Seventh major installment in the cult series of survival horrors created by Capcom and launched in year 1996 on the PlayStation console. Subsequent parts of this long-standing series concentrate on a battle the humanity wages against a deadly virus which transforms those it infects into bloodthirsty monsters. The players accompany several characters who appeared in various installments of Resident Evil over the years as well as in many side installments. The game, being faithful to tradition, shows the action in third person perspective and the gameplay is based on exploration, fighting enemies and solving occasional logical puzzles. The game has a horror atmosphere which, across subsequent installments in the series, was gradually reduced in favor of action elements. Resident Evil 7 combines the best aspects of the old and new installments and is the first main Resident Evil game created for the eight generation consoles.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR (PS4)

A special version of the fifth installment in the popular RPG series by Bethesda, created for VR headgear and motion controllers. The plot of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR does not differ from that in the original version of the game. The story takes place in a fantasy world, which is threatened by dragons, led by Alduin. You play as the last Dovahkiin, a being that can speak dragon language, which makes them the only one capable of stopping the oncoming apocalypse. In terms of technical aspect, the game is based on the Special Edition of the production and, compared to the original, features e.g. improved lighting, higher resolution textures, and previously unavailable visual effects. What changed most is the combat system: you aim by moving your head and attack by using motion controllers, transferring your moves onto your character.
Don't Knock Twice (PS4)

A horror game developed by the independent studio Wales Interactive, which was inspired by an urban legend of a demonic witch. The protagonist, searching for her lost daughter, is led to a grim mansion that hides a dark secret. In Don’t Knock Twice, the action is presented from the first-person perspective, while the gameplay is focused on exploration of the vast house in search of carefully hidden hints as well as fighting encountered opponents with the use of various items. In case of powerful enemies, the protagonist has to flee, and with caution, in order not to be attacked by surprise — the game is full of so-called jump scares. The production is characterized by high-quality three-dimensional graphics and an atmospheric soundtrack. Moreover, the title supports VR headsets but doesn’t require them in order to work.
Bloody Zombies (PS4)

A beat’em up title with side view developed by independent studio of Paw Print Games. Bloody Zombies is set in a London infested with the plague of titular undead. The only hope for the city comes in form of four heroes who have nothing to lose and so they try to clear streets of the metropolis using their fists and more or less improvised weapons. We move towards a right side of the screen while eliminating hordes of enemies, with obviously outstanding and powerful mutated bosses. Battle system is based on brutal and effective attacks that can create more powerful combos. However, the key to success is using surrounding objects along with active and passive powers of each hero. We can play both by ourselves and in cooperation mode for up to four players. All of this is presented in two-dimensional, cartoonish visuals.

Chernobyl VR Project is an extraordinary exploration game, which utilizes virtual reality to take the players into the ruins of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as the city of Pripyat. Chernobyl VR Project has been developed by The Farm 51 – the studio known for such games as Get Even, Deadfall Adventures, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation or the NecroVision series. This is an interactive story of the fate that befell the citizens of the city, and areas around the power plant, most severely affected with the disaster. Instead of fighting mutants, the player roams the desolate locations and examines encountered items, left behind by the inhabitants in 1986. Aboard a spaceship, the player defends the company's resources against rebels that try to sabotage actions of the UTC. The player controls a combat ship and fights their foes while observing the events from the first-person view. The game uses the player's body movements, as one targets their enemies here by moving their head. The player makes use of an extensive weaponry that above all, includes laser guns and rocket launchers. Completing subsequent contracts, the player gradually climbs the military ladder, gaining access to both completely new weapons and different upgrades increasing the player's combat potential. End Space comes with high-quality visuals - what is especially worth noticing, are advanced special effects and detailed ship models.

The game was developed by the German team at Crytek (famous for the best-selling Crysis series) and designed to support virtual reality technology. The story is set on an unknown distant planet combining tropical flora with prehistoric fauna embodied by powerful dinosaurs. The surface of the planet is littered with remnants of technologically advanced but now extinct civilization. The player takes control of a small boy, the sole survivor of a spaceship crash. He has to explore the mysterious land through his adventures and interactions with the environment. The game stands out with the latest generation of CryEngine ensuring high-quality visuals that put this game ahead of the majority of games supporting VR goggles.

First-person perspective horror game designed for virtual reality headsets and a prequel to the other work of Supermassive Games studio, Until Dawn. We play as patient of Blackwood Pines Sanatorium mental hospital, 60 years before events of the previous game. Protagonist is tormented by nightmares and can’t remember how he got here. He must unveil the grim mystery of this place, but the fact he keeps getting injected with all sorts of medicaments that cause him to get experience visions. The Inpatient lets us experience horrifying scenes, explore dark locations and interact with characters we meet. There are also decisions to make during crucial moments of the story that affect how it develops. The Inpatient focuses on immersion, using FPP view and letting us choose dialogue options by reading aloud one of a few available on the screen.
Rigs: Mechanized Combat League (PS4)

