RPG canceled

Inspired by the Nordic mythology, a cRPG developed by the independent studio Stoic, whose members worked on, for example, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The action takes us to a world where fratricidal bloodshed between the gods led to chaos and wars. This is an "on the road" type of story, divided into two main plot branches, telling the stories of two Viking parties trying to escape from the threat posed by a mysterious, stone-like race called the Dredge, born as the result of gods’ experiments.

The fifth installment of a classic series of point and click adventure games whose origins can be traced back to 1996. The player travels around the planet while leading a pair of heroes that solve the puzzles of old. The game was developed thanks to a crowdfunding campaign at Kickstarter.

RPG 15 August 2017

An old-school RPG from the independent developer Toby Fox, referencing the Earthbound series. Undertale's story takes place in a world that was witness to a lengthy, cruel war between humans and monsters after a long period of coexistence between both races. It ended with humans driving the monsters underground.

RPG canceled

A turn-based RPG focusing strongly on strategic aspects and created by Pixelated Milk - a Polish developer. The player is taken to a peaceful fantasy world and assumes the role of Kay Loren - a young nobleman whose father reveals on his deathbed the existence of a distant land belonging to their family. Once the protagonist arrives in the place, it turns out that the entire land is ruined and the family was charged with a large debt.

Classic point-and-click adventure developed by Double Fine studio, which was led by Tim Schaffer himself - a true legend of the industry and co-author of such cult titles as Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango. The plot of the game focuses on two seemingly unrelated characters. One of them is Vella, who lives in a small village and is to be sacrificed to a certain monster in order to ensure the safety of the remaining inhabitants of the settlement.

RPG canceled

An independent retro RPG, which combines elements of a detective game and a horror. The main protagonist of Pixel Noir is trying to solve a mystery of the tragic events from a decade ago when his partner died, leading to him quitting work as a police officer, as he unjustly was sentenced to jail. After being released, he begins to work as a private detective and tries to solve minor cases, until finally, he finds a lead that might help him get the answers that have been taunting him for years.

An original action game set in a cyberpunk world and created by Dreadlocks - an independent, Czech studio. Dex mingles elements of classic platformers with role-playing mechanics; it was inspired by classic arcade titles, as well as the works of William Gibson. The game is set in Harbor Prime, where luxurious districts stand in contrast to the filth the poor live in. The player has to face a mysterious AI that has broken loose and wishes to make irreversible changes.

Strategy canceled

A digital adaptation of the strategy board game created by American company GMT Games. Twilight Struggle takes place during the Cold War and the player assumes the role of a leader of one of the two empires – USA or USSR. The game is played in turns on a global map. The rivaling sides are playing with cards that trigger events beneficial for one, either, or neither side of the conflict.

Arcade canceled

The Hero Trap is an independent dungeon crawler game in the realities of fantasy. We go through deeper and deeper levels of the underground, fighting monsters and searching for treasures. Production is characterized by random generation of locations and the ability to instantly switch between different characters, equipped with different features and abilities.

RPG canceled

A third person action-RPG created by Elemental-Labs - an independent developer. Reborn is set in an alternative, cyberpunk vision of 2188's Japan. The protagonist is called Musashi Miyamoto, and he is a futuristic equivalent of a ronin. His main enemy are the Nexus Roku corporation and its female CEO who is trying to release an ancient demon. The game world is dark, full of social inequality and rivaling cartels.

Mighty No. 9 is an arcade platformer developed in 2.5D by the experienced Japanese developer Comcept; the title draws inspiration from the renowned Mega Man series. The storyline is focused on the character of mighty Beck, the only robot who resisted an extremely dangerous virus, which arouses aggression among mechanical beings. It is the task of our protagonist to eliminate the danger and return the order to the world of the robots. The gameplay mechanics in Mighty No.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is an action-adventure platform game set in a gothic horror setting. The game is a spiritual successor to the Castlevania series. The person in charge of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was Koji Igarashi, who previously worked on the Castlevania series over the course of many years. The game revolves around exploring a large castle, which is crawling with demons the players need to fight against, you also develop your character and gather items.

