Inkheart is a simple arcade game, referring both to the adventure film Inkheart with Brendan Fraser and one of the most popular novels by Cornelia Funke. The only target platform for this production is the Nintendo DS console.

The plot of this game largely coincides with the events presented in the cinema production. Inkheart tells the story of a young girl. The main character discovers that her father Mo has a unique ability to bring to life characters from books. One day he brings three bad characters from the title book Inkheart, which tells the story of a medieval land inhabited by magical creatures.

The action of the right game takes place ten years after these events. The girl learns that her father has been kidnapped by these creatures - Capricorn, Basta and Dustfinger. The player's task is to make a dangerous journey to find Mo and save the world from total annihilation. The girl can count on the help of friends, both close family and positive characters from books.

The actual gameplay is based on a similar scheme to other products of the genre. Controlled by the player, the girl explores the area, solves riddles and eliminates monsters. Because Inkheart was created mainly for the youngest DS users, the fun is low in difficulty. The struggles are observed in a colourful and detailed environment. The control of the main character assumes the use of a handheld touch screen.
