Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 (XONE)

The third installment in a popular first person shooter developed by Polish developer CI Games. Unlike the previous games in the series, most of the development process was done by a second party studio, comprised of creators of game franchises like Sniper Elite, Full Spectrum Warrior, and Killzone. The game features a growing conflict between Russia and the United States. The player takes on a role of a former US Marine sniper sent to Georgia in order to eliminate key targets and prevent the conflict from becoming an open war. In contrast to the previous Sniper Elite games, this one offers the player much more freedom. In combat you can use not only accurately recreated sniper rifles and modern drones, but also impromptu weapons and traps. The title awards stealth eliminations and features very realistic bullet physics.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (XONE)

An action RPG and the third chapter of the adventures of a morally unambiguous monster slayer, Geralt of Rivia. As were the parts of the cycle, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s literary works, while not being a direct adaptation of any of his books. The story picks up after the events of the previous game and focuses on several plotlines, including Geralt’s lost love, invasion of the Nilfgaard Empire on the Northern Kingdoms, as well as the eponymous, spectral hunt. The gameplay is characterized by a sandbox style, giving players much freedom in exploring the vast world (an area more than 40 times bigger than in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings) and completing hundreds of side quests. The developers from CD Projekt RED introduced many new features, including a new REDengine3 that offers excellent audiovisual quality.
Inner Chains (XONE)
The debut production from Telepath's Tree, a Polish studio consisting of the former members of CD Projekt RED, People Can Fly, and Flying Wild Hog. The game is a horror first-person shooter that takes the player to a dark world combining biology and mechanics, where terrifying monsters pose a constant threat. The gameplay combines classic shooter mechanics with those of a surrealistic horror. Dealing with enemies requires the player to use bith conventional weapons and the environment. The action takes place in an semi-open environment that offers the player several alternative ways to reach the objective. When it comes to visuals, the game makes the most of the Unreal Engine 4, featuring an interesting art style, inspired by the works of a Polish artist - Tomasz Strzalkowski. It is a tasteful game world with dark locations that evoke a constant feeling of anxiety and uneasiness.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game (XONE)

A stand-alone version of collective card game (CCG) that debuted in the bestselling RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, by CD Project RED, and quickly became acknowledged as one of the best minigames in history. In Gwent: The Witcher Card Game players compete against each other with progressively collected decks of cards from five different factions. As in most CCG, the gameplay is turn-based, but quite unusually, the player’s objective is to gather more attack points than opponent. Cards are placed in three different rows, respectively for melee soldier, ranged units and siege machines like catapults. Our army’s strength can be both increased and decreased with special cards, unique skills of commanders or weather effects. Aside from complex multiplayer mode, the game also offers an episodic story campaign.

An FPS created by Polish developer The Farm 51, mainly known for the NecrovisioN franchise and the latest installment in the Painkiller series. The game tells a story of a man whose profession involves tying up loose ends for governments and influential persons. The protagonist’s situation complicates when one of his potential victims decides to fight back. The story is presented from the twin perspectives of the two rivaling characters. As you play, you learn the story through exploration and interaction with the environment. Get Even stands out with its innovative graphics based on 3D scans of real-life locations, making it almost literally photorealistic. Additionally, the game features an interesting combination of single and multiplayer gameplay – at any moment another player can join the fight taking the role of characters normally controlled by AI.
Shadow Warrior 2 (XONE)

A sequel to a first-person action game, which in turn was a remake of a popular FPS from 1997. Polish developer Flying Wild Hog comes back with a continuation set five years after the events of the first game. In Shadow Warrior 2 you play as Lo Wang, who now leads a lonely life of a mercenary working for the local Yakuza. Gameplay mechanics did not change much, so the protagonist takes down on his enemies using a wide arsenal of firearms and melee weapons. The sequel retains the progression system featured in the first game as well as weapon customization. What is new, is the four-people co-op mode, in which a group of players fights off enemies while trying to complete mission objectives. In both single player campaign and co-op mode the locations are procedurally generated, which makes each playthrough unique.

The second expansion to action-RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt created by CD Projekt RED. This time we accompany Geralt during his stay in Touissant – one of few countries in The Witcher’s universe still untouched by war. However, under the veil of carefree idyll the city hides a dark, bloody secret. Investigating the mystery is another task for the White Wolf. Just like in the first expansion, new content does not end with new missions. The add-on also features new items, characters, and monsters. According to the developers’ estimate, Blood and Wine offers over 20 hours of gameplay.

An first-person perspective survival horror game, created by the Polish developer Techland, known for Dead Island and the Call of Juarez series, among others. The player assumes the role of a character who is trying to survive in a zombie-infested metropolis. The sandbox gameplay of Dying Light is divided into two phases. During the day, the game puts main focus on exploration and acquisition of raw materials and weapons, while at night players must face hordes of the living dead. The creators wanted to put the accent on two gameplay elements: thrilling combat with a variety of weapons (including crafted ones), and dynamic movement throughout the city, enabling the players to overcome terrain obstacles using parkour. In addition to a single-player campaign, Dying Light also offers a four-person cooperation mode via the Internet.

