Simulation 25 October 2016

Farming Simulator 17 is another installment in the series of simulators of farm. This time, the game was published by Focus Home Interactive, but the development was still carried out by GIANTS Software, known from the previous parts of this series. The mechanics remain unchanged - the players become farmers, who need to take good care of their establishment. During the game, much attention has to be paid to the economic side of the management - the right equipment needs to be purchased, used for sawing, gathering crops, and moving the goods around. Traditionally, the player can control many different machines, all with official licenses from real manufacturers, and personally take care of various tasks in the field. The new installment obviously introduces some changes and novelties. Contrary to previous games, Farming Simulator 17 was released on PC, XONE and PS4 simultaneously.

Pure Farming 18: The Simulator (XONE)

Simulation 2017

An advanced farming simulator developed by Techland in cooperation with the independent studio Ice Flames. Similarly as in other games in the genre, in Pure Farming 17: The Simulator the player assumes the role of a farmer who must maintain his farm. The task requires him to perform various field activities like planting and watering seeds, gathering crops and selling them. Funds obtained in that way can be used for improving the farm and buying new vehicles and farming machines. The game offers many innovative solutions and mechanics that were previously unavailable in other games in the genre.

Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul (XONE)
Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul (XONE)

Simulation August 2017

An advanced railway simulator developed by Dovetail Games, a developer known from the popular Train Simulator series. Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul follows in the same vein, yet is treated as a separate project based on new technology. Unfortunately, this means that the title is not compatible with numerous add-ons released for the Train Simulator series. As always, the gameplay involves controlling various railway engines and traversing numerous railways found all around the world. Moreover, the players can create their own tracks thanks to the included editor. The game contains both single and multiplayer modes. Interestingly enough, the game is powered by Unreal Engine 4, an engine used in titles such as Final Fantasy VII Remake, Days Gone, or Gears of War 4. As a result, the new incarnation of the railway series received multiple fixes, as well as improved graphics and physics.

Simulation 19 May 2015

The sixth major installment in the popular farming simulation game series. The franchise makes a comeback to key gaming platforms after a year off, when only smartphone and portable editions were released. The developer, GIANTS Software, prepared another portion of innovations to enhance gameplay. The game lets you play in a new environment (Scandinavian), characterized by different landscape, weather conditions, and vast forests. This time players can cut down trees using specially designed, licensed machines. There is also a car wash, allowing you to keep your vehicles clean. Overall, the gameplay mechanics remained unchanged; as usual, your task is to manage a farm and expand it using the money earned from breeding animals and cultivating land. The sixth installment introduced the series to the eight generation consoles, bringing about significant visual improvements.

Simulation 27 May 2016

Another installment in the popular farming simulator series, also known as Agrar Simulator. The general gameplay mechanics remain the same, while the game is still divided into simulation and economic parts. In the former, we personally engage in various farming activities, such as field reclamation, animal breeding, crop production, planting trees, and harvesting, using a wide variety of agricultural machines. The money we earn is invested into development of our farm, namely: expanding its infrastructure, hiring employees, and purchasing additional equipment. The realistically modeled calendar of farming work as well as occasionally occurring random problems and obstacles play important roles in the game. In addition, the visuals were enhanced, especially since Professional Farmer 2016 is the first installment of the series to be released on consoles.

Farming Simulator 17: Big Bud DLC (XONE)

Simulation 09 May 2017

Farming Simulator 17: Big Bud DLC is an expansion to Farming Simulator 17 developed by the creators of the original game, GIANTS Software. Big Bud DLC requires the base game to be playable. This add-on introduces new agricultural machines like the two enormous tractors: Big Bud 450 and even bigger Big Bud 747. The latter one, designed in 1977, is over eight meters long, six meters wide, weights over fifty tons, and has over 900 horsepower. Unlike Big Bud 450, the 747 one is no longer used and the only 747 tractor ever built is at display at the Heartland museum. Due to their size and weight, both machines have a different 'driving feel' than the ones from the base game. In addition to these two colossal machines, Big Bud DLC introduces a couple of other tractors, spreaders, and ploughs that we can use to make our job on the farm easier.

Simulation 2017

The next installment in a simulation games series previously known as Woodcutter Simulator. The game is a result of cooperation between the German UIG Entertainment company and a renowned game publisher Namco Bandai. This is the first part of the series that was designed for both PC and console players. Professional Lumberjack 2016 allows you to become a manager of a wood cutting company. Gameplay consists of two layers: simulation and economic. The former offers a wide selection of machines for cutting, processing, and transportation of wood. The economic layer in Professional Lumberjack 2016 focuses around accepting and completing jobs, as well as subsequent investments in the development of your company and new machines, which translates to better efficiency and higher pace of work.

Farming Simulator 15: Gold (XONE)
Farming Simulator 15: Gold (XONE)

Simulation 29 October 2015

A complete edition of 2014's Farming Simulator 15, featuring the Official Expansion DLC and developed by GIANTS Software. As usual, the player's main tasks here are to sow fields, breed animals and buy gradually better equipment for money earned from selling crops and other goods. The game offers three different environments with different climatic conditions: one is a Central European location, the second was inspired by Scandinavian landscapes, and the last resembles Eastern Europe (this one was introduced in the Official Expansion DLC). What is new in Farming Simulator 15, is an opportunity to manage forests - adequate equipment was added for wood cutting, processing, and transportation. Also, the game brings new machines from real-life companies, such as New Holland, Ponsse, Zetor, Tatra, Rostselmash or Farmtech. Farming Simulator 15: Gold offers both a solo experience and a multiplayer component for up to 16 players connected either via the Internet or LAN.

ScreamRide (XONE)
ScreamRide (XONE)

Logic 03 March 2015

A unique simulation game, in which you construct increasingly wacky rollercoasters, and then test it on excitement-hungry people. The game was created by Frontier Development, known for e.g. the latest installment in the Zoo Tycoon and the Thrillville and Rollercoaster Tycoon series. Unlike the latter one, ScreamRide does not feature an economic aspect, and your actions serve science and research on the limits of human potential. The gameplay focuses on completing a series of tasks, in which the key is the fear and scream level among the people riding your rollercoaster. You can also test your tracks yourself, by steering the rollercoaster in the arcade mode. The game features fully destructible environment and advanced physics, apparent in e.g. the spectacular results of your less successful experiments.
