Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for WiiU is the next installment in a sports series from Nintendo. Developed by Camelot, the game lets you play tennis as well as any of the many characters created by the famous Japanese video game publisher. The character roster includes Mario, Peach, and others, also the heroes who made their debut in Mario Tennis.

Gameplay

Gameplay is purely arcade, although based on real tennis rules - using a racket, you have to land the ball on opponent's side of the court without him or her returning the ball. However, Nintendo characters are not ordinary sportsmen, as they are able to use unique special powers. Furthermore, in the Mega Battles Mode you can eat a Mega Mushroom to make your character grow, gaining an upper hand over the opponent.

Game modes

Matches offer 1v1 or 2v2 competitions. It is possible to play against artificial intelligence, albeit the game is at its best when competing with living opponents.

Technology

As most Nintendo games, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash features pleasant, colorful 3D graphics. Thanks to its distinctive artwork style, fans of the BigN will feel at home from the very first minute.