RPG action game set in a fantasy universe. Lords of the Fallen is a collective work of Deck 13 and CI Games. The story invites you into a world where the mankind once rebelled against the tyranny of a cruel god and managed to bind him to mountain range. Thousands years later the evil grows in strength again, and the only one able to stop it is a hero who is not clean of vice himself. The character controlled by the player represents one of three classes, following a path of weapon or magic. As befits an action RPG, Lords of the Fallen focuses around spectacular combat against diverse opponents. The game is powered by the Fledge Engine.

The first large expansion to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, developed by the creators of the original game, Polish studio CD Projekt RED. The add-on is set in No Man’s Land and the city of Oxenfurt, where Geralt the witcher gets entangled in a shadowy intrigue and encounters a mysterious Man of Glass. Hearts of Stone is more than a new subplot and missions, which provide for a dozen extra hours of gameplay - the players can also gain new useful items and meet interesting characters. Furthermore, the bestiary was expanded by a several previously unseen monsters.
Dying Light: The Following (XONE)

The first official expansion to a survival action game made by Polish studio Techland in 2015. The add-on is set after the events presented in the base game, and take you to the suburbs of Harran city. Playing as Kyle Crane, a character known from the original, you have to infiltrate a camp of a cult, whose members are immune to zombie bites and can use the monsters to their own means. Driven by the goal of finally getting rid of the plague, the protagonist has to undertake a series of missions to gain the trust of the locals and learn their secrets. Gameplay mechanics remain unchanged, although the add-on is set in a notably vast location (bigger than all maps from the base game combined), across which you can move around in a dune buggy. The creators also decided to give players more freedom when it comes to story-related missions.

A first person psychological horror adventure game inspired of 19th-century paintings and architecture. It was created by Polish developer Bloober Team, known for such titles as BRAWL, A-Men and Music Master: Chopin. The game is set in an ominous manor, while you assume the role of an insane painter striving to finish his masterpiece at all cost. Gameplay boils down to exploration, as the player searches for the source of the hero’s madness and the tools needed to complete the painting. While playing, you experience strange visions and fears born in the protagonist’s mind, making the task much more complicated. The game is soaked with dark, psychedelic atmosphere, which is further deepened by fitting audiovisuals.

An action game shown from a first-person perspective. The game is a remake of hit game that was released in 1997. The title was developed by studio Flying Wild Hog in cooperation with publisher Devolver Digital. The protagonist of Shadow Warrior is a martial arts master Lo Wang who searches for a legendary blade Nobitsura Kage for the Zilla Enterprises corporation. Hordes of demons that managed to get into the human world are trying to stop him. The gameplay combines traits of first-person shooters and slasher games. The protagonist is equally skillful in using various gunfire and ninja weapons (katanas, shurikens and other). The game allows great freedom in developing the character and modifying his equipment.
This War of Mine: The Little Ones (XONE)

An extended edition of This War of Mine, a unique survival game developed 11bit Studios - the creators of the original - with the 8th generation consoles in mind by. The game inverts the premises of a typical war game, as we do not assume the role of heroic soldiers. Instead, we control a group of civilians surprised by the outbreak of war and trying to survive in a besieged city. The gameplay mechanics remain unchanged, focusing on survival and morally difficult decision-making. As the title suggests, the biggest novelty of the expanded edition is the introduction of playable children, who play an incredibly important role in the on-screen events. Initially, the youngest survivors will, for example, build toys or decorate environments, but with time, thanks to their adult guardians, they shall learn many useful skills that can prove invaluable during subsequent missions.
Iron Harvest (XONE)
An original strategy game with RPG elements, taking place in a unique dieselpunk universe of 1920+, created by a Polish concept artist Jakub Ró¿añski. The game portrays an alternative history of Europe at the turn of the 19th century, in which humanity used their knowledge and means to build powerful walking machines, used not only in battle but also e.g. in agriculture. Thus the gameplay features not only the cavalry, airplanes and prototype tanks, but also rather primitive and awkward mechs, seemingly not of this age. At the same time, the game is firmly grounded in Polish history and references important events such as the Battle of Warsaw.
Two Worlds III (XONE)
The third major installment in the third-person action RPG series started in 2007. The game is being developed by Polish studio Reality Pump which, after releasing the unsuccessful RPG Raven’s Cry and allegedly having gone bankrupt, was taken under the wings of a German company TopWare Interactive. The action of Two Worlds III once again takes us to Antaloor, the world known from the previous parts of the game. You assume the role of a hero whose actions will shape the fate of the whole universe. Mechanics combine classic RPG elements – rich, multi-branch storylines with loads of main and side quests, and an extensive character progression system – with dynamic arcade combat, during which you can use a wide range of weapons, armors, and magic.
Lords of the Fallen 2 (XONE)
A sequel to the successful action RPG created by CI Games - a Polish team behind the development of such franchises as Sniper Ghost Warrior or Art of Murder. Tomasz Gop took part in production of the game as well. He is an experienced gamemaker who had previously worked in CD Projekt RED as a senior producer of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The Lords of the Fallen series is set in a dark fantasy world, where humanity is forced to face the armies of a fallen god. A group of warriors who have a lot to answer for themselves is sent first to the fight against the tyrant. The player assumed the role of one such fighter in the first installment. Contrary to its predecessor, Lords of the Fallen 2 offers a more extensive plot that aims to spark the interest of a wider group of players. In terms of the mechanics, the sequel is still an action RPG focusing on exploration and arcade combat. Combat itself was additionally extended however, in order to make it feel deeper. As a role-playing game, Lords of the Fallen 2 allows us to choose a specialty and develop the protagonist in our preferred direction.
A first-person perspective adventure game that combines elements of spy movies and horror. It is the first large game developed by the Polish studio Jujubee known mostly for its futuristic racing series Flashout. The story of the game focuses on the mysterious disaster of the Russian submarine K-141 Kursk which sank during the summer of 2000 on the Barents Sea. It was never determined what caused the incident. The player’s objective in the game is to discover what actually happened on the submarine and caused the death of more than one hundred members of the crew. The gameplay mechanics are similar to Alien: Isolation and the game focuses mostly on storytelling. The game has many spy plots and horror elements. The mysterious history of the Kursk submarine and suggestive tone of the production makes it very atmospheric.

