Viking Rage for PC / Windows is a VR tower defense game (for HTC Vive). It is the first game developed by the German studio N-Gon Entertainment. It was published by Headup Games, a company known for games like Dead Age, Meidian: New World, or Bridge Constructor Medieval.
Viking Rage for PC / Windows is a tower defense game. Our job is to fend off the enemies that attack our base, but we do it not by building watchtowers like in most of the tower defense games, but by directly attacking our opponents. As the titular Viking, we move around the game’s map and attack the invaders with axes, bombs, bows, and crossbows. We can also use various traps to make our job a bit easier. Our fortifications’ durbality is finite, so we have to deal with the attackers as soon as possible. The way our character moves around the map is typical for the VR games – we simply teleport from one place to another.
Viking Rage for PC / Windows is a rather simple game with simplistic visuals. The game, however, has nice carton-inspiried style that masks some of the bungles, i.e. characters are not that detailed, but they look completely fine when moving. Same thing can be said about the locations.
