RPM Tuning is a low-budget racing game. The players participate in illegal street races and can tune up their cars as they see fit.

The races take place on the streets of Los Angeles (over 50 miles of well-modelled roads). As far as tuning is concerned, there are 1,382,976 visual upgrades, while the number of performance upgrades totals to 221,184 (assuming that we have access to all available parts). Our driving skills can be tested in 7 types of races. The developers did not forget about the famous nitrous oxide system. Using nitro causes the motion blur filter to be applied to the screen. As usual, the game features also an interesting storyline, which eventually leads the player to becoming a true king of the LA racing scene.

The gameplay is extremely arcade and, as a consequence, rather simple. The audiovisual layer is far from awe-inspiring and falls short when compared to, for example, the Need for Speed: Underground series.
