A prequel to Life is Strange – an episodic adventure game developed by DONTNOD Entertainment. The new title was developed by Deck Nine Games and it enables the player to assume the role of Chloe Price, a character well known from the original game. The story presents how the protagonist met Rachel Amber and how the strong bond between two teenagers was born. It is worth mentioning that Chloe has no special abilities – this means that the choices made during the game cannot be changed. Life is Strange: Before the Storm focuses on gradually revealing pieces of the story and making various decisions that impact the plot. All other aspects of the game, like exploration, interactions with NPC and riddle solving, are secondary to the above mentioned elements. Similarly to the first entry in the series, the game has expressive graphics that features pastel colors.
Batman: The Telltale Series - The Enemy Within (PS4)

The second season of Batman: The Telltale Series, which debuted in 2016. In this adventure game by Telltale Games (the developers of such titles as The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series and The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series) the player follows the darker and darker story of Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter-ego. This time Batman has to challenge both Joker and Riddler as well as a merciless federal agent who has just came to the city of Gotham. The story is split into five episodes, the first one of which launched in August 2017. In the game you get to explore small locations, talk to characters met there, play through QTE sequences and, of course, make difficult moral decisions that determine how the story unfolds. Batman: The Telltale Series - The Enemy Within features actors that made the appearance in the first game. Batman is starred by Troy Baker, while his arch-nemesis Joker by Anthony Ingruber.

A sequel to a popular adventure game series created by the Belgian comic artist Benoit Sokal and Microids Studio, released over a decade after the second part. The story focuses on adventures of Kate Walker, a young lawyer, whose profession, in-born curiosity, and adventurousness get her entangled in a new mystery. Throughout the game, featuring classic point-and-click mechanics, you meet a whole menagerie of characters known from the previous installments in the series, as well as a cast of new heroes, including Still Life's protagonist and an FBI agent Victoria McPherson. Despite of using full 3D graphics that replaced hand drawn backgrounds, the game features the characteristic artwork style consistent with previous games.

A game by Telltale Games, the studio behind many others similar productions, designed as an episodic adventure game based on the HBO’s popular TV show Game of Thrones - an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books. The game features an original story overlapping with the events presented in the seasons 3-5 of the TV series. This six-part episodic story focuses on the House Forrester, whose members, although missing from the TV show, appeared in the fifth book of the saga. Known for ironwood trade, the Forresters are trying to survive the War of the Five Kings, while competing with House Whitehill. Gameplay employs the classic point-and-click mechanics. The game lets you visit many well-known locations from across both the Westeros and Essos continents, and observe the events from the perspective of several characters whose actions have direct impact on the fate of the two families.

The third full-fledged season of the popular series of episodic adventure games developed by Telltale Games based on the cult comics and TV series, The Walking Dead. The mechanics of the game are similar as in previous installments of the series and they concentrate on exploration and conversations with non-playable characters. In difference to classic adventure games, The Walking Dead: Season Three lacks typical puzzles and the focus is on making various moral choices which are the main factor that shapes the story of the game. A new feature in the game is a special system that allows moving saved games between various platforms. It is possible to import saves from Season Two and continue the plots started there with all consequences of the choices previously made.

Another episodic adventure game developed by the experienced American studio Telltale Games, who had produced many highly acclaimed video games based on famous films, books, and comic books, such as Back to the Future, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones. Batman: A Telltale Game Series takes you into the grim city of Gotham, however, unlike Rocksteady’s popular action game series, Telltale Games’ production focuses on Bruce Wayne himself, showing his moral dilemmas and the burden imposed on him by the constant fight against corruption and crime. In terms of gameplay the title does not stray far from the studio’s previous productions. As always, the key element of gameplay is making tough choices that influence the way the story unfolds – and not just within one chapter but across the entire season.

An episodic adventure game set in the universe of the Gearbox Software’s Borderlands series. This title was developed by Telltale Games studio that specializes in this genre. Story-wise, the game follows the plot started in Borderlands 2, following two characters: Fiona, a con artist, and Rhys, an employee of the Hyperion corporation equipped with cybernetic implants. The game’s goal is to remove the discrepancies within the story stemming from the mixed narrative of the two protagonists. Gameplay is rather unique, as the player’s main role is to make choices that determine how the story unfolds. In addition, the game features several elements typical of the Borderlands series, such as shooting sequences and moments to display the characters' unique skills – manipulating people and hacking.

An episodic adventure game based on the popular Fables comic book series. The Wolf Among Us was developed by Telltale Games, studio that used the same mechanics as in its previous title, The Walking Dead. The protagonists are fairy creatures that were forced to look for a safe haven in the human world where they must hide their true nature. During the game the player can encounter many characters known from the comic books – including the Big Bad Wolf, Snow White or Ichabod Crane. The gameplay is focused mostly on visiting locations, conversing with NPCs, solving riddles and making hard decisions. The Wolf Among Us employs comic book-like visuals and, as usual, cel-shading.

