Cargo 3

Cargo 3 for PC and X360 is the debut title of the Polish studio Vinci Games. The title takes place in distant future, during the year 2249. It is a brutal science fiction shooter that features intense gameplay, interactive environment and various locations.

Plot

The game tells the story of an ex-commando of the United Exploration Corporation. In search for the missing family, he arrived at a mining colony on planet Argos 9. Underneath the planet surface there are deposits of nitium – an unusual metal that is the solution to the problem of depleting resources. It is meant to secure the survival of humanity during the hard times and to provide unprecedented growth of civilization. However, soon it is discovered that the newly found element hides something more. The contact with the inhabitants of the base is lost. Among them there were some relatives of the protagonist.

Mechanics

The gameplay in Cargo 3 for PC and X360 features dark tune and intense combat with space opponents who greatly outnumber the player. The game takes place mostly in claustrophobic rooms and dark corridors of the undergrounds of the mining colony. These locations strengthen the feeling of terror and uncertainty about the future. Some levels take place in half-open spaces. The combat is typical for the FPS genre. The player can upgrade each of his 9 weapons and he can interact with his surroundings.
