The other one, Laylee, is a bat who can use sonic attacks. Laylee can also carry Yooka and fly with her friend for a short distance. During our adventures, we explore vast, three-dimensional locations. We need to use our protagonists unique abilities to travel around them. This title is Warner Bros'. response to the growing popularity of franchises like Skylanders or Disney Infinity. This is the first game in the series that uses real LEGO minifigures, which are transferred into virtual word through a special port. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, the game is not much different from other titles in the series, still being a third-person action-adventure game. You play as various LEGO characters who have to stop evil Lord Vortech from annihilating humanity. The game is available for purchase in several editions devoted to different franchises. Starter pack includes figurines of Gandalf, Wyldstyle, Batman, and Batmobile. Snake Pass (XONE)
Arcade 28 March 2017
An action platform game with logical puzzles. It was developed by British studio Sumo Digital. The title is based on a prototype created by Seba Liese during a Game Jam. Snake pass tells a story about the adventures of a snake and his friend, a hummingbird. Together they must find keys to the magical gates that provide magical power to the Harmony Foothills. They are doing it in order to defeat a mysterious intruder who threatens the lives of the inhabitants of the realm. The game takes place in a three-dimensional environment and the player takes control of the aforementioned snake. The protagonist’s movement was recreated in a pretty realistic way. It means that, for example, he cannot jump, but instead he crawls along the ground, wraps around objects and swims. All of these actions must be used in order to defeat various obstacles and to find well hidden collectibles. In some situations the friendly hummingbird helps the snake by catching him by his tail and transporting to seemingly unavailable places.
Sonic Forces (XONE)
Another installment in the popular platform game series by SEGA. The game was developed by Sonic Team, the creators of Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors. Once again, you play as the eponymous super-fast hedgehog, and your task is to lead the resistance and face the evil Doctor Eggman and his army of giant robots. Sonic Forces utilizes the third person perspective. Like in the previous games of the franchise, you traverse the maps full of obstacles and enemies, and collect golden rings. The biggest attraction of the game is undoubtedly the most characteristic feature of the brand - the speed. The protagonist moves so fast that sometimes you may not be able to discern what is happening on screen. The game also features an option to summon alternative versions of Sonic and to control several of them at once — it is the only way to deal with challenges, which are too much for just one Sonic.
The Watchmaker (XONE)
Adventure 30 June 2017
A steampunk action-adventure game with logic features. The title was developed by the independent studio Micropsia Games from Chile. The Watchmaker takes place inside a giant clock tower, and during the game the player assumes the role of a guard named Alexander. One day, a sabotage takes place in the tower, disrupting the flow of time and causing the protagonist to grow old extremely fast. In order to avoid death before his time, he must travel through subsequent sections of the tower to find and defeat the person responsible for the sabotage. He must also restore the proper flow of time. The game combines features of an adventure game, a 3D platform game and a logic game. The main focus was placed on solving various environmental riddles, but the game also contains typical action sequences and boss fights, during which the protagonist uses a variety of useful gadgets. The fact that the protagonist is getting older was used as a creative replacement for the classic health bar.
