Darkest Dungeon (PSV)
RPG 27 September 2016
A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. While exploring ruins of an old castle and its dungeons, you face off against forces of darkness that overwhelmed the land because of the reckless actions of its previous sovereign. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. Therefore, while playing you should keep an eye on their well being and fear levels, alleviating their stress by drinking alcohol or brawling, if needed.
RPG 15 August 2017
An old-school RPG from the independent developer Toby Fox, referencing the Earthbound series. Undertale's story takes place in a world that was witness to a lengthy, cruel war between humans and monsters after a long period of coexistence between both races. It ended with humans driving the monsters underground. Many years later, somewhere in the vicinity of the now-legendary mount Ebott, a little girl looking for shelter from the rain finds a cave and in it a mysterious hole, through which she falls. We play as this girl and explore the underground world, facing various monsters and interacting with various characters. The game’s most characteristic feature is the innovative battle system – we can engage in direct combat in the form of arcade minigames or avoid more difficult fights through talking and complimenting.

Hinako, the protagonist, is an ordinary girl who attends high-school, but one day she is taken to an alternative dimension inhabited by dangerous monsters. Arcade 26 May 2017
A third-person view adventure game developed by Tequila Works studio from Spain, which successfully debuted in 2012 with a post-apocalyptic platformer Deadlight. During the course of the game you will solve numerous puzzles, using a magical artifact that allows you to manipulate the environment and time. The title, despite being an action game also includes many platformer elements. The hero travels through an open world, climbs craggy cliffs, and jumps over chasms. Apart from being skilled, you also have to be perceptive, as light, sound, and touch (thanks to the technology offered by PS Vita and DUALSHOCK 4) play a vital role in Rime. The game features a 3D environment, colorful visuals, and a comic book-like visual style.
Regalia: Of Men And Monarchs (PSV)
A turn-based RPG focusing strongly on strategic aspects and created by Pixelated Milk - a Polish developer. Once the protagonist arrives in the place, it turns out that the entire land is ruined and the family was charged with a large debt. Kay decides to restore the ruined city to its magnificent state and take back the neighboring areas from the wildlife occupying them. The player's tasks are to construct buildings, gather resources, develop technologies and manage the land appropriately, so it can generate adequate amounts of money. Exploration, completing quests given by NPCs and turn-based combat are all of high importance here. The protagonist can be accompanied by four other characters with unique abilities, which can be developed alongside progression.

