Strategy games. Victory depends here on player’s strategy and tactics. Main task is to control resources (e.g. troops, civil workers) in order to defeat an enemy or achieve some other goal. Cities: Skylines

An economic strategy game belonging to the popular genre of city builders. This one was created by the Finnish studio Colossal Order, creators of the Cities In Motion series. The game is a response to the popular SimCity franchise from Maxis Studios. In contrast to the previous titles from the Finns, this one is not limited to public transportation, letting you build up a whole virtual metropolis from scratch.
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun
Strategy 24 August 1999
The third entry in the ground-breaking real-time strategy game series, this time calling back to the very first game from 1995. The game itself, however, takes us to the beginning of 21st century and once again puts us in charge of the weakened Nod Brotherhood or GDI alliance that tries to maintain the world peace under the command of General Salomon.
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak

An online RTS developed as the debut project from Blackbird Interactive, studio founded by former employees of Relic Entertainment - the creators of the cult Homeworld series. Originally, this game was entitled Hardware: Shipbreakers, however, the partnership with the current owner of the Homeworld franchise, the Gearbox Software company, resulted in changing the game’s title and its official inclusion as a part of the series.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm

Another stand-alone expansion for the real-time strategy Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War that was released in 2004. The Soulstorm expansion adds one new story campaign for the game. It encompasses the the entire Kaurava system that consists of four planets and three moons. A conflict between nine factions starts in that area. They all intend to examine the eponymous anomaly. The expansion adds two previously unavailable factions. The first one are the Dark Eldar, corrupt pirates and slavers.
This is the Police 2

A sequel to This is the Police. The game was developed by the creators of the original title, Weappy Studio. Similarly to its predecessor, the game combines traits of adventure games and strategy games. In This is the Police 2 the players assume the role of Lilly Reed – a female sheriff who tries to bring order to the small city of Sharpwood.
Black & White 2

The sequel to the innovative strategy game by Peter Molyneux, once again offering the players an opportunity to play a god. The action of Black & White 2 takes place in the same world, and our task is to assume divine control over a chosen tribe of worshipers. The gameplay mechanics were not significantly changed, although the continuation is more combat-focused than its predecessor, and the constant choosing between good and evil remains the key issue.
XCOM 2

Both games were produced by the experienced developer, studio Firaxis Games, founded by Sid Meier, a legend of the video game industry. The story is set 20 years after the events of the last game. Despite their heroic efforts, human forces proved themselves helpless against the alien invaders, and the Blue Planet fell into their hands.

It expands the plot with new threads, taking place after the events of the core game. During the three campaigns, the player can support the retreating Soviets, help the Empire of the Rising Sun to regain its former glory, or tackle the corruption ravaging the ranks of the Allies. The fourth mini-campaign tells the tale of one of the Empire's leaders – Yuriko.
Frostpunk

An adventure/strategy game with survival elements by Polish studio 11bit Studios. Frostpunk is set in a fictional icy-cold world, whose climate deeply affected the development of its society. To survive, people rely mostly on steam engines. However, it is not enough, and the society is falling apart, which means it needs to change. The gameplay focuses on the survival aspect, which, unlike in other such productions, means more than gathering and managing resources.

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

The second episode of StarCraft II, a space real-time strategy trilogy by Blizzard Entertainment. The title was distributed as an expansion and requires StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty in order to work. The story campaign is focused on the race of Zerg led by Sara Kerrigan, a character from the original StarCraft, who seeks revenge on the Terran emperor, Arcturus Mengsk. In subsequent missions, we will also encounter other famous characters, such as Jim Raynor, the ghost of Nova, and Matt Horner.

The add-on introduces five new civilizations (Huns, The Maya, Aztecs, Koreans, and Spaniards), each having its own campaign based on historical events, starring numerous heroes known from history books, including Attila the Hun, El Cid, and Montezuma. The Conquerors adds a number of new battle units, including halberdiers, Korean turtle boats, or various Aztec and Mayan warriors.

Heroes of Might & Magic III: HD Edition
