Death's Apprentice is the first game of BGG Productions Media, known primarily for its humorous TV clips. Amanda Dyar (editor of BioGamer Girl magazine) and Kenny King are responsible for the script and production.

The action of the game was set in the reality of fantasy. One day the main character, the title Death disciple, discovers, to his horror, that his mentor has disappeared somewhere. The problem is that without his care the planet Barron begins to be ruled by chaos. No one dies, nothing dies, and the inhabitants of the hitherto peaceful cities are terrorised by the hordes of all kinds of monsters. The only hope for order is a young terminator, who, although not equal in power to his master, is able to celebrate living beings in the hereafter.

The task of the player who directs the character of the disciple is to determine what really happened to Death and to restore the natural order before things take things too far away. In a dangerous expedition, the hero can count on the help of three faithful companions.

The gameplay in Death's Apprentice refers to classic cRPG games. The game is about exploring vast locations, interacting with independent heroes, performing missions and, of course, fighting. The latter is based on a turn-based system. Each team member has a different set of skills and tactics during the clashes. By defeating enemies, the heroes gain experience (in this case, souls), which allows them to gain new or improve their existing attacks and powers, as well as to use better and better weapons.

From the visual side the game is stylized for retro production. Two-dimensional graphics with clearly fuzzy pixels are supposed to resemble the era of playing on 8 and 16-bit computers. In "old-fashioned" climates, the sound layer has also been maintained.
