A reboot of the popular adventure series of a gothic horror style, developed by KING Art Games. The action takes the player to Scotland, 1926, where the hero – David Gordon – conducts an investigation into the circumstances of his father’s suicide. During the adventure, the protagonist discovers details concerning his father, learns about new, unknown-so-far members of his family, and also faces his own nightmares – he is certain that there is a curse on his family, and that eventually he will go insane, just as his predecessors. In Black Mirror, the player travels through depressing locations, chat with NPCs, and solve more or less complicated puzzles – these are similar to those in point-n-click classic adventures. The visions and nightmare hallucinations play crucial roles in the game – once the hero experiences them, he may learn more about his family house’s past. The amazing visuals have faint colours which intensify the gloomy atmosphere.

Biomutant is an open world RPG developed by Experiment 101 and published by THQ Nordic. The game takes players to a peculiar world inhabited by humanoid animals – this universe combines the post-apocalyptic science fiction elements with themes from the Kung-Fu movies. Upon starting his adventure, a player has to create his character from scratch and develop him as the story progresses – one can choose multiple cyber-implants and mutations enabling his character to use certain special abilities. During the story campaign, one can explore the vast open world and complete consecutive tasks; however, the most important aspect of the game is fighting numerous foes and making a good use of the arcade system, which allows a player to utilize various firearms and multiple types of cold steel. Also important are the companion droids, which can be developed and modified by players. Moreover, the game does not lack the crafting system. The exploration is even more pleasing due to the access to multiple means of transportation, such as jet skis, balloons, and flying saucers.
Detroit: Become Human

An action-adventure game set in a science-fiction world, created by developers from the French studio Quantum Dreams – creators of such games as Fahrenheit, Beyond: Two Souls and the bestselling Heavy Rain. Detroit: Become Human expands on ideas present in the 2012 year’s demo Kara, which depicted a female android developing human emotions. The game takes place in the futuristic version of Detroit, where humanoid robots are a common sight. But the main protagonist – the android Kara – is special, as she is the only one possessing real human feelings. Those emotions are what drives her to learn more about herself and other robots, and if it’s possible – to shape her own future. With the help of players, of course.
Call of Cthulhu
Call of Cthulhu is a dark adventure game in a horror setting, based on the works of an American writer, H.P. Lovecraft. The game’s story is based on Lovecraft's fictional universe, first popularized by the, written in 1926 and published 2 years later, short story “Call of Cthulhu”. According to it, aside from well-known and common creatures, the Earth is home to an unimaginably powerful cosmic entity that remains in hibernation but will be eventually revived when the stars align in a certain position.

An action adventure game focusing on multiplayer, set in an open world filled with pirates, treasures and exotic lands to explore. It is a work of the experienced studios Rare – creators of such classic series as Donkey Kong and Banjoo-Kazooie. Players take on roles of corsairs taking part in countless adventures, both on land and open sea. Gameplay revolves around exploration and searching for legendary pirate treasures, though there is a lot of fighting against monsters, as well as epic naval battles of competing groups. As can be easily noticed, Sea of Thieves takes a lot of inspiration from classic tales of pirates, but depicts it in a very humorous way, which is emphasized with its cartoonish visuals.
Titanic: Honor and Glory
A first-person adventure game from ORM Entertainment, which was initially supposed to be nothing more than modification to the popular shooter Crysis 2. Its story revolves around the disaster of the famous ocean liner, which sunk in 1912 with hundreds of people on board. We play as a man named Robert Morgan, who, due to false accusations, has to hide aboard the liner from the police. He must find a proof of his innocence, but the collision with the iceberg suddenly makes survival an equally important point. The main goal of the developers was to recreate the interior of the Titanic as faithfully as possible, and, in addition to the story campaign, a special free exploration mode has been prepared to allow us to go sightseeing on the famous ship, look around its almost every corner and interact with various objects on the deck.
CodeRed: Agent Sarah's Story
A detective adventure game developed by a Polish studio called LivinThing. In CodeRed: Agent Sarah’s Story a player assumes the role of an FBI special agent and runs an investigation aimed at arresting an incredibly dangerous villain, who is planning to detonate a bomb in New York City. Gameplay mechanics combine an interactive story with management elements, logical puzzles, and minigames such as locating hidden objects. The game also delivers some arcade elements like car chases and shootouts. Actions taken in the game have some predetermined consequences and eventually lead a player to one of the three available story endings.
A sandbox game by Unknown Worlds that combines elements of action-adventure productions and RPGs. As the game’s universe draws inspiration from such novels as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, at the bottom of the ocean you can find bizarre sea monsters, as well as remnants of futuristic buildings and ships. The player assumes the role of a captain of an advanced submarine, and explores the depths of the ocean. The game’s characteristic feature is the ability to design vessels and determine such things as performance, layout, on-board mechanisms, and materials used for the construction. You begin with rather primitive ships, but as you progress you will be able to construct more advanced vessels, and explore previously unavailable parts of the ocean. While playing, you can freely walk around your ship, and even go outside to explore the marine world on your own.

