Darkest Dungeon (iOS)
A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. While exploring ruins of an old castle and its dungeons, you face off against forces of darkness that overwhelmed the land because of the reckless actions of its previous sovereign. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. Therefore, while playing you should keep an eye on their well being and fear levels, alleviating their stress by drinking alcohol or brawling, if needed.
Heroes of Might & Magic III: HD Edition (iOS)
Strategy 29 January 2015
A remastered edition of one of the most well-received installments of the legendary Heroes of Might & Magic series, created for the 15th anniversary of the game's original release and the 20th anniversary of the franchise. It was commissioned by Ubisoft and developed by DotEmu, known e.g. from the remake of the cult platform game Another World. The contents of the HD edition are the same as the base game (no expansions included) and consist of 7 story campaigns (about 50 maps in total), a skirmish mode and a functional editor. Compared to the original, the key changes are the upgraded wide-screen-compatible HD visuals. The graphics are now sharper and more clear-cut, which is the result of reprogramming over 25,000 elements and models. The multiplayer mode has also been upgraded, both in the local “hotseat” mode and the online one. Also, for the first time ever, a version for mobile devices was created.
FNAF World (iOS)
A spin-off entry in the popular horror series, Five Nights at Freddy’s, created by independent developer Scott Cawthon. Unlike full-scale games from the series, FNAF World hits much more joyful tones and belongs to a different genre altogether – it is an RPG game, inspired by productions like Final Fantasy, in which we side with the deadly toys featured in previous titles and help them in their fight against mechanical creatures. The gameplay focuses on exploration of the eponymous realm and turn-based battles. We can recruit all the toys from Five Nights at Freddy’s universe to our team, each of them having unique attacks and special abilities. There is also an option of activating their alternative forms to modify their behavior, strength, and abilities. The game is presented in colorful, fabulous visuals and features humorous animations.
Rome: Total War (iOS)
Strategy 10 November 2016
The third installment in the acclaimed Total War strategy game series developed by Creative Assembly. This time, the player is taken to the period during which the Roman Empire is in its prime. The player participates in historical events, such as the Spartacus slave uprising, the Punic Wars, or Julius Caesar's conquest of Gaul. The creators faithfully recreated such historical elements as different military units, machines and technologies the ancient nations depended on. As usual, the gameplay is divided into two phases. The player makes large-scope decisions in the turn-based mode featuring the world map - for example, concerning technological development, diplomacy, development of cities or army management. The battles, on the other hand, are played in real time and the player commands particular formations or individual units. Rome: Total War includes the features introduced by the previous installments, such as sieges of cities, reconnaissance or reserves. Apart from the single-player campaign, the game offers multiplayer for up to 8 competitors.
A mobile role-playing game heavily-inspired by the Pokemon series. The game is set in a fantasy land, combining modern reality with science-fiction elements. You play as a trainer, whose task is to catch the eponymous creatures, develop their abilities, and use them to battle other trainers. In Nexomon, you traverse a world divided into 10 regions, visit shops, talk to NPCs, and complete a variety of quests. Like in the Pokemon series, an important factor is catching the defeated creatures, which join your collection. The battles are turn-based, and in combat you mostly choose the right attacks against the opponents and activate various special items. Apart from the multiplayer mode, the game also features a story campaign with many side quests.
Democracy 3 (iOS)
Strategy 08 June 2014
The third installment in the complex turn-based economical strategy game series developed since 2005 by Positech Games. Democracy 3 again puts you in the role of the leader of a fictional democratic country and tasks you with making a number of decisions that will let you satisfy the many conflicting expectations of the virtual society so that you can stay in power. The gameplay features a complex socio-economical simulation system, according to which every choice you make takes its toll on your country and its society. The mechanics of the game are similar to those known from the previous installments, while the changes introduced by the developers include such aspects as the private sector's influence on the society, and the presence of real-life problems and events (e.g. climate change, financial crisis). The graphics have vastly improved, although the gameplay is still mostly based on charts, statistics, and so on.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown (iOS)
Strategy 20 June 2013
A science-fiction turn-based strategy game that came out as a reboot of the cult series, UFO: Enemy Unknown, launched back in 1994 by Microprose. This new title was created by Firaxis Games, a studio founded by Sid Meier. The story of XCOM: Enemy Unknown does not follow any of the plotlines started by its predecessors. Instead, it tells a new story of the war between humans and an aggressive alien race. In order to protect our planet from the invaders a special organization called X-COM was created, with you as its commander throughout the game. The gameplay features two main aspects. In the strategic mode you plan your next move, complete research and develop technology, as well as manufacture gear and weapons – all this in real time. When it comes to skirmishes with the aliens, combat is turn-based. Most missions are procedurally generated, which relates to greater replayability. Battles are presented in full 3D, and the game’s engine allows for full destruction of environment.
Galaxy of Pen & Paper (iOS)
RPG 27 July 2017
Galaxy of Pen & Paper is another installment of the humorous RPG series from the Behold studio. Just like the previous games, Galaxy of Pen & Paper simulates tabletop RPG sessions by reenacting the players and game master's behaviour and the events of the campaign they are playing. Unlike its predecessors, the game uses a science fiction setting. Virtual players and their characters explore the galaxy, do quests, and take part in turn-based battles. They will have to face not only small groups of enemies, but also whole squadrons of space ships. During their adventures, both the virtual players and their characters will level up, increase their stats, and gain access to new abilities. Players will also be able to modify and upgrade their space ships. Galaxy of Paper & Paper has oldschool, pixelart visuals.