We also meet many famous characters and get some mythical artifacts that help us fight in various ways. The first two parts in the series that comprise the God of War Collection have been refreshed by Bluepoint Games studio, now supporting 720p resolution and 60 FPS. The gameplay comes down to exploring subsequent areas of the city, rescuing its endangered inhabitants and fighting monsters called Nevi that were summoned by storm, with the last activity coming down to finding their weak points. Salt and Sanctuary (PSV)
RPG 28 March 2017
A dark 2D platformer with RPG elements, developed by the team of Ska Studios, known for its original and equally brutal productions The Dishwasher and Charlie Murder. In Salt and Sanctuary we take on the form of a pirate whose ship crashes near a mysterious island inhabited by hordes of drowned and their powerful masters. By eliminating hordes of enemies and bosses the protagonist gradually discovers the secrets of the island, and thanks to the raw materials he acquires, such as gold and salt, develops his equipment and skills when visiting safe enclaves (titular sanctuaries). The hero has a considerable range of weapons and magic skills at his disposal, and the key element is the proper selection, because too much unnecessary equipment negatively affects the protagonist's mobility and special abilities. The game features an extremely gloomy atmosphere and hand-drawn artwork, typical for the studio's early productions.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II (PSV)
RPG 25 September 2014
A continuation to a jRPG bearing the same title; the game is part of a larger universe from the The Legend of Heroes series. Trails of Cold Steel II begins a month after the events depicted in the first installment. The civil war in Erebonia outbroke for good. Rean's goals are to find the remaining students from the Seventh Grade, as well as to put an end to the bloody conflict, which has torn the protagonist's native country apart. Although the experience is based on the gameplay formula of the previous installment, the creators decided to introduce a few changes. The so-called ''Tactical Link System'', which provided new combos and other tactical abilities used in conjunction with other characters with whom the protagonist has established relationships, appears in this game in the company of the new, ''Overdrive Mode'', which allows the linked team-members to incessantly perform attacks during even up to 3 turns in a row. Exploration was improved as well - the player traverses the extensive locations on foot, aboard a modifiable airship, on horseback, or by a motorcycle. Furthermore, the protagonist can recruit allies from among NPCs scattered throughout the game world. The game comes with decent-quality graphics inspired by anime cartoons.
Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon (PSV)
RPG 31 August 2017
A sequel to the action RPG from the Japanese studio Gust. Nights of Azure 2 lets us revisit the dark fantasy world, in which humanity rules only by daylight, while night belongs to demonic minions of the Night Lord. However, we won’t see any old faces from first game, as the second game focuses on completely new characters. Players take role of Ashule, a warrior who dies while trying to defend her friend Liliana from a powerful demon and is reborn as half-demonic being. Her main objective is to find and rescue Liliana. Similarly to its predecessor, Nights of Azure 2 is a typical hack and slash with an arcade battle system and TPP view. As she gets more experience, Ashule will unlock more skills and get more powerful in the process. She can also be helped by female companions, and the more often she does that, the stronger bond she creates with them. This in turn lets her learn new powers or unlock news quests.
Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court (PSV)
RPG 23 August 2017
The first expansion for the 2016 dungeon crawler RPG Darkest Dungeon by Red Hook Studios. The add-on utilizes the gameplay mechanics from the core game — you complete a team of heroes and set out to explore the eponymous Darkest Dungeon. Your goal is to find enormous riches, with which you can expand a shabby hamlet, also serving as your base. Like in the original Darkest Dungeon game, the characters of The Crimson Court suffer from typical human ailments — some of them may go berserk, while others may panic when surrounded by darkness. The game places a strong focus on blood, which is a theme connecting the items you find and your enemies. The expansion also marks the first appearance of vampires, creatures with a unique set of characteristics and abilities.
Soul Sacrifice (PSV)
Action 07 March 2013
A brutal dark fantasy third-person action game developed under the supervision of an industry legend and the co-creator of Mega Man, Keiji Inafune. When the protagonist is to be sacrificed, he is saved from certain death by the appearance of a demonic tome describing the story of his foster father. Sucked into the pages of the book, he has to fight all the battles the warlock has fought by facing people turned by magic into foul monsters. The gameplay boils down mainly to killing subsequent hordes of enemies and offers an extensive combat system that allows us to perform various attacks, make use of a wide arsenal of weapons, and to use the environment to our advantage. It is complemented by an incredibly original magic system that requires the player character to sacrifice parts of his body.
Hand of Fate (PSV)

A unique fantasy mix of a card game, a board game and an RPG title. We traverse dungeons, fighting monsters and collecting treasures, but not like in typical role-playing games. Everything happens on a virtual table, with us playing a card game in front of The Dealer. We travel through locations by moving a pawn representing our hero on the table and revealing cards that depict enemies, NPCs, locations, and other elements that make our adventure. When we face an enemy, we are taken to a three-dimensional environment and control the hero like in any other TPP action-RPG title. As befits a card game, Hand of Fate isn’t lacking the option of building one’s deck, consisting of parts of equipment, special attacks, and other bonuses gained during game.
Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom (PSV)
Action 16 February 2016

The plot is based on the comic books and takes us to grim, post-apocalyptic world, in which the remnants of humanity enclosed themselves in a series of towering walls after being nearly driven to extinction by gigantic Titans. Unlike the previous production based on the Attack on Titan franchise – a visual novel, which is a genre rather unpopular in western countries – this time we receive a pure action game, concentrating mainly on the fights themselves. The game implements high quality 3D visuals, which use the cel shading technology to emphasize comic origins of the game.
The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series - Season 1 (PSV)

The Wolf Among Us was developed by Telltale Games, studio that used the same mechanics as in its previous title, The Walking Dead. During the game the player can encounter many characters known from the comic books – including the Big Bad Wolf, Snow White or Ichabod Crane. The gameplay is focused mostly on visiting locations, conversing with NPCs, solving riddles and making hard decisions. The Wolf Among Us employs comic book-like visuals and, as usual, cel-shading.

We still receive a dynamic action game with RPG features, with its story taking place three years after the previous installment. We traverse the land as a nameless hero and eliminate large beasts. An arcade battle system stresses out on player’s reflexes, and it is well-advised to come with proper tactic before facing enemies. Each of them has different strong and weak points, finding which is the key to success. Heroes can use a vast arsenal of giant weapons, tied to certain combat styles and tactic. Aside from single player campaign, God Eater 2: Rage Burst offers cooperation mode for three players.

As a young warrior, the player will face the golems, each of which is challenging in a different way. The monsters have their strong and weak points and learning about them is the key to victory in the duels.
