange visions, kills a person he was completely unfamiliar with.

A thoroughly remastered version of the second entry in the popular platformer series from Naughty Dog, which originally debuted in 1997 on the first PlayStation console. Crash Bandicoot 2 HD from Vicarious Visions takes us again to the fictional Wumpa archipelago near Australia’s coast.

A complex remake of the first installment in the Yakuza series. The original title debuted on PlayStation 2 in 2005. The game takes place in 1995, eight years after the events shown in Yakuza 0. Kazuma Kiryu, the main protagonist, is a high ranked member of the criminal clan Tojo. He takes the blame for the murder of the patriarch of Dojima family, who was responsible for kidnapping his friend Yumi. After ten years the protagonist is released from prison.

8.8 Game Score

A remastered version of Yakuza 4; in addition to Kazumy Kiryu, known from the earlier parts of the series, players play here as three other heroes, whose fates are interwoven with each other. In Yakuza 4 Remastered we have to take part in a gang war, the winners of which will take control over the whole criminal underworld of Kamurocho in Tokyo.

8.8 Game Score

A remastered version of Yakuza 5, i.e. the production that was the biggest part of this popular cycle at the time of its release. While playing in Yakuza 5 Remastered, we play as five heroes, hitting the middle of the war between the Tojo clan and the Omi alliance. In addition to the fictional Kamurocho, the title is available to us in four other districts located in Osaka, Fukuoce, Sapporo and Nagoya.

A complete remake of the third installment in the popular series of platform games developed by Naughty Dog. The original version debuted in 1998 on PlayStation. The remake is developed by Vicarious Visions. Crash Bandicoot 3 HD takes place just after the events that occurred in the previous entry in the series. Cortex’s space station crashes on Earth. This causes the evil deity Uka Uka to break free from his confinement.

8.7 Game Score

An action sandbox game developed by Sucker Punch, the creators of the InFamous series. The player is taken to the titular island of Tshishima, where as a samurai he or she fights the Mongol invaders in order to avenge the death of family and close ones. A direct confrontation isn’t always the best course of action. To effectively eliminate opponents, the protagonist must learn to work in the shadows.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is the third part of a cRPG series, which started in 2009 with the debut of Dragon Age: Origins. Once again BioWare took on the development of the production in cooperation with Electronic Arts. The game is set in a fantasy world of Thedas, and the main theme of the plot is a demon invasion.

The fourth major installment in a bestselling TPP action-adventure game series. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal in cooperation with other Ubisoft’s inner studios. The main story in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is set in 18th century. You meet a pirate captain Edward Kenway (the grandfather of Connor Kenway from Assassin's Creed III), who gets entangled in the age-long conflict between The Brotherhood of Assassins and the Order of Templars.
