Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
Logic November 2017
A stand-alone version of collective card game (CCG) that debuted in the bestselling RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, by CD Project RED, and quickly became acknowledged as one of the best minigames in history. In Gwent: The Witcher Card Game players compete against each other with progressively collected decks of cards from five different factions. As in most CCG, the gameplay is turn-based, but quite unusually, the player’s objective is to gather more attack points than opponent. Cards are placed in three different rows, respectively for melee soldier, ranged units and siege machines like catapults. Our army’s strength can be both increased and decreased with special cards, unique skills of commanders or weather effects. Aside from complex multiplayer mode, the game also offers an episodic story campaign.
A card game set in the universe known from the Fable series. The title was developed by Flaming Fowl, a studio that consists of former employees of Lionhead Studios – the creators of the previous entries in this popular franchise. As in other games of the genre, the gameplay focuses on duels played by using cards collected by the player in the game. The player can select from many heroes with different abilities and bonuses that can be used during the duels. The battles have not only a story background, but specific tasks to complete as well. The player must frequently choose between good and evil and his decisions determine the look of the protagonist and list of available units. Fable Fortune can be played alone or in multiplayer mode – the game contains both cooperation and competitive modes.

Archaica: The Path of Light
Logic 08 September 2017
A logic game inspired by Chromatron and Aargon. Archaica: The Path Of Light is the debut production of TwoMammoths, a Polish development studio. The title puts an incredibly responsible task in the player’s hands: to save the humanity from extinction. To achieve this, we have to activate special defense mechanisms by leading a beam of light through the forgotten path of the ancients. In practice, it means operating mirrors so that they reflect light into magic crystals that provide energy to machines. This task is made difficult by numerous obstacles such as stone blocks that we have to move or gates that need to be opened. The game is further enriched with secrets that reveal some details about the story. We uncover them by directing a beam of light at obelisks marked with hieroglyphs. The single player campaign offers five areas divided into several levels. We gain access to them from the world map, and the stages we’ve completed can be replayed. Archaica: The Path Of Light features colorful 3D graphics and diverse locations.

A collectible card game developed by High Voltage Software. The game combines traditional fantasy themes with dieselpunk aesthetics. Dragon Front has no plot and the gameplay focuses mostly on participating in duels. The battles take place on 4x4 boards and the rules were inspired by the Dejarik game known from the fourth episode of Star Wars. The player can select from four unique factions with different attributes, mechanics and battle strategy. There are more than a hundred of spells and 300 different characters available in the game. Among them there are various battle creatures and powerful heroes who, after summoning, can change the outcome of many battles. Dragon Front was created with virtual reality sets in mind, allowing the players to immerse themselves in the game world even more than usually.
A first-person perspective logic game developed by Theory Interactive (a studio founded by former employees of Futuremark). The game contains a so-called “solo cooperation mode”. Reset takes place in a future world in which advanced technologies provide humanity with unusual possibilities. The protagonist can bend time and space and create copies of himself from the future. He uses this ability to solve various challenging and satisfying riddles in which not only intellect matters, but agility as well – some actions must be well coordinated. A high level of freedom in selection of future tasks is only an addition to the expansive, linear story told with fancy methods – including impressive cutscenes. The visuals of the game are one of its great advantages – despite the low budget, the game looks very impressively.

A 2D logic puzzle game with platform elements created by Neko Entertainment. The production was inspired by the beliefs and traditions of the Huichol people, which is evident in the story and attractive visuals, full of psychedelic colors. You play as a young shaman, who tries to gain wisdom and experience. To achieve that, the protagonist embarks on a journey across the magical version of the Sierra Madre mountains. The gameplay focuses on exploring the memorable world and solving puzzles by connecting the elements of the surroundings — you do it by drawing straight lines between objects. Apart from that, the shaman also performs various rituals, which allow him to overcome obstacles. It's worth noting that on his way he may encounter not only threats, but also things and beings that help him on his journey.

Hero Emblems 2
Logic game witch arcade elements, which lets you play with some virtual clay. You play from a perspective of a child, spending time in his or her room on viewing an amazing book. Each of its pages is a new world entirely built of clay. In-game levels offer a variety of action/logic challenges, most of which are based on the physics of items – the engine mimics the movement of clay objects quite realistically. In order to solve puzzles, you must properly terraform lands and reshape some structures, move smaller objects or mould them into something else (e.g. turn a small ball into a piece of Swiss cheese or a gingerbread man), as well as control a variety of vehicles. Claybook is very forgiving, letting you rewind time in order to fix your mistakes. Apart from solo play, the game offers co-op mode for up to four people. You can also build your own levels thanks to the in-built editor. The game’s light-hearted atmosphere is reflected by its colorful 3D graphics and pleasant audio.
Where Cards Fall
Logic October 2017
Where Cards Fall is an original logical game created by two independent developers, The Game Band and Snowman. The game features simple, cartoonish visuals that work really well with the polished animations and catchy, atmospheric soundtrack. Combined with the subject chosen by the developers, all of that creates an intriguing game. Where Cards Fall focuses on the process of growing up and on the effects of one's youth on the adult life. In the game, we build a house of cards and shape the reality around us. Structures we build bring back memories that progress the plot and ease the character movement. That's how we solve riddles and help our heroes to get to new places.

A unique mix of puzzle and arcade game with addition of roguelike’s features. It has been developed by the Canadian team at Illogika Studios. The game takes us to the titular submerged metropolis ruled by sentient machines. We play as a girl named Styx and her faithful companion Dron on their quest for revenge. Subaeria’s gameplay is based on exploration. We observe the 3D world from an isometric perspective, and since the heroine can’t use weapons, she must try to manipulate hostile robots (known as The Cleaners) to make them fight each other. This is where the little drone comes into play, as it can be used to control the robotic adversaries. The gameplay is complemented by good-looking 3D visuals.
A premium mobile logic puzzle game by Honig Studios, up until now known from educational programs. Impossible Bottles follows the story of a scientist, who wants to create an inexhaustible source of energy for all the people in the world. To achieve that, he builds gigantic mechanical golems that produce energy. However, they don't work properly, so your task is to find solutions to all the technical problems. During the fame, you visit various locations divided into two zones: the upper zone, where the people live, and the lower zone for the robots. The maps, although they are rather small, vary greatly and e.g. one of them features the Aztecs and their mechanical god, while another is inhabited by ordinary people living in a small house with a crazy tiny robot. Impossible Bottles features beautiful artistic visuals.
An unusual production by Pawel Mogila from Mogila Games. The title features elements characteristic for logic, action, platform, and even stealth games. You assume the role of Samson who, as the title outright states, is clinically dead. This means that for him, the time has stopped – due to that, he can contemplate his whole life. This translates into traveling through surreal places, which symbolize the hero’s mind, and talking with his own subconsciousness. In Clinically Dead, the action is presented from the first-person perspective. Logic puzzles are the backbone of the game – you need to manipulate time, represented by multi-colored stains on the environment elements. Your job is to maneuver these objects so that they adjust correctly at the right moment, which unlocks another location. Moreover, the hero also jumps on the platforms, faces opponents (using melee weapons or magic bullets), or sneaks behind their backs. This is a non-linear title featuring locations connected by multiple paths.
