An FPS set in a science-fiction world, created by the debuting American studio Valve Software. The story takes place in secret research facility of Black Mesa and begins the main character of the game – Gordon Freeman - arrives at the facility.

After a series of spin-off productions released for the 6th-generation consoles, the popular FPS franchise comes back in a full-fledged multiplayer installment. In accordance with the title, the events of the World War II are observed through the eyes of Boyd Travers, a paratrooper of the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division.

City of the Dead is a first person shooter, whose names were lent by George A. Romero, the famous director of the horror/gore film series, who since 1968 has been successfully shooting further pictures about the struggle of people with zombies.

A spectacular first-person shooter (FPS) set during the Second World War. The game was developed by Treyarch, Activision’s subsidiary. It’s three-chapter campaign spans across the years 1942-1945, being set on Southern Pacific and the Eastern front. We observe the events from the perspectives of three soldier (two Americans and one Russian), and we get to take part in such military operations as the defense of Stalingrad or the Battle of Okinawa.

A first-person shooter based on the engine of the bestselling game Unreal. The title was developed by Digital Extremes and focuses on online battles between players on futuristic arenas. In Unreal Tournament the players can compete in several gameplay modes – deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, domination, last man standing, and assault. Each mode is different from the remaining ones. There aren’t many weapons available, but each one can be used in two ways.

A cyberpunk first-person perspective action RPG developed by Ion Storm, studio led by the legend of the video game industry, Warren Spector – co-creator of such cult series as Ultima and Wing Commander. Deus Ex takes place in the middle of XXI century, in a world filled with terrorism, corruption, poverty and a mysterious disease called the Gray Death.

Once again, the players can participate in spectacular battles, where the forces of the Galactic Empire clash with the Rebel Alliance. The multiplayer mode allows up to 60 players to fight on one of 12 different planets, in the interstellar space and aboard massive space cruisers.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Operation Resurrection is a PlayStation 2 port of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Once again the player assumes the role of B.J. Blazkowicz, an American commando who is tasked with stopping Hitler from creating an army of undead super soldiers.

A sci-fi action shooter developed exclusively for the PlayStation 2 by Guerrilla Games. Killzone is set in the near future, where the player-controlled protagonist becomes entangled in a war between two factions: Helghasts and ISA. There are 11 different missions at our disposal, additionally divided into smaller stages. During the game we take care of a four-person squad of warriors with different specializations, but we can control only one of them at a time.

First-person action game with stealth elements by Rebellion Software, known so far mainly for the cult shooter Aliens vs Predator from 1999. The action of Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945 takes place in the last days of World War II, and during the game we play as Peter Maurer - elite German sniper, recruited by the American OSS agency.

The fifth standalone expansion to Armored Core 3, continuing the storyline of Armored Core: Nexus. Armored Core: Last Raven has us play as a mech pilot caught up in a conflict between The Alliance megacorp and two groups of Ravens.

In addition to the base game, the package includes the Vietcong extension: Fist Alpha, introducing new storylines, additional missions and maps, as well as optional weaponry.

The Operative: No One Lives Forever is an action adventure game by Monolith Productions studio developers. Players are directed by Cate Archer, an agent of the top secret intelligence agency UNITY, which is trying to expose the activities of the sinister organization H.A.R.M. The creators have planned 15 dangerous missions played on 60 boards. The game also offers the option of multiplayer fun, in which 16 people can participate.

An action game, developed by Volition, combining the features of a classic FPS game with extensive adventure game elements. The plot of Red Faction has been set in the year 2100, and takes place on Mars. In one of the mines, a rebellion breaks out against the ruthless regime of the Ultor Corporation, and is further fueled by a virus decimating the workers.

A side-view of the popular Tribes series of first-person online shooters, prepared especially for PlayStation 2. The game is based on the well-known solutions of the cycle. However, the mechanics of the game has undergone a number of changes, resulting from the specificity of consoles and console expectations of players, as a result of which the gameplay has become much faster and more dynamic.

History Civil War: Secret Missions is another game in a series of titles resulting from a collaboration between Activision Blizzard and the popular U.S. TV channel History. Once again, we will move back to the times of the Civil War, reconstructed, of course, with attention to historical realities. The producer of this project is Cauldron, which has already developed several titles from this cycle (e.g. The History Channel: Battle for the Pacific and The History Channel: Civil War).

A sequel to a well-received FPS game developed by Volition. Red Faction II is set five years after the events depicted in the original game, when a civil war breaks out in the Commonwealth. The player assumes the role of Alias - an explosives expert belonging to a team of six super nanosoldiers. The protagonist joins a rebellion against Victor Sopot's totalitarian regime. In terms of mechanics, Red Faction II expands the patterns introduced in the first installment.
