Helicopter: Natural Disasters for PC / Windows is an unusual simulation that sees us assume control over a rescue helicopter. The game was developed by PlayWay, a studio known from similar titles, including Professional Farmer 2017, Professional Lumberjack 2015, or FarmFix Simulator 2015.
The game lacks any storyline or even a skeleton plot, offering us the ability to take control of rescue helicopters that take part in numerous rescue missions. In all, we are left with 30 different assignments that consist of various less-complicated tasks. As per the title, the players will be facing natural disasters, including great fires or earthquakes.
The background is a large world spanning over 100 square kilometers, while the individual missions sees us travel to different areas found on its surface. The game is powered by a realistic physics engine that governs the behavior of our machine, as well as the weight of transported victims, objects, or changing weather conditions.
As a rescue pilot, the player is left with five helicopters that fill different needs and have unique functionalities. Aside from the above, we are treated to different sequences that see us control land vehicles and speedboats. Finally, the game also contains a random mode that changes the parameters of the already completed missions, offering new challenges and different course of the action.
Helicopter: Natural Disasters for PC / Windows offers halfway decent three-dimensional visuals. The graphics may not be rich in detail, but the sheer size of the world is definitely a highlight of the game, more so that it is filled with numerous land objects. We are left with a control schemes for gamepads as well as a keyboard and mouse.
