Hyper Fighters is the work of the Dutch Team6 Game Studios which specializes in low-budget productions (e.g. Pacific Liberation Force, Alpha Zylon, Street Racer Europe). The game is addressed to lovers of arcade aerial shooters.

Plot

Hyper Fighters takes place in the future, combining the realities of science-fiction and steampunk. The peace is threatened by a powerful superpower owning a huge army of planes, armored vehicles and warships. The only chance for democratic forces is the modern Airhunter fighter, which is entrusted to a well-trained pilot.

Mechanics

Hyper Fighters is focused on dynamic sequences in the style of classic on-rail shooters. The main difficulty is the need to operate the weapon's scope and pilot the aircraft both at the same time. The game offers only one fighter jet, but it can be equipped with various types of weapons.

Game modes

The main campaign in Hyper Fighters consists of 14 scenarios with increasing difficulty. The player has to deal with several types of enemy units, including particularly demanding bosses. The battles take place in a variety of locations, including the ocean coast and the jungle.

Technical aspects

As for the visuals, Hyper Fighters is based on an original Team6 Game Studios engine, also used in their previous multiplatform productions (e.g. Glacier 2). The game features good-looking models of aircraft and warships, as well as spectacular explosions.
