The list of new locations features the stronghold of Dol Guldur hiding countless dangers that the players have to face in groups of three, six, or twelve – the most prominent threat being the King of Nazguls.

The Lord of the Rings: The White Council is an unfinished project of a cRPG game in the realities of Tolkien's Mediterranean. According to the developers' assumptions, the plot was to present the events taking place 80 years before the outbreak of the War on the Ring, and the player would play the role of the title agent of the White Council. Work on the game was suspended in 2007.