A turn-based strategy set in the Victorian age, created by an independent developer, Tim Conkling. It takes us to a somewhat grotesque version of a British town, based on Charles Dickens’ descriptions, with us playing as a leader of the local thieves’ guild, whose task is to develop his organization and fill its vaults with gold. To achieve this, we must recruit new members to our gang, train them and send on missions like stick-ups, mugging, and assassinations. Infiltrating banks, factories, and other influential institutions is crucial to our success, in addition to building useful structures and researching new technologies – all of this without going broke of course. Antihero offers a huge freedom at expanding our criminal empire. Depending on our preferences, we can concentrate on more discreet activities or turn our organization into a full-fledged assassin’s guild.
The Walking Dead: No Man's Land (iOS)
Strategy 29 August 2015
A turn-based strategy game for mobile devices, based on the popular TV series by AMC Network. The Walking Dead: No Man's Land takes us to a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the living dead, while the production’s plot is strictly connected to the TV series. Gameplay-wise, it is a classic turn-based strategy game. While playing, we command a small group of humans who fight hordes of hungry zombies. Given that we are outnumbered, the key to success lies in crowd control and avoiding confrontation with overly numerous groups. Between missions, we develop and manage our base. It is necessary to construct buildings, gather resources, issue commands to other survivors, and manage what little resources we have. The Walking Dead: No Man's Land doesn’t go easy on the player — every death is permanent and human losses are inevitable. This fact often forces us to make hard moral choices about who lives and who dies.
Order of Battle: World War II (iOS)
Order of Battle: World War II is a classic turn-based strategy set during WWII, and a debut game by a studio from Luxemburg, called The Aristocrats. The game was initially supposed to be released as a standalone title called Order of Battle: Pacific, but around a year into the production it was decided that it should become a free-to-play game – on the same occasion, the title has been changed. The title combines old-school mechanics, based on games such as Panzer General, with modern 3D graphics. The gameplay is conducted in a turn-based system on typical hexagons. The game, along with its expansions, provides hundreds of units with unique specialties, realistic yet approachable support system and a plethora of legendary commanders providing different bonuses for their armies. In the base version of the game, there is one training camp, serving as a tutorial, and one scenario from each available DLC.
Strategy December 2017
Overland is a survival strategy game developed by Finji. The game takes place in a not-so-distant future where an unspecified cataclysm devasted the North American continent. We lead an everchanging group of survivors who, traveling by car, are trying to reach their destination. Gameplay focuses on survival. We will be forced to make many difficult decisions as we play. We will also have to find a way to deal with the constant shortages of gas, ammunition, and supplies, but monsters that hunt their prey with their hearing are the biggest threat we will have to face. The game is presented as a series of turn-based events that take place on small areas covered with a grid made of squares. During each turn we will have the opportunity to give orders like moving, starting a campfire, resting, looting the area, and fighting.
Afghanistan '11 (iOS)
An innovative turn-based strategy developed by Every Single Soldier and Retro Epic Software as a direct continuation to Vietnam ’65. Afghanistan ’11 offers the ability to take part in numerous famed events from the history of the conflict. We take control of the coalition forces that focus on arming and training the Afghan security forces, as well as support of the local communities through taking care of crucial infrastructure, building water intakes, or distributing humanitarian aid. Despite the “hearts and minds” philosophy, our units often fall under enemy fire or are struck by IEDs, creating tough situations that have to be addressed with due attention. The game sports simple, warm visuals that offer fluid gameplay even on mobile platforms.
The Banner Saga (iOS)
RPG 02 October 2014
Inspired by the Nordic mythology, a cRPG developed by the independent studio Stoic, whose members worked on, for example, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The action takes us to a world where fratricidal bloodshed between the gods led to chaos and wars. This is an "on the road" type of story, divided into two main plot branches, telling the stories of two Viking parties trying to escape from the threat posed by a mysterious, stone-like race called the Dredge, born as the result of gods’ experiments. Set in fantasy realities, the gameplay combines adventure and RPG elements with a turn-based combat system. With game's progress, your party gains experience and becomes more and more powerful. Also, the decisions you make will exert heavy influence on the plot. The game features amazing 2D graphics, employing art style similar to that of Walt Disney productions.
XCOM: Enemy Within (iOS)
Strategy 12 November 2014
First huge add-on to the tactical strategy game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, released in 2012. Created by the developer team at Firaxis Games, the expansion introduces many new features to basic game. One of the most important among them is a new resource – meld, a type of microscopic, robotic organisms that can modify human genotype. This allows humans to improve their body and even integrate mechanical parts into themselves. The add-on introduces a new soldier class as well – Mec Trooper - along with a special building to “produce” him, two types of aliens (Seeker and Mechtoid) and a new human organization, EXALT, trying to use alien technology to conquer the world. There are also new types of weapons, skills, and maps for multiplayer matches.
Dungeon Rushers (iOS)
RPG 09 May 2017
An RPG from the dungeon crawler genre, developed by the independent studio Goblinz. Players are taken to fantasy world filled with dungeons to explore, treasures to find and monsters to defeat. At the same time, Dungeon Rusher offers a humorous approach to classic heroic fantasy tropes. We lead a party of adventurers, who must defeat a lord of darkness, dwelling in the deepest dungeon. Our team will consist of a shaman, an archeress, a warlike dwarf and a bard. Gameplay comes down to exploring and fighting enemies as we travel through two-dimensional map. When we meet hostile creatures, we are taken on the battlefield and engage in turn-based combat, which requires proper positioning of our fighters and wise use of their abilities. We also find many items, including weaponry, and there are crafting and trading systems. Aside from single player campaign, Dungeon Rushers offers a multiplayer mode to fight against other players.
Atlantic Fleet (iOS)

The action is seen from the third-person perspective, while the battles are divided into movement and attack phases. The players are given more than 60 ships, as well as numerous air units. The players are also treated to a hot-seat multiplayer mode. The game is characteristic for its high-quality 3D graphics that can satisfy mobile and PC users alike.
