Darkest Dungeon (PSV)
RPG 27 September 2016
A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (PSV)
RPG 26 September 2013
Another installment in the popular Japanese RPG series developed by Nihon Falcom Corp. Once again, players get to travel to the land of Zemuria, more exactly to the territory known as Erebonia, where the Thors Military Academy is located. The school is attended by children of both gentry and common citizens – the exception being the 7th grade comprising only the main protagonists of the game. The action of the game is set during one school year, in which the students increase their skills, acquire military experience, and overcome the differences that divide them. The background of the story is filled with ever-growing tension in the society that might result in an outbreak of civil war. The plot of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel features a non-linear structure and is shaped by the decisions made by the players. In comparison to the previous installments in the series, this game stands out with its multiple improvements, the most prominent being the TPP perspective, which has replaced the typical for the series top down perspective. Additionally, the game features more dialogues and a modified combat system. Once again, battles are turn-based, however, they are more dynamic because of the combo system enabling players to mount spectacular and powerful attack sequences. Moreover, the choices a player makes throughout the game affect the combat efficiency of particular characters.

Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court (PSV)

The add-on utilizes the gameplay mechanics from the core game — you complete a team of heroes and set out to explore the eponymous Darkest Dungeon. Your goal is to find enormous riches, with which you can expand a shabby hamlet, also serving as your base. Like in the original Darkest Dungeon game, the characters of The Crimson Court suffer from typical human ailments — some of them may go berserk, while others may panic when surrounded by darkness. The game places a strong focus on blood, which is a theme connecting the items you find and your enemies. The expansion also marks the first appearance of vampires, creatures with a unique set of characteristics and abilities.
Regalia: Of Men And Monarchs (PSV)
A turn-based RPG focusing strongly on strategic aspects and created by Pixelated Milk - a Polish developer. Once the protagonist arrives in the place, it turns out that the entire land is ruined and the family was charged with a large debt. Kay decides to restore the ruined city to its magnificent state and take back the neighboring areas from the wildlife occupying them. The player's tasks are to construct buildings, gather resources, develop technologies and manage the land appropriately, so it can generate adequate amounts of money. Exploration, completing quests given by NPCs and turn-based combat are all of high importance here. The protagonist can be accompanied by four other characters with unique abilities, which can be developed alongside progression.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 Plus (PSV)
Strategy 03 December 2015
A side installment belonging to the legendary series of turn-based strategy games that use the name of Sid Meier as a trademark. While the previous Civilization Revolution was created mainly for the more popular home consoles, Revolution 2 was developed specifically for mobile device and PlayStation Vita owners. Similar to the previous installments, the game casts the player in the role of a leader in control of a civilization of their choice. The player's goal is to achieve global domination. The game begins in ancient times, with the player having little resources and few territories. Over time, the player develops technology, expands towns, recruits armies and obtains new territories - lands conquered have to be governed appropriately as well. Civilization Revolution 2 offers additional units, technologies, buildings, wonders, as well as previously unavailable leaders. What is also new, is the scenario mode, allowing the player to participate in various historical events, such as famous battles. The game offers three-dimensional visuals.
A stylish game developed by Team Colorblind, an independent studio based in Phoenix, AZ. The game combines elements of two seemingly incompatible video game genres – turn-based strategy and brawler. The story is set 20 years before Spanish Conquistadors came to America, and a player is tasked with expanding the Aztec empire, collecting taxes, and handling diverse randomly generated events. As far the game builds on the turn-based strategy convention, a player might have to use force to punish citizens who do not pay their taxes or slaughter everyone infected during an epidemic when all other attempts to cure them have failed. What is worth mentioning, the game is based on broad historical knowledge resulting from developers’ passion, who implemented into the game over 30 Aztec cities and different types of Aztec warriors, all of which makes for a faithful representation of the authentic locations and factual units. Aztez features an original, monochromatic visuals brought to life only by the red color of the blood gushing all over player’s screen.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II (PSV)
RPG 25 September 2014
A continuation to a jRPG bearing the same title; the game is part of a larger universe from the The Legend of Heroes series. Trails of Cold Steel II begins a month after the events depicted in the first installment. The civil war in Erebonia outbroke for good. Rean's goals are to find the remaining students from the Seventh Grade, as well as to put an end to the bloody conflict, which has torn the protagonist's native country apart. Although the experience is based on the gameplay formula of the previous installment, the creators decided to introduce a few changes. The so-called ''Tactical Link System'', which provided new combos and other tactical abilities used in conjunction with other characters with whom the protagonist has established relationships, appears in this game in the company of the new, ''Overdrive Mode'', which allows the linked team-members to incessantly perform attacks during even up to 3 turns in a row. Exploration was improved as well - the player traverses the extensive locations on foot, aboard a modifiable airship, on horseback, or by a motorcycle. Furthermore, the protagonist can recruit allies from among NPCs scattered throughout the game world. The game comes with decent-quality graphics inspired by anime cartoons.

The game employs a dynamic turn-based combat system, resembling the one used in early Final Fantasy games or the said Chrono Trigger. Once the player has refilled a special meter, they gain access to different boosts.
The Banner Saga (PSV)
Inspired by the Nordic mythology, a cRPG developed by the independent studio Stoic, whose members worked on, for example, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Set in fantasy realities, the gameplay combines adventure and RPG elements with a turn-based combat system. With game's progress, your party gains experience and becomes more and more powerful. World of Final Fantasy (PSV)
RPG 25 October 2016
A spin-off to the popular jRPG series created by Square Enix. World of Final Fantasy was created with younger players in mind. What’s interesting, Grimoire has been divided into two dimensions: in the first of them, the characters look normal, while in the second one they assume the sweet form of chibi. The main characters of the story are Rain and Lon, twins who fulfill their great destiny, experiencing various adventures. When it comes to mechanics, the title is similar to the previous entries in the series, including typical exploration segments and turn-based enemy encounters making use of the Active Time Battle system. Nevertheless, the whole gameplay has been somewhat simplified in order not to scare away the younger players. An interesting feature of the game are the taming mechanics, with animals acquired this way helping us during encounters.
