Criminal Minds is a production by Legacy Games studio addressed to fans of a popular crime series, known to Polish viewers under the title "Deadly minds". The game was created on the basis of a license of the American television station CBS, which allowed, among other things, to use images of actors.

The Criminal Minds scenario consists of two separate investigations in Austin and Seattle. The player can direct the actions of members of the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit), a special FBI unit responsible for developing psychological profiles of perpetrators of crimes. As in the television original, each investigation is preceded by a briefing at the agency's headquarters in Quantico, after which the team goes to the scene of the event.

During the game the player has to face three types of puzzles. The first one is a puzzle of the hidden objects type, which consists in searching for objects camouflaged in pictures. Scenes of a detective nature require, among other things, interrogation of witnesses. The last group are logical mini-games. Successful completion of tasks allows you to get valuable tips that allow you to create a profile of the perpetrator.

The game offers a simple, intuitive control system, which should not be a problem even for less experienced players. The creators also took care to be able to choose one of the two levels of difficulty - casual and expert - which translates into the number of available hints.

Criminal Minds has an aesthetically pleasing, two-dimensional visuals. The most noteworthy are the illustrations of figures resembling oil portraits.