First-person perspective horror game designed for virtual reality headsets and a prequel to the other work of Supermassive Games studio, Until Dawn. We play as patient of Blackwood Pines Sanatorium mental hospital, 60 years before events of the previous game. Protagonist is tormented by nightmares and can’t remember how he got here. He must unveil the grim mystery of this place, but the fact he keeps getting injected with all sorts of medicaments that cause him to get experience visions. The Inpatient lets us experience horrifying scenes, explore dark locations and interact with characters we meet. There are also decisions to make during crucial moments of the story that affect how it develops. The Inpatient focuses on immersion, using FPP view and letting us choose dialogue options by reading aloud one of a few available on the screen.
A sandbox game by System Era Softworks. Astroneer is set in the 25th century, when the civilization on Earth has developed enough for interstellar travel to become an everyday occurrence. It resulted in a certain kind of gold fever — people started to explore other planets on their own, driven by the desire of getting rich quick. The open world of the game is procedurally generated, and the surfaces of planets and moons are made of voxels. You play as an astronaut equipped with tools allowing them to dig holes in order to find resources and artifacts, which can be then sold or used to create new items thanks to an expansive crafting system. The system allows not only to make and modify useful equipment and vehicles, but also to build bases. The planets featured in the game vary in terms of gravity, resources, and possible dangers. The game features both a single player mode and a multiplayer mode.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite
A first-person perspective adventure game that combines elements of spy movies and horror. It is the first large game developed by the Polish studio Jujubee known mostly for its futuristic racing series Flashout. The story of the game focuses on the mysterious disaster of the Russian submarine K-141 Kursk which sank during the summer of 2000 on the Barents Sea. It was never determined what caused the incident. The player’s objective in the game is to discover what actually happened on the submarine and caused the death of more than one hundred members of the crew. The gameplay mechanics are similar to Alien: Isolation and the game focuses mostly on storytelling. The game has many spy plots and horror elements. The mysterious history of the Kursk submarine and suggestive tone of the production makes it very atmospheric.