The main theme of The Walking Dead: Season One revolves around a dramatic struggle for survival in a world infested by zombies. The player assumes the role of Lee Everett, one of the few survivors. The gameplay emphasizes exploration, dialogues, collecting items, and puzzle solving. The most significant feature are in-game moral choices the protagonist has to make, and whose consequences are often made visible only after some time. The developers created a highly interactive environment to give the players a good degree of freedom in puzzle solving. The Walking Dead: Season One catches the eye with its comic-like style, achieved with cel shading.

A point-and-click adventure game created by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick. The players are taken to the titular Thimbleweed Park - once a prosperous business area, now definitely past its prime. The player takes on the roles of five characters in total throughout this adventure and is capable of switching between them at any time. The characters present are a stronger feature of this game - apart from others, the player assumes the role of Ransome - a clown suffering from a curse which makes him unable to get rid of his stage make-up. Franklin is another of the characters the player will be in control of in this game; one day, he (Franklin) discovers that he has died. The player will also assume control of two detectives investigating a case of a body found nearby; Dolores on the other hand, needs to read the testament of her rich uncle. When it comes to the story, the creators mixed a unique taste in humor with different possible endings. All of this is complemented by visuals modeled after LucasArts' classics, as well as an interface resembling the legendary SCUMM system.

An old-school murder mystery point-and-click adventure game, developed by a veteran of the genre, the French company Microids. Production is based on a novel by Agatha Christie under the same title and is the first installment in a planned game series describing the adventures of a famous sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Plot of the Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders starts when the detective receives a letter from a serial killer, who identifies himself as A.B.C., in which he informs of the date and place of his next crime. When the panic begins to spread in the society, the task of capturing the guilty, falls, of course, on the shoulders of our protagonist. Title employs a third person view, and during the game we visit successive locations, investigate crime scenes, collect evidence, interrogate witnesses, and solve subsequent criminal puzzles. The game features a colorful, slightly cartoonish visual style.

A typical point-and-click adventure game and a continuation to 2012's Yesterday. Yesterday Origins was developed by the creators of the original game - the Spanish Pendulo Studios. Again, the player takes on the role of John Yesterday; as for the plot, it was divided into two timelines. Thus the player, familiar with present-day events, is taken back to the era of the Spanish Inquisition. In terms of game mechanics, the game follows the pattern of its predecessor. The player explores the in-game locations, talks to NPCs, gathers items and solves various puzzles for the most part. Contrary to the first installment however, Yesterday Origins is a fully 3D title, though the creators have once again managed to convey the characteristic atmosphere of the original game through application of the specific, cartoonish art style.
King's Quest (PS4)

An episodic point-and-click adventure game, and the ninth major installment in the cult King’s Quest series, whose last part was released 17 years ago. This game was developed by The Odd Gentlemen (known for The Adventures of P.B. Winterbottom), while the development process was supervised by the original creators of the franchise from the reactivated Sierra Studios. The game’s story is built around a series of flashbacks. The player assumes the role of the old king Graham, who tells his granddaughter, Gwendolyn, of the fantastic adventures from his youth, which eventually led him to the throne of Daventry. Despite employing 3D graphics, the game mechanics takes after the classic installments in the series, focusing on exploration, dialogues, and puzzle solving. The game also features platform sequences, in which the hero has to jump over chasms and avoid various traps.

A sequel to a critically acclaimed 2009's adventure game developed by Daedalic Entertainment. The player assumes the role of a sixteen-year-old boy called Noah, who has been searching for the sister he lost during a war. Following her, the protagonist enters the world of dreams known as Silence, where he puts on the costume of a clown by the name of Sadwick - the protagonist of the original game. It turns out that even the magical land is being torn apart by a war. Noah joins a group of rebels fighting the mysterious False Queen. It is an introduction to a fantastic journey filled with secrets and deeply moving moments. The game is based on mechanics of the classic point-and-click adventure titles, supplementing the formula with several innovative features. The largest noticeable difference between the sequel and the original game marked by the fact that Silence: The Whispered World 2 features three-dimensional visuals, offering a fairytale-like atmosphere.

The action begins 30 years after a huge nuclear explosion destroyed Great Britain. The player takes on the role of the last survivor of a fallout shelter. In order to save his life, he decides to reach the surface. To do so, however, the protagonist first has to find answers for the many questions bothering him as well as discover many dark secrets hiding in every corner of the titular bunker. The player explores subsequent chambers and searches for clues, aiming to reach the ground level. The game stands out with the fact that all the in-game scenes were shot with real actors and inside an authentic fallout shelter located in Great Britain.

Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series - Season 2 is the secon season of the episodic adventure game developed by Telltale Games and set in the Minecraft universe. After the events of the first game, the crew begins to fall out as a result of too many dutuies and lack of time for new adventures. One day, jesse manages to get into trouble. Not only he finds a mysterious cursed glove, but also gets his hand stuck in it. This starts a completely new adventure that will take us to the farthest parts of the world. Just like other games from Telltale, Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series - Season 2 is a rather simple adventure game where story plays the most important role. We influence it by making decisions in its crucial moments. One of the newest introduction to the game that was not present in season one are the so-called observers, people who use a special mobile app to influence players' choices.

An episodic adventure game created by Telltale Games, the experts of the genre, in cooperation with Mojang Ab, The game is set in the cult universe of Minecraft, whose world stands on the brink of destruction, and the only chance of saving it is a legendary brotherhood, known as the Order of the Stone. You play as a character named Jesse, who, together with his friends, sets off on a perilous journey to find the Order and save the world. The title is modeled after other productions from the studio, consisting of 5 separate episodes, throughout which you have to make tough choices that shape the story. What puts this game apart from other Telltale Games titles is the graphics, far from their traditional comic stylistics. Instead, the game features distinctive voxel-art graphics, which means both the environment and characters look like made of big square blocks.

The game was developed by experts in this genre – American studio Telltale Games, also known for such titles as Sam & Max and a couple CSI games. The game depicts the adventures of two film heroes: Marty McFly and the crazy scientist Dr. Emmett Brown, taking off six months after the conclusion of the trilogy. Gameplay boils down to exploration, conversations, puzzle solving, and collecting useful items. The game consists of six episodes, originally distributed in regular time intervals. Back to the Future features colorful, cartoonish graphics. As for the audio, the crazy doctor was voiced by Christopher Lloyd, who reprised his role from the film.

A humoristic adventure game with a classic point-and-click interface. It was developed by Daedalic Entertainment, a studio that specializes in this genre. The story of Deponia can be described as one big comedy of errors and, at the same time, the most unbelievable love story ever shown in a video game. Fans of works by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and of The Simpsons animated TV series, will easily find it interesting. The title refers to a planet filled with heaps of garbage among which the main character, Rufus, lives. His greatest wish is to be rich and live someplace high, above the surface of the hated planet. Once upon a time, a beautiful girl, Goal, falls from the sky, and for Rufus it will mean the beginning of an extraordinary adventure that will quickly prove to be much more than a mission of walking a woman home. The story is shown using attractive, hand-drawn graphics, through which, among others, it provides a large dose of wacky humor.

The plot of The Walking Dead: Season Two is a continuation of the story from the first installment. This time you play as the 11-years-old Clementine, who, like the other characters, is trying to survive in the world infested by a zombie epidemic. The game mechanics remain the same, focusing on exploration, talking to NPCs, searching for items, and solving puzzles. The decisions you make affect the story even much later in the game. Like the first installment from 2012, The Walking Dead: Season Two was released as a series of episodes.

Full Throttle Remastered is a remastered edition of the classic 1995 point-and-click adventure game that was developed by LucasArts. Just like the remaster of the Day of the Tentacle, the refreshed version of Full Throttle was created by Double Fine Productions, a studio made of developers of the original game. The game takes place in a grim future where classic vehicles were replaced with the machines powered by antigravity-based engines. We play as the leader of a motorcycle gang, who, along with his companions, is being accused of killing the owner of the last remaining company that produces classic motorbikes. Our job is to clear our name and find the actual person responsible for that murder. Audiovisuals of the original game were visibly refreshed and improved. New high-resolution backgrounds were created for the remastered version, and every animation frame was re-drawn by hand from scratch.

An extraordinary point-and-click adventure game and a spiritual successor to the legendary The Neverhood, a game developed in 1996 by Doug TenNapel. This new title was created by the author of the original game, who managed to gather nearly entire old staff back together for this project. The story tells of the adventures of a likeable alien named Tommynaut, who survives a spacecraft crash and finds himself on a strange planet, where together with his companion, dog Beak-Beak, the hero gets captured and locked in the titular stronghold of Armikrog. What distinguishes the game, is its unique artwork – in-game locations and character models were made of plasticine and brought to life using time-lapse technique. This time-consuming work was done by a number of puppeteers, animators, and sculptors. Thanks to their work, the developers managed to recreate the unique atmosphere of the original game, which, apart from interesting story and a cast of likeable characters, offered a large doze of wacky humor.
