The player explores subsequent locations and eliminates hordes of different enemies with many different weapons; also, the game features powerful bosses. Particular levels are generated procedurally and are set in one of several fully destructible environments, such as sandy beaches, a jungle in Central America, gloomy graveyards or a futuristic city. Although Tango Fiesta can be played solo, the game emphasizes the co-op experience for up to 4 players. The old-school graphics bring the arcade classics from the 1980s to mind, just as the creators as desired, save for the ever-present pixels. Nonetheless, both the in-game locations and character models are very simple.