An unordinary action-adventure game which uses the style and tune of the 60s. The title was created by an independent studio Compulsion Games known for creating Contrast, a title that used similar style. In the game, the player travels to a fictional town in which, due to indoctrination and a wonderful drug, the citizens are constantly happy and all traits of dissatisfaction are immediately eliminated. The protagonist is one of the defiant citizens who are resistant to the system. In order to survive in the surrounding world, he must observe it thoroughly and understand its rules. The action is shown from first-person perspective and the gameplay is focused on exploration, and gathering various items and using them. While doing it, players must behave according to the social norms so that other citizens don’t become suspicious. The world of the game was characteristically exaggerated, but the game tells about many very important topics.
My Memory of Us
A two-dimensional adventure game with platformer features from the independent Polish team at Juggler Games. It takes players to a fictional city ruled by the Evil King and his army of robots. Certain districts have been separated from others by a high wall, and this ghetto is used to contain the so called “worse part of society”. The players take control of two kids trying to survive in the cruel new reality. My Memory Of Us uses side-view camera angle to present the world, and the controlled duo must support each other to overcome all obstacles and solve all puzzles. One of the game’s selling points is a simplified dialogue system based on symbols, as well as its setting being inspired by actual life in Poland under German occupation during World War II, especially inside Jewish ghettos. It also stands out with the monochromatic colors of its visuals.
Resident Evil 2 Remake
A remake of the second part of the famous survival-horror franchise Resident Evil, which debuted on the PlayStation console in 1998 and was later ported to other consoles and PC / Windows. Resident Evil 2 Remake was developed by the Capcom’s leading team, R&D Division 1, for the latest gaming platforms. The game is based on the original plot with slightly modified mechanics. The action takes place a few months after the events of the game’s first part, when after a moment of calmness, a deadly zombie epidemic once again plagues Raccoon City. The player follows the story of a rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and a young girl – Claire Redfield – who arrived in the city in search of her brother. Early into the story, the two protagonists are separated and from there on the action is seen from two different points of view, and the characters’ stories develop slightly differently.
A first-person perspective action-adventure game stylized as a survival horror. Allison Road had a somewhat complicated development cycle, with previous developers (Lilith) abandoning the project. However, a new studio, Far From Home, decided to pick-up the project and lead it to a stable release. The player assumes the role of an unidentified hero, who wakes up one night in a suburban home without having any recollection of the events of the last few days. Our protagonist, attempting to return to his family and discover what has happened, learns that the mansion has a grim backstory, while its walls are inhabited by dangerous, supernatural beings, including a ghost named Lilly. Our task is to avoid the monsters and survive five full nights in the grim house to explore it thoroughly and reveal its secrets. As our hero doesn’t have any weapons on him, Allison Road forces the player to use the environment around him to hide and lay traps.
The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series - Season 2
A psychological horror game and the debut work from SadSquare - an independent studio. The story is non-linear and focuses on a gloomy household that has seen many frightening events throughout the years - it has a history of driving entire families insane, leading to numerous killings and suicides. The protagonist is trapped inside the house, and apart from getting out of there, their goal is to solve the mystery behind the place. The players explore the in-game environment, solve puzzles requiring them to manipulate various objects, and search for clues related to the dark past of the haunted estate. Avoiding contact with ghosts dwelling in the estate is a significant element of gameplay, as the protagonist is incapable of fighting them. Visage utilizes the Unreal Engine 4, which is at the source of the game's high-quality visuals. Furthermore, the game supports VR goggles, though one does not require them in order to play it.
Lust for Darkness
An adventure game with a psychological horror setting. The main protagonist of the story is Jonathan Moon, who in search for his missing wife, lands in a grim Victorian residence. In the mansion owned by Yelvertones, there is a secret and occultist ceremony taking place. Moreover, the mansion is connected with an alternate dimension called Lusst'ghaa inhabited by degenerated beings. In Lust for Darkness, a player observes the action from the first-person perspective and traverses dark rooms within the mansion as well as the locations in the Lusst'ghaa dimension, which one can enter using the encountered portals. On his adventure, a player has to solve more or less complicated puzzles and learn useful information on the in-game world. As the main protagonist is unable to fight, in case of a confrontation, a player is left with no other choice than to hide from the danger and sneak past the adversaries. The game developed by Movie Games features high-quality visuals - the developers drew their inspirations from occult themes and erotic paintings by Zdzislaw Beksinski.
We. the Revolution
Inspired by a popular game Papers, Please, this is an unusual mixture of genres by the Polyslash studio based in Cracow, Poland. We. The Revolution is set in the 18th-century Paris during the French Revolution. The player takes the role of a judge in the Revolutionary Tribunal, who judges both revolutionists and their enemies, as well as criminals and ordinary citizens. After accepting a particular case, you have to look through the files and the evidence, interview people involved, and finally state the verdict – either just or one serving your interests. During the game you get to make lots of decisions that affect not only the course of the protagonist’s career or the fate of his family and friends, but also the balance of political forces in the capital of France. As the game progresses, the character that you control also gains more and more influence, which allows him, for example, to participate in various conspiracies, or even start a struggle for power.

An exploration game designed exclusively for Virtual Reality headgear – ARK Park takes players to a futuristic Jurassic park. The action of the game includes references to the popular online survival game called ARK: Survival Evolved. In the game, one can observe the natural habitat of dinosaurs, and even ride the gigantic reptiles. The locations one gets to explore are much diversified – there is a tropical jungle, snow-capped mountain peaks, and even vast steppes. During his journey, a player can use a camera, solve relatively simple puzzles, and learn about over 100 dinosaur species – their genes serve as collectibles. Moreover, ARK Park introduces a zoo, in which one can play with the animals the genes of which he has acquired – this means stroking, feeding, and even painting them. The game is based on Unreal Engine 4, thus the visuals featured in the game are of high quality.
Empyrion: Galactic Survival
A science-fiction sandbox game that takes place in a procedurally generated universe. The story is set in the 24th century, when Earth struggles with overpopulation, climate change, and natural resource depletion. Having found a wreckage of an alien ship, powered by an unknown energy source and containing a map of a distant galaxy, humanity dispatches a powerful space expedition. The player assumes command of one of the starships; however, as a result of a mechanical failure, the vessel crashes on an uncharted planet and the protagonist, as the sole survivor, is put against impossible odds to stay alive. Gameplay-wise, Empyrion: Galactic Survival combines elements of adventure, strategy, and space simulation games, putting emphasis on survival aspects and the extensive crafting system. In the game, we arrive at various kinds of planet, where we have to face different dangers in the form of hazardous climatic conditions or hostile alien races.