A first-person shooter by Guerllia Games, developed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. The action of Rigs: Mechanized Combat League takes place in the future, and the players take part in the eponymous futuristic sport tournament, sitting in the cockpits of armored mechs and fighting one another on special arenas. Generally, the gameplay combines elements of arena FPS with basketball. The participants compete for points which are scored where they manage to jump through a big band at the right moment. To achieve this, though, it is necessary to clear the way to the goal with the use of the available weapons. At the same time, we have to prevent the enemy from reaching our own goal. There are 20 kinds of fast and agile mechs at players’ disposal. Each of these is suited for slightly different sort of play. The game features a single player campaign but multiplayer matches remain at its core.
Gang Beasts (PS4)
A multiplayer-focused joke arcade game created by Boneloaf, an indie studio from the Great Britain. More precisely, this is an unusual brawler, in which character physics plays a key role. You control colorful little men whose animations are procedurally generated as you play. The gameplay focuses on melee combat, including punching, kicking, throwing your opponents off ledges or pushing them into traps. The game offers several diverse locations, where you can hurt enemies using elements of environment, such as scaffolds, or running trucks, to add to the base moveset. The game’s visuals are minimalistic – the environments comprise of simple, untextured geometric shapes featuring little to no detail. The game offers several modes of local and online competitive multiplayer (solo or in a team). You can also compete against AI or play in the sandbox mode.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)
An arcade flight simulator and continuation of the popular series published by Bandai Namco. Like its predecessors, Ace Combat 7 is set in alternative timeline, in which there are different countries, and humans have constructed unique flying units. Game focuses on the story, which we learn both through events during missions and many cutscenes. The gameplay is mostly arcade, with only a few simulation’s features. Due to that, realism has to move over and make space for dynamic and eye-catching sky fights, including battles with powerful bosses. Each available plane flies slightly differently, resulting in a more varied experience. Ace Combat 7 offers a story campaign for one player and multiplayer mode. Developers made use of Unreal Engine 4 and also added support of PlayStation VR goggles.

A first-person action game and at the same time a peculiar superhero simulator - Megaton Rainfall is a debut project developed by the independent Spanish Pentadimensional Games. The action of the game is set more or less in the modern times when Earth falls victim to an invasion of aliens who want to exterminate all humans. A player assumes the role of an immortal superhero exhibiting supernatural abilities. He is tasked with facing the alien aggressors. Players observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay revolves around the exploration of the open world, completing various missions, and fighting hordes of enemies. On his way, the player is bound to encounter armed spaceships, as well as more powerful mechanical walkers. Due to his supernatural strength, the main protagonist can demolish the city infrastructure, hover in mid-air, and fly faster than the speed of light. The game is compatible with the Virtual Reality headgear; however, it is not necessary in order to play Megaton Rainfall.

The game requires the PlayStation VR headgear and utilizes the PlayStation Move motion controllers, as well as a simplified rifle called PlayStation VR Aim Controller. The game is set in the far future, in which interplanetary flights are a part of daily life. The ship carrying the protagonist crashes on an alien world. It quickly turns out that the planet is inhabited by hostile creatures resembling giant insects. The protagonist has to fight for survival. Farpoint focuses on exploring your surroundings and fighting the encountered enemies. You use the rifle not only to eliminate your foes, but also to scan the nearby areas. Compared to other FPS games, the gameplay is quite slow. The game features high-quality 3D visuals.

A simulation game designed for virtual reality sets, taking us to Himalayas where we conquer the summit of the highest mountain in the world. Production was developed by Icelandic Sólfar Studios collaborating with RVX team, responsible for special effects in the Baltasar Kormáruk movie, Everest. Project was supported financially by many Scandinavian institutions. EVEREST VR lets us experience the beauty of the journey while traveling through five iconic scenes: preparing our expedition at the basecamp, traversing the dangerous Khumbu Icefalls, spending the night in a transition camp, ascending the nearly vertical Hilary Step to finally reach the summit of Everest. Producers took special care to achieve a proper balance between pure simulation and enjoyable experience, making it attractive for a large group of recipients. Visuals were created by using dual imaging photogrammetry and the stunning photos taken while directing the Everest movie.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS4)

A spin-off to the well-received horror game Until Dawn. This installment is a typical rail shooter developed with PlayStation VR goggles in mind. During the game player assumes the role of a passenger of an automatically moving cart. One uses the cart to travel through various locations filled with different opponents. As per genre's tradition, the player is tasked with quick and effective elimination of everything that moves. In addition to enemies, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is also filled with typical jump-scares that resemble the ones used in amusement parks. The VR goggles improve the immersion of the game – thanks to them the players can feel as if they were personally participating in the events shown on the screen.

A logic puzzle game by Oasis Games, known from many mobile, web-based, and PC productions, such as Tiger Knight: Empire War. You play as a divine being, who helps a princess in climbing a dangerous tower. You make her task easier by showing her the way with a special wand. You can also manipulate the surroundings, turning maps right and left, raising or moving platforms, etc. The gameplay focuses mostly on exploration and solving puzzles, but at the end of each level you have to fight a boss, such as an evil snowman or stone giant. Those battles require you to be clever and dexterous. Light Tracer features only a singleplayer mode with no option to team up with other players to solve the puzzles together. The game utilizes VR technology, requiring the PlayStation VR goggles and a PlayStation 4 console.

