Gloria Victis was designed as an alternative to many similar Asian MMO games, which usually fail to represent the actual feel of the Medieval period and its socio-economic realities. The game is set on the continent devastated by a long war and crusades, where the leaders of the most powerful nations still fight for dominance. Your character is thrown in the middle of that conflict. Although the hero will belong to one of four archetypes, the character progression offers a large degree of freedom (no classes or professions). As you play, you get to explore the vast world, tale part in various missions, and fight opponents with a wide arsenal of weapons characteristic for the period. Much emphasis was put on the complex economy, crafting system with 10 specializations, and social features, e.g. creating player guilds.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode
RPG 02 November 2017
.hack//G.U. Last Recode is a collection of three Japanese RPGs initially released on PlayStation 2 between 2006-2007: hack//G.U. vol. 1//Rebirth, .hack//G.U. Vol.2//Reminisce, and .hack//G.U. Vol.3//Redemption. All three have been developed by CyberConnect2, also responsible for working on the remastered editions. These MMORPGs allow a player to visit a virtual world, in which he has to complete consecutive tasks and fight enemies in real time with a team of over a dozen warriors. The developers have improved the visuals and altered the gameplay mechanics by deleting most of the bugs that players were complaining on, such as the too high difficulty level, the uncomfortable inventory interface, the necessity to grind, and the occurrences of short pauses after issuing orders. All the improvements have also been implemented into all the installments featured by the Last Recode collection.
Torchlight: The Legend Continues
Developed by Fedeen Games, Torchlight Mobile is a spin-off to a popular hack-and-slash game series. The title was developed from scratch with mobile devices in mind, and thus it is not a simple conversion of any of the previous installments. Torchlight Mobile invites you into a classic fantasy universe, as it stands on the brink of destruction at the hands of servants of darkness. Obviously, the task of defeating the evil forces and saving the world falls down on the player. You can pick any of the four playable character classes: Berserker, Engineer, Outlander, and Embermage, each one representing a completely different profession and requiring different play style. In a typical action RPG manner, the gameplay boils down to fighting hordes of monsters, developing your character’s skills, and upgradeing their equipment, e.g. by combining several weaker items into one more powerful. Torchlight Mobile features slightly cartoonish artworks, characteristic of the core games in the series.
Consortium: The Tower
A continuation to Consortium (2014), developed by Interdimensional Games. This extraordinary mixture of an FPP shooter, an adventure game, and an RPG, is set in 2042. The protagonist - agent Bishop Six, gets assigned to a task of rescuing people kept hostage in London's Churchill Tower by Kiril Angelov. The story present is non-linear - the player encounters representatives of different factions, and one can build more and less friendly relations with them; during the adventure, the player will even have an opportunity to act against the titular organization he is hired by. The non-linear story is followed by diverse gameplay, as the in-game conflicts can be resolved both by force and using diplomatic methods. Exploration is one of the pillars the experience is based on, and this element was improved with special abilities of the protagonist, as he can breathe under water and fall from great heights without taking any damage. Those fond of stealth action will be satisfied with opportunities to use both visual and sound camouflage. All of this is complemented by conversations with NPCs, which can be a source of useful information and clues. Importantly, those who have completed the original game can import their save files here - others can enjoy a summary of the events depicted in the original Consortium.
Ashes of Creation
An MMORPG title set in a fantasy world developed by Interpid Studios, which was established by veteran developers. Ashes of Creation takes us to a fantasy land which experienced a cataclysm a long time ago. Now there are only remains of the civilization, and when the members of sentient species regained rule over the land, they also woke up an old threat. We create our own hero choosing one of eight races with different specializations. Gameplay isn’t much different from what we can see in other games from the genre, though we can get our own land to build a house and take one of the many available jobs. One noteworthy feature is a vast and varied world, which is shaped by players’ actions alongside plot.
