Assassin's Creed Origins (PS4)
Action 27 October 2017
The seventh major installment in the Ubisoft's best-selling action game series. Plotwise, Assassin's Creed: Empire is a sort of prequel to the entire series, taking players so far back in time as none other installment did - to the ancient Egypt, long before the two opposing orders of Assassins and Templars were founded. Players play the part of a slave, a distant ancestor to Altair - the protagonist of the first Assassin's Creed. Concerning mechanics, the title does not differ significantly from previous installments of the series, still being primarily an adventure game, supplemented with action sequences and carefully planned assassinations. The game world was, of course, with reverence typical of the franchise, adapted to the new setting, bringing back things like the possibility to mount animals or use boats. On the technical side, Empire is said to avoid relying on the achievements of previous installments, while our area of activity is approximately three times larger than what was offered by Assassin's Creed IV.

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones (PS4)
Action 23 January 2018
First big DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Origins set many years after events from the base game. We play once again as Bayek, who this time goes to Sinai Peninsula and gets dragged into a conflict between Egyptian rebels and Roman occupants. This lets us witness another chapter in the history of Assassins’ Brotherhood, which rise we could see in the original title. Assassin’s Creed: Origin – The Hidden Ones doesn’t change any of game’s mechanics – the only thing that developers from Ubisoft Montreal have changed was increased amount of experience our character can earn. Other than that, the add-on focuses on introducing new arena, where we can find both main story’s missions and various side activities.

We talk with various characters and discover more and more secrets of the story, as well as tens of alternative paths, each of which might be filled with either great treasures or deadly traps. The game is complemented by a character progression and modification system that fits the genre’s standards.
Arcade 30 January 2018
A side-scrolling platformer based on classic premise and created as a result of a cooperation between the independent Fully Illustrated studio and the Darkwind Media company. The player is taken to 120 AD, when the forces of the Roman Empire invade the southern part of Britain. The player assumes the role of a fearless warrior by the name of Caradok, who decides to face the attackers on his own and violently ask them to leave. The player will explore eight extensive levels set in different environments, such as ancient forests, mountain streams, or Roman defense walls. The protagonist moves to the right throughout the game, eliminating hordes of enemies using a sword and a shield, as well as his fists and head. The visuals are slightly caricatural and cartoonish; the visual style features exaggerated character models and a large portion of brutality.
