Gone Home is an interactive adventure game and a debut production of The Fullbright Company. The studio was founded by the key personnel of the team that created a great DLC for BioShock 2, Minerva’s Den. The add-on was well-received by the fans and many still think it is even better than the original game.
In Gone Home, we observe the events from a first-person perspective. The game focuses mostly on exploration, solving puzzles and uncovering the secrets of the game’s story. There are no combat sequences whatsoever. The developers created a very interactive world, ruled by realistic physics engine. Moreover, there are no illogical restrictions, either. The player can, for example, open any drawer or shelf, provided that the protagonist can reach it.
The game is powered by the Unity engine and is designed to be played primarily with keyboard and mouse, although it is possible to use a gamepad.
