Homebound for PC / Windows is a VR-only action-adventure game developed by Quixel, a studio known for creating computer graphics tools.
We play as an astronaut who is on a space station when a catastrophe happens. Our goal is to survive. We achieve it by playing three segments of the game, each of them offering different challenges. First, we will have to survive on the Earth’s orbit. After that, we will be entering the atmosphere. Finally, we will have to face the many dangers of an emergency landing.
Homebound for PC / Windows is an action-adventure game that tests both our reflexes and our cunning. While playing, we will have to explore our surroundings, solve simple logical puzzles, and test ourselves in arcade challenges. All of that is seen from a first-person perspective.
Finishing one of the game’s segments takes from a dozen-or-so minutes to around one hour. Each of them can be played repeatedly to beat your or your friend’s high score. Additionally, each of the scenarios is filled with hidden secrets and items. To top it off, finding new ways to kill the astronaut can also be quite entertaining. The game also offers a free mode, in which we can explore the locations without any time constraints.
Homebound uses Unreal Engine 4 and works only on VR devices. The game supports HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, and we can use pads, motion game controllers, or a mouse-keyboard combination.