SUPERHOT is an unusual FPS developed by Blue Brick studio. Finished in just 7 days, the first version of the game was presented during the 7 Day FPS Challenge in 2013. Gameplay of SUPERHOT consists of eliminating subsequent opponents in sterile rooms and corridors, where time stands still as long as the player doesn't move. The game focuses not on the shooting itself, but rather on achieving the mastery of time control which allows you to dodge bullets while accurately aiming at the heads of your enemies. You start the game with no weapons, but you can find them on enemies’ corpses. Ammunition is limited and even a single shot can kill your avatar, forcing you to restart the game. SUPERHOT features a minimalistic visual style with a palette of colors basically limited to white, dominating the environment, contrasting with red opponents and marks left by the bullets.
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition (XONE)

A remastered version of People Can Fly’s first-person shooter that initially came out in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition offers, first and foremost, enhanced graphics, while the gameplay core remained unchanged. The action takes place in a distant future, and the player assumes the role of a former special forces operative of the charismatic general Sarrano, now wanted as the public enemy number one. At the core of the gameplay lies dynamic combat in which we not only shoot enemies with various fancy guns but also lash them with an electric whip and finish them off in many other creative ways. Spectacular kills, so-called skillshots, are awarded with points that can be spent for customizing weapons. Apart from the single player story campaign, the game features a cooperation multiplayer mode. What’s interesting, Duke Nukem, one of the biggest ruffians in the industry’s history, makes a guest appearance in Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition.
The Works of Mercy (XONE)
A first-person perspective adventure game exploiting the psychological thriller genre. The plot in The Works of Mercy draws inspiration from such films as The Tenant by Roman Polanski and Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. The title was developed by Polish studio Pentacle, whose team members have worked on titles such as The Witcher or Call of Juarez. The player is in control of a man whose family got kidnapped by a psychopath. To save their lives, the hero has to murder several people of maniac's choosing. Whether he likes it or not, the protagonist must obey the psychopath, who constantly watches the protagonist through candid cameras. At the same time, the hero tries to find out who the oppressor is and what is his goal. Gameplay in The Works of Mercy resembles productions like Gone Home and P.T. (the playable teaser of the cancelled Silent Hills). The core of the game consists of exploration, solving puzzles, talking with the psychopath, and fulfilling his wishes. The gloomy atmosphere is accompanied by surreal visions experienced by the hero. The Works of Mercy offers graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4 and supports VR headsets.
Return 2 Games: Book of Demons (XONE)
An action game with RPG and CCG elements set in a fantasy world, developed by Thing Trunk, an independent Polish studio. Return 2 Games: Book of Demons is the first production from a planned series that is intended to pay homage to the best titles of the last decade of the 20th century. The production’s plot is another variation of the fight between good and evil and a chosen one who saves the world from annihilation. It is a quite clear pastiche of the cult classic Diablo and its clones. In the game, we assume the role of a hero who belongs to one of three different classes, and our main task is to combat hordes of demons. During breaks between subsequent quests, we can go to the city, talk to non-player characters, and trade equipment. The gameplay is complemented by the possibility of acquiring and collecting cards that represent various skills of our character. The game features a curious visuals style thanks to which the game world looks as if it’s created from cut-outs.