First person shooter with elements of corguelike in woksel graphic design. In the game we eliminate more than 40 types of opponents and bosses, gradually gaining better armor and weapons. The game takes place on procedurally generated maps, and each death of the hero is final and means that you have to start playing from the beginning.

Xeno Crisis is a retro top-down shooter, originally developed for the SEGA Mega Drive console. The game, which is the responsibility of the independent Bitmap Bureau, offers a local cooperative game, in which you have to face the aliens together with another player.

The Deer God is an original platform game with roguelike and RPG elements, developed by the independent studio Cinopt Studios in cooperation with Crescent Moon Games. We observe the action from a side-scrolling perspective and play as a hunter who was reborn as a deer. From now on, his most important goal is to survive in a hostile environment. He will also have to do some quests, like growing old, achieving a godlike karma balance, or finding every statuette of knowledge.

A two-dimensional arcade platformer with RPG features from Discord Games studio. Chasm tells a story of a soldier who returns home after a long war. He arrives in an abandoned mining town and discovers most of its inhabitants have disappeared after entering a mysterious temple, deep down beneath the village. Our hero decides to stop the awakened evil, rescue the town’s inhabitants, and then safely return to his home.

Space shooter in good old style. The game allows you to play the role of a young pilot taking part in World War IV. The authors have prepared an extensive one-person campaign, a tower defense mode and extensive multiplayer options for playing online.

A game developed by American studio Disastercake. The title was inspired by classic jRPG games released on the first generation of PlayStation consoles. Soul Saga takes place in a fantasy realm called Oterra which was devastated by a powerful cataclysm and then gradually conquered by hostile monsters known as Inkheart. Thirty years earlier the forces of evil were stopped by the grand alchemist who created a magic barrier impenetrable for the monsters.

Inspired by Japanese horrors and the rich culture of the Land of the Cherry Blossom, this is an adventure game with strong sneaky accents. As a book collector, we find ourselves on the gloomy island of Kodok, where, as the trail indicates, a rare bibliophile specimen has been hidden. The deserted place turns out to be the habitat of demons, and our task will be to survive and find an escape route from the island.

A classic, two-dimensional platformer considered a representative of the metroidvania genre, developed by Lunar Ray Games that was founded by a former employee of Microsoft and Bungie Software. The story of Timespinner is set in the fantasy universe of Ernah, created by the developer in the days of his youth. During the game we play the part a young girl named Lunaris, whose village was destroyed by invaders from another planet.

An independent action-adventure game developed by Yanim Studio. We assume the role of Divine, a goddess tormented by an unknown malicious entity. To get to the bottom of the problem, the heroine embarks to explore the Planet, a living being representing her psyche. This unusual world is divided into two zones: neutral, consisting of the planet’s surface, and dark, known as the underworld, guarded by terrifying bosses.

An adventure game enriched by elements characteristic of visual novels. Exogenesis: Perils of Rebirth takes place in post-apocalyptic Japan. The player assumes the role of a member of a treasure hunter group, who searches for an ancient artifact that can resurrect his dead sister. To find the treasure, the protagonist has to gather a team of similar adventurers, and embark on the dangerous journey. The developers were mainly inspired by games such as Zero Escape or the Ace Attorney series.

RPG canceled

An old-school 2D role-playing game by the independent Canadian studio, Kitfox Games. The action of Moon Hunters takes place in the ancient, fantastical land of Mercuria, where the Moon is regarded as a holy entity and the source of all life. When it does not rise one day, monsters awaken in its absence, and the adventurers of Mercuria join their forces in order to solve the mystery.

Futuristic races in which we sit at the helm of a solar-powered ship gliding through the endless world towards the title sun. The game is characterized by minimalist binding, procedurally generated stages and excellent flight physics.
