Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion PC

Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion is the successor to the cycle initiated by John Romero, which was developed after the creation of id Software. All members of the company at that time - Tom Hall, Adrian Carmack, John Carmack and the originator of the original - participated in the production of the programme.

This time the authors decided to prepare a different product, which connects only the character of the main character with the prototype. Creators have given up the need to search for treasures, now they play the role of a bonus to increase the score. The aim of the struggle is to find the missing brother of Delbert. This is connected with the settlement of an army of living corpses, which captured a villa and the undergrounds located just below it. The action was reduced to a continuous wandering through successive levels, combined with the extermination of opponents and the so-called "bosses".

The game is very difficult. Dave is equipped with a rifle from which eight projectiles can be fired. After exhaustion of the ammunition it is necessary to stop and wait patiently until our charge fills the magazine. Considering that during the game you are constantly attacked by a large number of enemies, and in addition, any contact with an enemy ends in the death of the main hero, you should constantly be on guard and control the means of extermination. The fact that some opponents can move on the ceiling does not make things any easier either. In this case, Dave must lift the weapon up and shoot at the right angle, which is not so easy in the fervour of combat.

In the second installment of the Dangerous Dave cycle, id Software resigned from using VGA mode. The game therefore offers a visual setting in just sixteen colours. Despite this, the program presents itself much more impressive than its original. It consists of a better animation of the characters and different backgrounds.
