Mechanics

Master of Arena is a TPP action game, in which players control huge mechs - the eponymous armored cores. At their helm, they carry out a variety of tasks, primarily focusing on the elimination of indicated objectives. Unlike the previous installments, the third game intertwines the story mode with separate battles in arenas against other mechs in order to climb the ranking of the best AC pilots. An important element of the game is the construction of our own machine. The players their dream robots, using elements such as power generators, radar systems and mobility modules that they have won or bought for cash.

Game modes

Master of Arena enables us to play solo and in multiplayer mode. Two players can compete on split screen on a single console or on separate devices and TVs as part of a Link cable connection. Duels take place on maps known from the story mode, maintained in various styles, with the use of standard mechs or constructions created and saved by the players.

Technical aspects

Master of Arena was released on two CDs. The first one features the story mode, the second - EX Arena and Ranker Maker modules. The first enables us to test our combat skills and created machines in battles against many enemy machines on large maps. The Maker Ranker enables us to design our own missions and opponents. Players can use tools similar to those used by creators to create opponents for arena battles from scratch, even affecting their behavior in various situations.
