WarioWare D.I.Y. is another after WarioWare: Touched! an extensive collection of mini-games released on the Nintendo DS console. This time, however, the creators went a step further, putting emphasis on mini-games created by ourselves.

The plot, as in previous editions of the series, is not complicated. A mad scientist known as Dr. Crygor created a machine called Super Makermatic 21. He did this so that everyone, regardless of their skills, could play games on their own. Wario, who went to the laboratory to repair a TV set, was very impressed with the invention and decided to try his hand as a creator.

The main driving force behind the title is a wide range of tools to create a variety of micro games (as D.I.Y calls mini-games). The process of creation, especially after reading the exhaustive tutorials, is very intuitive, and additionally leaves a wide field to show off. Although you cannot use external graphics, such as photos taken with the camera in DSi, this is actually the only limitation on the appearance of games - there is an option to draw individual objects by yourself. While creating a game, we have an additional influence on both its duration and "rules", what should happen if you click on a given element.

In addition to games, we can also create our own four panel comics and albums, as well as listen to music in MIDI format.

We can transfer our creations, using a previously purchased application in the WiiWare service, to the Wii console and try their hand at them using Wiilot. In addition, micro games can be shared with friends both locally and via Wi-Fi. In the latter case the Friend Codes system is used.

WarioWare D.I.Y is limited in two respectscompared to the previous parts of the cycle. First of all, all mini-games are based only on single presses on elements using the touch screen. So we won't notice dragging objects and blowing into the microphone. Another disadvantage is the smaller number of games prepared by the developers themselves - in D.I.Y we will find them "only" 90. Discovering the next ones does not take place by going through the previous ones. Every day, for the first five days, access to the next character and the mini-games associated with her appears, which only then can be unlocked.