An experimental, three-dimensional platformer offering an abstract, alluring game world. Bound is the third project developed by Plastic - a Polish team popular for a dark adventure game Datura and an artistic logic game Linger in Shadows. Similar to these titles, Bound was created exclusively for PlayStation 4 and it was developed in cooperation with Sony Santa Monica (the God of War series). Although the game is hard to classify, calling it simply a three-dimensional platformer is a relatively accurate description. Special emphasis was placed on puzzle solving, which is done together with other players. When creating the game world, the developers were inspired by works of abstract art from the beginning of the twentieth century - the player observes lively colors contrasting with one another, as well as simple blocks the virtual environments are made of. Additionally, certain elements of the in-game world are generated procedurally. Motion-capture techniques with the participation of Maria Udod (a professional, Russian dancer) were used in creation of character animations for the game.

A first-person perspective action-adventure game stylized as a survival horror. Allison Road had a somewhat complicated development cycle, with previous developers (Lilith) abandoning the project. However, a new studio, Far From Home, decided to pick-up the project and lead it to a stable release. The player assumes the role of an unidentified hero, who wakes up one night in a suburban home without having any recollection of the events of the last few days. Our protagonist, attempting to return to his family and discover what has happened, learns that the mansion has a grim backstory, while its walls are inhabited by dangerous, supernatural beings, including a ghost named Lilly. Our task is to avoid the monsters and survive five full nights in the grim house to explore it thoroughly and reveal its secrets. As our hero doesn’t have any weapons on him, Allison Road forces the player to use the environment around him to hide and lay traps.

Developed by Owlchemy Labs, a humorous simulation game designed with Augmented Reality in mind. This title can be classified as a joke sim, similar to Surgeon Simulator, I Am Bread, or Probably Archery. The game is set in the year 2050, when most humans’ tasks were handed down to specialized machines. In order to remind humanity that their ancestors used to work like this, a special simulation program was created to teach people of the future what true work used to mean. The game has no specific goals. As you play you pursue certain occupations, such as chef, shopkeeper, or office worker, allowing you to manipulate the objects around you. However, using them in the proper, intended way is not so easy, as the over the top physics make even the simplest actions challenging and hilarious at the same.
EVE: Valkyrie (PS4)

Multiplayer-focused space simulator set in a fictional universe created by Crowd Control Productions (CCP Games) for their MMO title, EVE Online. This game is set in the distant future, long after humans living in the New Eden solar system get separated from the rest of the universe because of the collapse of a wormhole leading back to the Milky Way. Isolated from their kinsmen, in time they split up into five opposing factions competing for resources and space for expansion. The game puts you in the cockpit of one of the fighters known from EVE Online and participate in space skirmishes. The gameplay was designed to reward skill of individual players, not the statistics of their characters. What is more, EVE: Valkyrie supports virtual reality headsets for an even more immersive experience.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: Blood Ties (PS4)

A single player expansion for Rise of the Tomb Raider. The players once again assume the role of the fearless archaeologist, Lara Croft. This time we must assist Lara in exploring her family estate. The heroine must prove that she is the rightful heir to the great fortune accumulated by her ancestors. In contrast to the basic game, action of Rise of the Tomb Raider: Blood Ties is limited solely to Croft Manor. Aside from the story, the game includes Lara’s nightmare, a special mode similar to various horde modes. The protagonist has to defend the manor against monsters taken out straight of her nightmares, using a wide variety of weapons. The expansion has been released in digital distribution, and as a part of a special edition: Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration. PlayStation 4 version includes support for PlayStation VR - virtual reality goggles.

Here They Lie is a dark, psychedelic experience that takes the player to a terrifying and slightly surrealistic world filled with various dangers. In contrast to other classic survival horrors, the game focuses on dark atmosphere and on fueling player's fear. During the game, the mind of the protagonist is filled with scary visions and many unusual characters stand on his way. The use of VR goggles serves to increases the immersion; the player feels as if he actually participates in the events presented in the game.

A racing game created by Artefacts Studio. It is the fourth full-fledged installment in a popular series developed by Delphine Software in the years 1997-2001. Moto Racer 4 remains faithful to the premise of the classic installments, focusing on a dynamic racing experience with arcade physics and paying no attention to the so-called fair-play. The player participates in subsequent motorcycle competitions divided into off-road and asphalt variants. In the latter, aspects such as traffic or collisions with opponents were taken into account. Within these two divisions, the player will find a wide set of characters - each represents a unique riding style. The game offers more than a few different modes and the overall number of them is quite impressive. The game includes many bike models created specifically for particular competitions: from classic cross bikes to high-power beasts belonging to the superbike category. What's more, the game features an extensive customization component - both the bikes and riders can be customized.
