Lost Planet: Extreme Condition belongs to the genre of action games in which we observe the game from the third person perspective (TPP). This item was created in the offices of the Capcom concern. The main works were carried out by Keiji Inafune (series Onimusha) and Jun Takeuchi (Devil May Cry). PeCet version of the game, being a conversion of Lost Planet from Xbox 360, boasts enriched visual setting (including support for resolution up to 2560x1600), modified user interface (a tribute to players who prefer mouse keyboard set) and new maps designed for multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, when it comes to missions, enemies or weapons, we get practically the same game that has been present on the Microsoft console since January 2007.

In Lost Planet: Extreme Condition we take control over a man saved from a certain death by a mysterious group of Snow Pirates, fighting with powerful creatures and hostile factions inhabiting a huge and unusual planet. It is as if taken from the times of one of the Earth's ice ages - omnipresent snow, ice, frosty, snowy storms and terrifyingly low temperatures. It is worth noting that the main character of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition was based on the star of Korean cinema, Lee Byung Hun known, among others, from the picture Three.... Extremes.

The game consists in performing the tasks assigned to us by the command of Snow Pirates (limited mainly to extermination) and looking for the murderers father of the main character of the game. The penetration of vast locations and the fight against more human-looking monsters and enemies of all kinds of vehicles, the most important of which are phenomenally designed mosses (robots controlled from the inside by a human being). The extraordinary climate is created by the conditions prevailing on the surface of the planet - we are accompanied by constant snowfall, sometimes changing into powerful storms, from which one can shelter only inside the combat machines and devastated buildings.

As already mentioned, the graphic design has improved significantly compared to the original - molecular effects, lighting or shading look really impressive. The authors also tried to prepare realistic and emotionally filled intermission scenes based on the graphic "engine" used during the game. As in the case of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition known from the console, the PeCet version offers the possibility of facing live opponents in multiplayer modes (up to 16 players) in addition to single-player gameplay. Players can try out, among other things, the cooperation option (passing through individual missions being supported by a friend and vice versa).
