Hyper Void for PS4, XONE and etc. is an arcade shoot’em up game where we play as a spaceship pilot who ventures through subspace tunnels. The game was developed by two brothers from the independent studio IN|Framez and is their first big production. The studio was inspired by classic games like Gradius, Salamander, Nemesis, Xeon 2: MEgablast and Tempest.

Mechanics

We play as a pilot of the spaceship RM-24. We use it to travel through a subspace tunnel where we discover hordes of aliens that will destroy our civilization. Gameplay mechanics has elements that can be found in many other shoot’em up games. Our ship constantly moves forawad is presented from a third-person perspective. Controls limit to steering right or left as we face numerous enemies.

HyperVoid for PS4, XONE and etc. offers 29 playable levels, half of which ends with difficult boss fights. Many levels have their own unique design. Some will make us move upside down, others constantly change or are made of astreroid belts. Our enemies’ formations, and the overall design of levels, are generated procedurally, making each playthrough a unique experience.

Technical Aspects

HyperVoid for PS4, XONE and etc. has colourful and eye-catching visuals and its OST is made of many dynamic elctro songs.
