The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Nintendo Wii U is a remastered version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The game was first released in 2006 on GameCube and Wii consoles, and in 2016 its improved version debuted on Nintendo Wii U. In comparison to the original, the game features improved graphics (upgraded textures and character models, better animations), and a dedicated Wolf Link amiibo figurine which can be also used in The Legend of Zelda Wii U. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD was developed by Australian studio Tantalus, which specializes in converting various titles to other gaming platforms. Among such projects completed by the developers one can find The Legend of Spyro: Dawk of the Dragon for Nintendo DC, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole (also for DS) or Funky Barn.
The story of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD takes place around 100 years after the events known from Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask. The player becomes Link, who now lives and works in the village called Ordon. One day, the village is attacked by Bulblins who kidnap all the children. It is only the prologue to a much greater adventure.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Nintendo Wii U is an RPG game that belongs to a best-selling series started in the 1980s. This time, the protagonist acts not only in a humanoid form, but at some point he is transformed into a wolf and can be then accompanied by Midna – inhabitant of the Twilight Realm. Additionally, Princess Zelda appears, albeit in slightly less than traditional role. It is worth mentioning that Link has access to a mount on which he travels through the fantasy world. It is possible to attack enemies while on horseback using the height advantage. Among Link's opponents we find living skeletons, spiders, and dragon-like monsters. Developers did not forget about bosses as well, who stand in Link’s path during the key moments of the story.
