Game was created by Omega Force, Japanese studio known from such series as Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors. The plot of the game refers to the Japanese mythology and focuses on the war waged with demons called Oni, which crawled out from under the ground and took over most of human settlements. Players take on the role of elite warriors, called to fight against the spreading evil. Gameplay boils down to exploration and conversations with NPCs who give us further tasks.

The plot of the game focuses on the conflict between the Cosmos, the goddess of peace and harmony, and Chaos, the god of discord. Players have the opportunity to direct the actions of their favourite Final Fantasy characters, summoned by the swaying deities. The game was produced by Square-Enix's development team.
