The third strategy game from the Battleground series, in which we have the opportunity to recreate the events from the last battle of Napoleon's campaign at Waterloo. The United armies under the command of English Prince Wellington and Prussian Field Marshal Blücher were unable to stop Napoleon's troops in the two earlier battles of Ligny and Quatre-Bras. However, Prince Wellington decided for the last time to oppose the Napoleonic army under the Belgian Waterloo. It was there that the decisive battle took place on 18 June 1815, which contributed to the final defeat of Bonaparte.

In the game we have the ability to recreate the battle with any side of the conflict, and as Napoleon we can try to change history by leading our troops to victory. We must remember, however, that the historical course of the battle was influenced by many factors, such as late Grouchy's meals, or the arrival of the Prussians to help Wellington's troops. Battleground 3: Waterloo adheres to the iron rules of the series, determined by its two previous versions. The gameplay is complicated, but the easy-to-use interface and easy to learn rules make it a favourite with both racial strategists and novice players.

The battlefield is viewed in the classic two-dimensional perspective, or in isometric 3D. Programmers from Talonsoft once again surprise with faithfully rendered historical realities and precisely recreated area of struggle, armament and uniformed troops. Traditionally, the game also includes a multiplayer mode, available for two people via the network or e-mail.
