Action 28 August 2019

An action game with roguelike and metroidvania elements by indie French studio Motion Twin. During the game, you explore a grim castle, whose elements (such as chambers, cloisters, and sewers) are procedurally generated. Given the permadeath system, it means that each new gameplay is a fresh experience, during which you can discover new parts of the fortress. An important aspect of Dead Cells is combat, which is very difficult.

A remastered edition of one of the most well-received installments of the legendary Heroes of Might & Magic series, created for the 15th anniversary of the game's original release and the 20th anniversary of the franchise. It was commissioned by Ubisoft and developed by DotEmu, known e.g. from the remake of the cult platform game Another World.

BioShock is a combination of an action game, first person shooter, cRPG, and survival horror created by Irrational Games (developers of System Shock 2, SWAT 4, and other titles). The story takes you into the submerged city of Rapture, where the main protagonis, named Jack, arrives after having survived a plane crash. This ruined metropolis hides many dark and deadly secrets. In terms of gameplay, BioShock combines the elements of a dynamic FPS and cRPG.

Hades: Battle Out of Hell is another production of the talented Supergiant Games studio, which has given us titles such as Bastion, Transistor and Pyre. This time the creators prepared a spectacular, roguelike dungeon crawler, set in a world known from Greek mythology.

The title was developed by the Canadian team at Behavior Interactive Studio. Assassin’s Creed Rebellion is set in the 15th-century Spain, where you confront the Inquisition.

Wytchwood is an adventure game focused on gathering and crafting, set in a fairy-tale world. It was developed by indie studio Alientrap. You play as a mysterious witch living in an ancient forest.

A twin-stick shooter with RPG and roguelike elements, and a spin-off of the Risk of Rain series. Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds has us traverse the Versanto System, dispatching enemy hordes, unlocking new character classes and gathering new equipment.

During the game we play as a young soldier who swears revenge for the death of his murdered father. The gameplay combines elements of strategy, RPG and arcade. The core of the game is to expand the base and produce new types of units.

A side-scrolling action platformer with RPG elements, developed by Dean Dodrill’s one-man studio Humble Hearts adapting his own animated movie. We assume the role of a hooded character of unclear origins, armed with an ancient magical sword. He sets out on a dangerous journey together with his faithful friend, Fidget, to free his village from the rule of mysterious monsters and learn about his past. The gameplay focuses on combo-based combat.

Oceanhorn 2 is a sequel to the 2013 action RPG developed by a small Finnish studio Cornfox & Bros. The game takes place in the same fantasy realm as the series' first installment. We play as a young boy who trains very hard to become a Knight of Arcadia. We observe the game from a third-person perspective. Gameplay mechanics in Oceanhorn 2 are visibly inspired by the popular Legend of Zelda series. Oceanhorn 2 places more emphasis on exploration than the original game.

Another incarnation of a minimalistic real-time strategy with RPG elements, developed by an independent studio called noio. Like in the original Kingdom for PC Windows and mobile devices, in Kingdom: Two Crowns, the player assumes the role of a king tasked with taking care of his loyal subjects and providing for them. Unlike the original release, in Kingdom: Two Crowns the player can enjoy both single player and cooperative game modes.

Players find themselves on inhospitable planet, where live creatures like big spiders or dinosaurs. Tekken is a mobile fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is a side installment of a popular series of fighting games. It was developed exclusively for smartphones and tablets. The title is using a free-to-play distribution model with microtransactions. The gameplay mechanics consist of duels one on one, in which the players are using an action-based combat system that enables them to move through the arena and use variety of techniques.
