The Room Two, released on AND, PC and iOS, is a sequel to the original logic game from 2012, which has been honored with many awards, including the BAFTA award for the best British game of the year. The continuation was developed by the same development team - the independent Fireproof Games studio.

Mechanics

In The Room Two, we return to the title "room", or rather rooms - because this time there are a few of them, and each was made in a slightly different style. Following the notes left by a mysterious scientist called "Ace", we have to solve the mystery hidden in a given room. The solution is not easy and leads through several minor puzzles, such as finding a key, activating a mechanism or reading an encrypted message. A special viewfinder, which allows seeing things invisible to the naked eye, is very helpful here. In comparison with the original, the puzzles in The Room Two concern not only the given scenery but the whole room, in which the given stage takes place. This requires much more attention from players, as the execution of activity often triggers a reaction in another part of the room.

Technical aspects

Like its predecessor, the gameplay mechanics combine the features of logical games with elements of classic point-and-click adventures and modern casual hidden object games. The atmosphere of mystery, evocative soundtrack and 3D graphics made with great attention to detail have also remained unchanged. The unique control system is designed in such a way that players have the impression that they are performing individual activities. For example, turning the key, or opening a casket, will require us to perform movements similar to real ones.
